The removable lid is selectively positionable between a closed configuration wherein it closes the open top, and an open configuration wherein it is free from the hollow container and serves as a pull handle for the cleaning tool. The removable lid includes a connection section for connecting to the distal end of the pull cord after the pull cord has been inserted through the gun barrel, and a handle section for gripping by a user to assist with pulling the cleaning tool through the gun barrel.

Abstract: With the subject invention, a container for an injection device with an injection needle is provided. The container includes a body having a compartment formed therein to accommodate the injection device in both a pre-use and a post-use condition. The body defines a first opening through which the injection device in its pre-use condition may be accessed, and the body defines a second opening into which the injection device may be directed in its post-use condition. A closure is provided for closing the first opening. The container also includes a retainer for retaining the injection device in the container in its post-use condition preventing access to the injection needle after the injection device has been used to administer an injection. Advantageously, the container of the subject invention provides not only a pre-use packaging for the injection device, but also a post-use sharps container for the injection device.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for delivering pollen for the directed pollination of plants are provided herein. One example embodiment comprises a rigid tube having a first end, a second end, and a channel defined therebetween, wherein the rigid tube is configured to receive the tassel of the maize plant proximate the first end and to interact with the ear shoot of the maize plant proximate the second end, and wherein the channel defines a path between the tassel and the ear shoot so as to enable transfer of pollen from the tassel to the ear shoot. In another example embodiment, the rigid tube may be telescoping such that the overall length of the rigid tube may be adjustable. In another example embodiment, the apparatus may include a fan configured to propel air onto the tassel to aid in the transfer of pollen through the channel to the ear shoot. The apparatuses and methods are applicable for directed cross-pollination between different plants of the same species and plants of different species.
