Abstract: A packet for tobacco products includes an inner container housing a group of tobacco products. A bottom wall is positioned at end portions of the tobacco products. An outer container houses the inner container slidably in parallel with axes of the tobacco products, thus allowing the inner container to slide between a retracted position, and an extracted or raised position. The bottom wall of the inner container forms a supporting portion abutting the end portion of one of the tobacco products. The top wall of the outer container includes an opening, and each sliding action of the inner container towards the raised position causes an axial movement towards the top wall of the outer container of the tobacco product abutting the supporting portion and causing a pickup portion of the tobacco product to come out through the opening in the outer container.

Abstract: A packet for tobacco products, includes a mobile container to receive the tobacco products, and a box-shaped body, housing the mobile container such that the mobile container can slide relative to the box-shaped body between a position in which the mobile container is completely inserted in the box-shaped body and a position in which a part of it is extracted from the box-shaped body. Each mobile container includes an inner container housing a group of tobacco products, and an outer container housing the inner container slidably in parallel with axes of the tobacco products, thus allowing the inner container to slide between a retracted position, and an extracted or raised position, in which the inner container is positioned close to a top wall of the outer container and a portion of a tobacco product is accessible through an opening in the outer container.

Abstract: A cigarette packet substantially having the shape of a parallelepiped and containing a group of cigarettes includes an outer case formed by two larger lateral walls, respectively a front wall and a rear wall, and by two smaller lateral walls or sides, by a lower wall or base and by an upper wall or lid. An inner case is inserted in the outer case. The outer case includes a projection for controlling the lid, the projection being interposed between the front wall of the outer case and a front wall of the inner case and moveable between a first position in which the lid is closed and a second position in which the lid is open. A mechanism is provided for reciprocal engagement of the projection and the inner case for partially extracting the group of cigarettes from the outer case.

Abstract: The present invention is related to an apparatus to facilitate the retrieval of a personal device from a compartment or pocket. The apparatus has a back surface with a support attached to the back surface in a manner that allows the support to move and a tab or loop on one end of the support. An elastic tape is attached to the back surface and to the support. Also attached to the support is a ribbon which is secured to the elastic tape at a connection point. The support can be extended to retrieve the personal device from the compartment or pocket which stretches the elastic tape and the ribbon until the ribbon is fully extended preventing the further extension of the support. The elastic tape may then facilitate the retraction of the apparatus into the compartment or pocket.

Abstract: A cigarette box includes an inner case (2) enclosing a bundle of cigarettes, an outer case (8) enclosing the inner case (2) in a manner allowing the inner case (2) to be moved up and down, and having a hinged lid (12) forming a part of a top wall thereof and a window (10) formed in a side wall to partly expose the inner case (2), and a link (20) connecting the inner case (2) and the hinged lid (12). When the inner case (2) is pushed up through the window (10) of the outer case (8), the link (20) urges the hinged lid (12) upward so that hinged lid (12) is opened. In an open position, the hinged lid (12) provides an access opening (16) projecting from the plane of the top wall of the outer case (8) and facing sideways of the outer case (8).

Abstract: A cigarette case includes an outer casing hingedly secured to a cover; a U-shaped first pusher proximate the other side of the outer casing and including at least one longitudinal groove or arcuate section; a trigger member secured onto the other side of the outer casing; a spring biased hinge-type ejector lid on a top corner of the outer casing; a sliding cross-shaped second pusher; and a sliding V-shaped member resiliently interconnecting the second pusher and the cover. A plurality of cigarettes are contained in a space defined between the first pusher and the second pusher such that pulling up the trigger member a predetermined distance will lift the first pusher to cause the at least one cigarette engaged therewith to open the ejector lid.

Ports are provided into the containers with an associated snap cap oriented such that the neck extends vertically when received in the processing machine. A shipping cassette system includes two stacked upper and lower cassettes, each having a plurality of vertical walls that laterally surround an interior volume. A processing machine includes a cap opening bar and a mounting mechanism with a pivot point aligning the bar with the caps of a chemical delivery container assembly along a side of the caps opposite to the side along which the hinges are aligned such that rotation of the cap opening bar about the pivot point simultaneously opens the fluid supply ports by rotating the caps about their hinges.

The cigarettes are packaged together with a fan-folded pressure element of stiff paper placed between the group and one flank, which is rendered flexible along at least one line or portion of elastic deformation and able thus to compress and expand elastically along an axis of compression and expansion normal to the axis of the packet; as a result of the tension stored in the pressure element, the cigarettes are invested with a uniformly applied pushing force and biased toward the access area whilst a similarly uniform reaction force is directed against the inside face of the flank.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a tubular humidor with a mechanism for retrieving cigars stored therein. The tubular humidor includes a tubular member having an open end and a closed end and a mechanism for covering the open end of the tubular member, thereby isolating the interior of the tubular humidor from the ambient environmental conditions. The retrieval mechanism is inserted into the tubular humidor concurrently with the cigars to be stored therein. When the covering mechanism is disengaged and pulled away from the open end of the tubular humidor, the retrieval mechanism biases the cigars through the open end for retrieval by the cigar smoker. The tubular humidor further comprises a replaceable humidifier which may be an integral component of the retrieval mechanism.

Abstract: The invention relates to a blank arranged to be folded into an inner wrapper for wrapping a bundle of articles such as cigarettes within a pack. The blank comprises a fixed portion which is anchored relative to the pack and a displaceable portion which is arranged to lift at least one of the cigarettes clear of the bundle of cigarettes while facilitating subsequent removal thereof from the pack. The displaceable portion comprises a cover flap for covering the accessible ends of the article which are exposed on opening of the pack, and a lifting strip joined to the cover flap. The cover flap is arranged to tear away from the lifting strip only once at least one of the cigarettes has been lifted clear of the bundle of cigarettes under influence of the lifting strip.

Abstract: A cigarettes case comprising (i) a case body with a top partially cut away to provide a top opening located adjacent to one side of the case body for taking out a cigarette from the case body, with a vertical slit provided in the one side, and with an opposed, open side for supplying cigarettes into the case body 1, (ii) a removable side wall member for closing the open side, and (iii) a slider located in the case body and having a lid portion, an upright portion, and a projecting bottom portion. The lid portion closes the top opening when the slider is on the bottom of the case body. The upright portion is in contact with the one side of the case body. The bottom portion projects toward the open side of the case body and has sufficient size to support at least one cigarette thereon. The upright portion is provided at its outer surface with a projection projecting outwardly through the slit. A handle is located outside the case body and is connected to the projection.

The inner shell is integrally pivotably connected to the outer shell. The package includes a snap-lock member. The inner and the outer shell are made from a single blank. Optionally, the inner shell, the outer shell, and the snap-lock member can be made from a single blank. The inner shell and the outer shell are connected along a hinge line integral with the single blank.

Abstract: Cigarette groups (11) are wrapped in an inner blank (16) made of tinfoil or the like within a cigarette pack designed as a hinge-lid pack. To make it easier to extract cigarettes (12), the inner blank (16) is equipped with a flap (26) which can be pulled off as a result of punching lines (27).To make it even easier to extract cigarettes (12), the inner blank (16) is equipped, by means of lateral punching lines (31, 32), with a lift-out strip (30) which makes it possible to lift a number of cigarettes (12) in order to extract them. The lift-out strip (30) extends by means of a gripping tab (34) into the region of the flap (26). When the latter is pulled off, the gripping tab (34) is exposed, in such a way that it projects from the opened cigarette pack and can be grasped by hand. The lift-out strip (30) is connected permanently to the inner blank (16) as part of the latter.

Abstract: A blank for forming a parallelepipedal box or a parallelepipedal box element is constructed with a removal strip in such a manner that parallel tear lines extend through three connected wall sections of the blank. The tear lines end in one wall section at an articulation area. The tear lines delimit the removal strip which can be torn out of a finished pack or box and upon which a pulling force can be exerted in such a manner that the removal strip is bent about the articulation area, thus causing objects to be lifted from the box by the removal strip.

Abstract: A can, particularly a cylindrical can for maintaining aroma comprises a bottom carrying the contents of the can, which bottom is arranged slidably within the can and which bottom is movable by means of pulling means 3, which are attached to a rotatable ring 5 which can be rotated in a plane perpendicular to the direction of movement, wherein the pulling force or tension exerted on the pulling elements 3 by a rotation of the rotatable ring 5 is directionally changed by a means 4 for changing direction into a tension or pulling force in the direction of the movement of the bottom 10.

Abstract: A box for cigarettes, cigars or the like smoking units comprises a box body having a longitudinally displaceable slide cover. A lifting hoop or stirrup of spring wire serves for lifting the smoking units at one end, while the cover has been partly removed. The wire hoop has two ends which are inserted in opposite side portions of the box body, and two legs which are depressed into corresponding grooves of the body by the cover when the latter is completely closed, as well as a cross portion which extends across the top face of the box body and which is raised, the legs adjacent the cross portion being biassed upwardly away from the box front face when the cover is partly slid away therefrom to expose the larger portion of the hoop.
