The enhanced covering device may include a second inner layer disposed inside the first layer, wherein the second layer is made of a second material type. The enhanced covering device may include an elastic band situated on an interior of the hair covering device at a first edge, wherein the elastic band permits air out of the hair covering device while preventing air from flowing back into the interior of the hair covering device.

Abstract: An apparatus and methods are provided for a water-resistant hair pouch that is secure, lightweight, easy to use, and capable of preventing tangles and water damage often encountered due to recreational swimming in pools, water parks, lakes, oceans, and the like. The water-resistant hair pouch comprises a pouch that tapers from an opening to an apex. The opening provides access to a water-resistant cavity inside the pouch. An elastic loop coupled with the pouch, adjacent to the opening, is configured to be wrapped around a ponytail that is inserted through the opening into the water-resistant cavity. A drawstring facilitates cinching the opening around the base of the ponytail to minimize water exposure to the hair, or maintain a dry state of the hair, during immersion in water. Straps are attached to opposite sides of the pouch to enable a practitioner to secure the ponytail within a folded configuration of the pouch.

The interconnected compartments can be inflated to provide buoyancy. The shell further includes an outer layer and an inner layer defining a space therebetween that can also be inflated, or comprised of buoyant material, to provide buoyancy. A pump, compressed air canister or manual filler tube in communication with the interconnected compartments or space within the shell can be used to provide inflation. A pair of ear flaps extends downwardly from the swim cap around a user's head.

In some embodiments, the drape may include a flexible film, and an adhesive layer coupled to the flexible film. The adhesive layer may include a first adhesive disposed on a first portion of the flexible film in a first pattern. The first adhesive can be configured to secure the flexible film proximate to the tissue site. The adhesive layer generally includes a second adhesive disposed on a second portion of the flexible film in a second pattern. The second adhesive can be configured to seal the flexible film proximate to the tissue site. The first pattern and the second pattern are preferably registered so that the first portion and the second portion are offset to cover substantially different portions of the flexible film.

The top and bottom surface of the mat have raised regions thereon which are made up of longitudinally extending raised ribs arranged in parallel fashion with respect to one another and spaced apart a selected distance by longitudinal channels. The longitudinal ribs on the top surface are offset from the longitudinal ribs on the bottom surface in an alternating fashion so that they present a staggered array when viewed in cross section. This particular pattern of raised ribs on the top and bottom surfaces of the mat produces a non-linear deformation pattern under impact forces in use, such as would be caused by athletes running or jumping on an athletic field.

The extra thickness or layering at the ear areas provides increased ear protection in cold and/or windy weather, while the elastic provides an area of increased headband tension below the ears to block sliding of the headwear upwardly out of the proper ear-covering position. This headwear can be used alone or under protective headgear, for example beneath a hockey helmet.

Abstract: A cap includes a flexible body having a dome shape for conveniently conforming to a swimmer's head. The body includes an outer layer and an inner layer spaced from the outer layer such that a cavity is defined therebetween. The inner layer is provided with a plurality of conduits and a strap is integral with the outer layer and travels about a circumference of the cap. The present invention further includes a mechanism for effectively removing the stagnant air such that the inner layer can effectively maintain surface contact with the swimmer's hair and cooperate with the strap for preventing water from entering beneath the cap.

Abstract: A heat activated form fitting hair cap to protect the hair and to retain hair products in close proximity to the hair. A loosely fitted hair cap is made from a heat activated shrink-wrap material that may be substantially moisture and gas resistant. The cap is placed over the hair, and optionally, secured with a variety of retention means such as elastic, drawstrings, or ties. Upon application of heat, normally from a hair dryer, at or slightly above the activation temperature of the plastic, the shrink-wrap material is activated and shrinks snugly about the hair. This effectuates both a protection of the hair, and a tendency to trap and retain hair treatment products that might have been applied to the hair. Options include pouches containing releasable hair treatment products on the inside of the cap and tear away areas to customize the size of the cap to the wearer.

Abstract: A method of fabricating an articulated joint for a pressure vessel, especially a pressure suit, by separately forming a structural fabric and a gas barrier layer into a series of alternating peaks and valleys. The structural fabric can be formed into the three dimensional shape by patterning or heat shrinkage. The resulting articulated joint, pressure vessels and pressurized suits are also described.
