Abstract: The invention described herein provides a method and apparatus for supporting an object inside a vessel. The device comprises a vessel connector 20 having an annular ring 32, with an internal flange 38, and preferably a first 34 and second 36 set of threads. The vessel connector 20 supports and locates a support membrane 58 having a perforation 66 into which an object 28, such as a paintbrush 30 is inserted. The support membrane 58 locates a portion of the object internal to a connected vessel 22 which may be filled with solvent 54 thereby allowing the object 28 to be cleaned while limiting harmful chemicals from entering the environment through evaporation.

Abstract: A holding portion formed in a three-dimensional shape and with a cosmetic material adhered thereto is stored in a bottomed tubular receptacle, a shaft body extending from the holding portion is made to enter a hole communicating with inside and outside in a receptacle bottom portion, and in a state in which a lower end surface is flush with an outer surface of the bottom portion or located inside the hole, the shaft body is mounted to the bottom portion. Abstract: Some embodiments relate to a cap for controlling fluid flow from a bottle that includes an opening for dispensing the fluid. The cap includes a first section and a second section. The first section defines an orifice and a plurality of air channels. The opening of the bottle is in flow communication with the orifice and the plurality of air channels. The second section includes a first plurality of rings for securing the opening of the bottle, such that at least one of the air channels and the orifice creates an air-lock to secure the fluid within the bottle.

Abstract: Reconfigurable paint brush containers provide both display packaging and an edging tool. The container has a painting edge aligned with bristles of the paint brush and a fulcrum on which the paint brush rests. The fulcrum initially spaces the bristles of the paint brush away from the painting edge in a resting state. The painting edge is aligned with a wall corner, where paint is to be applied and a force is applied to the paint brush in the direction of the fulcrum. The force overcomes the spacing effect and brings the bristles into contact with the painting edge such that paint on the bristles is applied in a straight line to a portion of the wall exposed to the bristles at the painting edge.

Abstract: A system for applying a pipe joining agent, such as flux, primer or adhesive, to pipe structure surfaces. The system includes a male brush that cooperates with a female brush that is removably mounted on a container than contains the agent to be applied. The male brush can be inserted through the female brush and into the container to pick up the agent. As the male brush is withdrawn from the container, the female brush wipes excess agent from the male brush so that the female brush picks up agent thereon. The male brush can then be inserted into the end of a pipe structure to apply the agent to the interior surface of the pipe structure. Also, the female brush can be removed from the container and then inserted over the end of a pipe structure to apply the agent to the exterior surface of a pipe structure.

An end portion of the enclosure has a compressible stabilizer pad to hold the paint brush securely in place. The apparatus also provides a brush comb that clips onto the exterior of the enclosure providing a toothed comb and a pair of stiff bristle brushes to clean and condition the bristles as needed.

The plastic vessel has an inner space with a sealed bottom as well as a through top flange. The top flange of the plastic vessel is sleeved tightly into the external metal cylinder, and embedded into the internal curling portion formed by the open top of external metal cylinder. Moreover, the sealed bottom of the plastic vessel is extended into the open bottom of the external metal cylinder, and kept with a recessed spacing to the curling flange, while the bottom of the external metal cylinder is exposed. The barrel can be applied to toilet brush assemblies in order to reduce the manufacturing cost, prevent rust and facilitate the cleaning process with better economic benefits and applicability.

One or more magnetic elements are used to hold the brush in place in the apparatus. The magnetic elements are positioned to engage the ferromagnetic ferrule of a paintbrush. An attachment means may be coupled to the apparatus thus allowing for convenient attachment to a persons belt. A plurality of ventilation holes may be provided on the apparatus. A spring means may be provided for urging the bristle shaping flap against the brush bristles.

In a preferred embodiment, a handle of the paint brush extends upwardly out of the brush saver and the bristles of the paint brush are enclosed with the solvent in the brush saver. The brush saver may also have a permanent magnet on the side of the body for attaching the saver on a paint can, an absorbent open cell pad in the interior of the body and a removable cap on a side of the body for adding and removing solvent from the enclosure.

Abstract: An air tight paint brush jacket is provided which seals a wet paint brush in its wet condition from drying out until its next use. The jacket is composed of a sleeve and boot prepared from an elastomeric sheath. A shoulders section and a ferrule section of the sleeve firmly engages the brush shoulders and ferrule portions of the brush. An expanded bristles section loosely contains the bristles portion of the brush. The boot is hengedly attached to the sleeve and is structured to securely engage the entire jacket in an air tight seal. The frictionally engaged neck and form fitting neck, shoulders and ferrule firmly engage the brush handle, shoulders and ferrule portions to support the enclosed brush in an upright position and the loosely contained bristles portion preserves the bristles in its painting condition.

The lid includes a base and lip and a strap surrounding the lip to secure the position of the lid and prevent air from seeping into the container. The base of the lid can be a solid, smooth surface, or it can be configured with special features such as suction vents and pour spouts. The base further includes a hatch and slots for receiving and holding tools suspended from the lid into the container. The hatch includes features including a hatch cover, gasket, and hinge cover that prevent the passage of air into the container that when paired with the easily sealed lid on the container prevents air, pests, and other particles from ruining or contaminating the container contents or tools.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for applying a liquid coating onto an object. The apparatus includes a device that has a handle and a transfer medium which is attached to the handle. The apparatus further includes a cover that is attached to the device. The cover includes a closure element that is operable to open and close an end of the cover. When the end of the cover is open, the cover is movable between a first position where the cover protects the transfer medium and a second position where the cover protects the handle. In another example embodiment, the cover is formed of a removable first layer that is positioned adjacent to the transfer medium when the cover is in the first position and a removable second layer that is positioned adjacent to the handle when the cover is in the second position.

Abstract: A paint storage apparatus comprising a cap, a container divided into a plurality of chambers, and a lid having a plurality of orifices is disclosed. The apparatus is preferably substantially cylindrical and is uniformly formed from a homogenous material. When the lid is fixed on the container, the orifices are aligned over the chambers, with one of the plurality of orifices over each of the plurality of chambers. Further, when the lid and the container are mated, the plurality of chambers in the container are sealed such that paint cannot be interchanged between the chambers. The cap is configured to detachably couple to the lid and prevent spillage and spoilage of paint stored within the container. In addition, the cap and the lid preferably each further comprise tabs configured to facilitate removal of the lid from the container and to facilitate removal of the cap from the lid.

The front flap is openable for inserting a brush in the compartment. To be openable, the front flap is attached to the bottom by a hinge. Alternatively, the bottom and front flap form a relatively rigid 90° corner and the caddy is composed of a material that will bend as a result of application of a moderate amount of force. The brush bristles fit into the compartment and is secured by a flexible strap that extends over the brush from the back.
