Abstract: A 3-D printed device comprising one or more structures, the structures comprising a plurality of magnetically responsive particles and one or more diblock or triblock copolymers; the diblock or triblock copolymers having an A-B, A-B-A, or A-B-C block-type structure in which the A-blocks and C-blocks are an aromatic-based polymer or an acrylate-based polymer and the B-blocks are an aliphatic-based polymer. These 3-D printed devices may be formed using a method that comprises providing a magnetic ink composition; applying the magnetic ink composition to a substrate in a 3-D solvent cast printing process to form one or more structures; and drying the one or more structures formed from the magnetic ink composition. The dried structures can exhibit one or more regions of magnetic permeability greater than 1.3×10?6 H/m.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a tape embedded drive having a head-gimbal assembly (HGA) and a contact plate. By using a support structure or contact plate beneath the tape, read and write heads can be designed to be narrower than the tape. The support structure or contact plate can stretch or relax the tape so that the spacing between servo tracks on the tape corresponds to the servo to servo spacing on the head. HGAs, which are narrower than the tape, can fly over the tape and read data from and write data to the tape. The HGA can have a single head or multiple heads. Additionally, multiple independent head assemblies can also be used for reading from and writing to the same tape.

Abstract: A customizable card wallet accommodates a plurality of credit and identification cards. The wallet comprises a substantially rectangular top plate having a window opening in the central portion thereof, a substantially rectangular bottom plate having a pair of oppositely disposed relief channels at the periphery thereof for receiving a pair of oppositely disposed internal springs, and a substantially U-shaped card body interposed between the top and bottom plates, thereby defining an interior pocket. Upon insertion of at least one credit or identification card within the interior pocket, the internal springs urge the at least one card against the top plate interior facing surface.

The power device is connected to the isolated docking box and the electrodes therein. The cooling pipeline connected to the isolated docking box includes a second pair of joints for engaging with the first pair of joints. Any coolant leakage and falling off objects can be retained inside the isolated docking box, thereby protecting the control equipment from damages.

Abstract: A strong, lightweight protector for digital radiography imagers may be used to take hip, pelvis or chest X-ray images of a bedridden patient weighing in excess of 400 pounds. A rigid sleeve or case has rectangular top and bottom panels and at least two opposing side panels fanning an interior cavity accessible through a slot. The slot has a height in the range of 0.5 to 2 inches and a width in the range of 18 to 24 inches, with the interior cavity having a depth in the range of 18 to 24 inches. All of the panels are made of radiolucent material. The panels are made of lightweight foam covered with carbon fiber and resin. A back portion may be provided such that the interior cavity is only accessible through the slot. An optional carrying handle may extend from one of the sides panels.

The bases (11, 21) have perforations (12, 22) defined by elliptically shaped perforation walls (13, 23) with their major axes vertical to allow easy flow of the cleaning fluid through the container and minimum contact points with the contents or other containers. The internal corners (30) of the perforations (12, 22) in horizontal sections are smoothly curved to minimize debris or deposits collecting and resisting removal. A method of cleaning or sterilizing using the container is also described.

Abstract: An electromagnetic shielding carrying case comprising a front panel hingedly connected to a middle and rear panel. The front and middle panels each comprise an electromagnetic shielding member with a card holding means affixed to each. The carrying case has a closed position wherein upstanding walls of the front and rear panels are brought into engagement with one another so as to form an enclosure around the middle panel, thus shielding contactless smartcards contained within from being scanned by an RFID reader. A releasable locking means holds the front panel closed against the rear panel, and can be unlocked so the front panel pivots open, creating a first open position wherein contactless smartcards can be accessed in both card holding means. The middle panel can also be pivoted open to reveal a receptacle within the rear shell that holds paper currency or one additional card.

The system also features an alarm and reset mechanism for clearing entered passwords. Passwords are concealed from the sight of a viewer for further protection. The system can be similarly incorporated into peripheral devices such as hard-disk drives (HDDs), printers, scanners, cameras, and portable memory devices.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for packaging electronically powered cards are provided for maintaining electronically powered cards in a deactivated state. In an embodiment, a housing having a face panel and two side panels attached to the face panel at opposite sides is configured to provide an offset distance between an activation device on the card and the housing so that the activation device is prevented from being activated by a force exerted on the housing. Annular or circular devices can also be provided for establishing an offset distance between activation devices on the card and planar substrates.
