  • Patent number: 4674628
Abstract: A portable pocket-size card holding device includes a holder capable of holding a plurality of cards. The holder comprises a pair of spaced floor and top members, laterally spaced side members extending between the floor and top members, and an end member extending between a first set of ends of the floor, top and side members so that the one end of the holder is closed off and its other end is open, with the members defining between them a cavity. Spaced channels are provided along the top and floor members. The channels are located inside the cavity and extend substantially parallel to one another, with the channels of the top member being aligned with those of the bottom members so that, in use, cards in the holder will extend substantially parallel to the side members. Each pair of channels in the top and floor members provides a card receiving zone capable of accommodating a single card.

  • Patent number: 4645077
Abstract: A container for use in holding receipts or the like comprises a hollow body formed of contiguous bottom, front, rear, and opposed side panels, and a cover integrally hinged to the top of the rear panel which is divided into contiguous top and front portions by a second integral hinge spaced parallel to the integrally hinged juncture of the cover with the rear panel. The cover is pivotal about its hinged juncture with the rear panel and the top and front portions of the cover are pivotal about the second integral hinge. A retaining tab integral with the front portion of the cover is adapted to engage the interior surface of the front panel of the body when the cover is closed and is disengaged therefrom upon upward and pivotal outward movement of the cover. A lifting tab integral with the front portion facilitates opening and closing of the cover. A fabric fastener on the exterior surface of the rear panel allows the container to be releasably attached to other objects for placement at a convenient location.

  • Patent number: 4518080
Abstract: A retainer (A) for a card, especially ID-card, having a bottom plate (1) and thereto applied or formed opposite edges (2, 3), which are formed with slots (2a, 3a) and the bottom parts (2a', 3a') of which are intended to guide opposite edge portions (4, 5) of the card when the card is moved into said retainer. Between said edges (2,3) one or more means (6,7) are arranged to give the card a curvature between the edges. Said means (6,7) is in the form of two parallel ridges formed in the bottom plate (1) and said ridges (6,7) are omitted at certain portions (8,9). Said portion (8,9) is adjacent but at a distance from stop means (10,10a11,11a) in the retainer for the movement of the card (B). Said stop means (10,11) for the card is in the form of a rim having a central notch or recess (10a) and between the stop means and the portion are, in the direction of movement for the card, arranged wedge formed ridges (6a,7a).

  • Patent number: 4373159
Abstract: An identifier such as a strip of heat resistant metal, containing preselected identifying information in the form of an alpha-numeric serial number is concealingly retained in a carrier member. The carrier member has a preselected shape and configuration adapted for releasable engagement to a structure, such as an item of personal property, to be identified by information such as the alpha-numeric serial number to disclose in a concealed manner ownership of the structure. In one manner of use, the carrier is an integral part of the structure to prevent visual detection of the carrier on the structure by a thief. The carrier member includes in one embodiment an amorphous body with the metal strip identifier encapsulated within the amorphous body. The amorphous body is indistinguishably attached to an item of personal property or the like, which ownership is identified by the information inscribed on the metal strip and is concealed on the item.
