Abstract: A method for mounting a tool to a surgical device using a packaging body. A proximal section of the packaging body is articulated about a second boundary relative to a first distal section of the packaging body for removing a proximal end of the tool from a proximal cavity for exposing the proximal end. The proximal end is mounted to the surgical device while a distal end of the tool remains securely retained by first and second distal sections of the packaging body within a distal cavity. After mounting, the distal end is released from the distal cavity by articulating one distal section relative to the other distal section for exposing a first portion of the distal end that was retained by the one distal section. Thereafter, the other distal section is removed for exposing a remaining portion of the distal end that was retained by the other distal section.

Abstract: A packaging assembly for a drill bit. The packaging assembly includes a front clip including a front side, a rear side opposite the front side, a drill bit holding region configured to receive a portion of the drill bit, and a post extending from the drill bit holding region. The packaging assembly also includes a back clip that is separate from the front clip. The back clip includes an aperture that receives the post. The post includes an enlarged, melted head to inhibit removal of the back clip from the front clip.

Abstract: A multi-compartment package for dispensing plural items is disclosed. The package includes plural individual sealed compartment units which are releasably secured to each other. Each compartment unit includes a flanged base from which a chamber depends. The chamber serves to hold an item to be dispensed and is surrounded by a flange. A closure member, in the form of a respective portion of a frangible cover sheet, is adhesively secured to the flange of each compartment unit. Each compartment unit includes at least one foldable tab in a corner of its flange, which can be folded down to enable the closure member to be removed from the compartment unit after the compartment unit is separated from other compartment units of the package.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to “wet” transcatheter prosthetic heart valve or other implant packaging and assemblies in which a prosthetic heart valve or other implant is loaded into a first portion of a delivery device and positioned within a container in which sterilizing fluid is retained to sterilize interior portions of the container as well as provide moisture to prevent the implant from drying out. The disclosure also relates to methods of sterilizing the disclosed assemblies. Some disclosed methods include at least two sterilizing steps and adjustment of a mechanical seal member or formation of multiple seals so that areas proximate the seals are also sterilized during the sterilization process.

Abstract: The disclosure pertains to a vessel for holding replacement heart valves and associated positioning and installation apparatus which is configured and adapted to contain a biocidal sterilization fluid during and following exposure of a delivery system for the replacement heart valve to sterilization by ionizing radiation and methods of use therefor. The vessel includes a shield which limits exposure of biologically derived material therein to radiation. The vessel also provides a storage and shipping container for the replacement heart valve in which the biologically derived material is maintained in a sterile fluid environment.

Abstract: A carton for displaying articles attachable to a flip sign is disclosed, which includes a box structure having a back panel, a bottom panel, a top panel, a pair of side panels, a top front panel, a bottom front panel, a first inner panel and a second inner panel, the first inner panel having a pair of slots configured to receive a pair of tabs on an outer free edge of the second inner panel. The first and second inner panels rest adjacent to the back panel upon placing a plurality of articles within a recess, which is formed between the top front panel, the bottom front panel, the back panel, and the pair of side panels.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for packaging a plurality of containers for substances for medical, pharmaceutical or cosmetic applications in a packaging structure. The structure has a box-shaped upper part and a box-shaped lower part, forming a box-shaped receptacle in which the containers are accommodated. The plurality of containers are disposed directly on the bottom of the lower part that the containers are supported vertically on the bottom of the lower part, and the upper part is put onto the upper ends of the containers. The positions of the containers on the lower part are secured using side walls that project vertically from the bottom of the lower part and/or of the upper part, and the upper part and/or the lower part is configured and provided in a way that the containers are in direct contact with each other in the box-shaped receptacle and cannot be displaced relative to each other.

Abstract: A sliding lid for a food container which has first and second flanged edge portions on opposing sides of its opening. The sliding lid includes a main lid panel with first and second flange-receiving channels configured to slidably receive the flanged edge portions of the food container from an open position, in which the opening of the container is uncovered, to a closed position, in which the main lid panel covers the opening of the container. The first and second flange-receiving channels are configured to retain the lid on the container. The sliding lid may include a backstop provided between the two flange-receiving channels and configured to restrict further sliding of the lid beyond the closed position. The sliding lid may include a front flap which can be sealed onto the container to further restrict sliding of the lid.

The card carries a reusable storage container in which articles are stored. The container includes a body with an opening closed by a transparent, sealable, removable and re-sealable lid. The container is mounted on the card and the device is mounted on the hanger so a prospective purchaser can see the articles through the transparent lid. In one embodiment, the body includes a permanent magnet abutting the base.

The main body has a pair of grooves and a pair of positioning portions at two sides thereof for engagement of a pair of cell phone protection cases. The pair of transparent lids is adapted to cover the two sides of the main body. The seal rib is adapted to clip the pair of transparent lids, so that the transparent lids and the main body are sealed to prevent dust from entering the packing box. The packing box can be assembled and disassembled repeatedly for a consumer to check the cell phone protection cases. The packing box has a better seal effect and can be used conveniently.

Each piece can comprise recycled paper, paperboard, molded pulp or some combination thereof.

Abstract: A reclosable blister package for packaging one or more articles is provided with a blister that is capable of being closed against the face of backing so that the blister and the face of the backing can cooperatively form an article containing cavity. The blister includes a cavity portion, a flange, a hinge and a locking protrusion. The backing may include a panel having a blister slot and an interlocking opening. The blister slot may include a flange insertion portion and a hinge seat. The flange may be fitted through the blister slot and secured to the panel to hold the blister in place. The blister may be movable about the hinge to allow the package to be opened and closed. The locking protrusion may be configured to selectively snap-lock with the interlocking opening in the backing to hold the blister in the closed position.

Abstract: A novel display package, packaged product, and method of packaging a product are hereby provided. In one illustrative embodiment, a package includes a base, a case, and a card that may be fitted together, for packaging a product positioned on the base and within the case. The base may include bottom and top engaging elements. The case may include a top end engaging element and a bottom end configured to engagingly fit with the top engaging element of the base. The card may include a lower section and an upper section, the lower section of the card configured to engagingly fit with the bottom engaging element of the base, and the upper section of the card configured to engagingly fit with the top end engaging element of the case. Display packages, packaged products, and methods are also disclosed in a variety of other embodiments.

Abstract: A three-dimensional illuminated greeting card which combines a unique card construction having a 3D pop-out structure with one or more lights contained therein. The 3D pop-out structure forms an internal cavity in which illumination means and other electronic components are contained. One or more sides of the 3D structure are made of translucent or semi-translucent material, creating a screen that can be illuminated from behind by one or more miniature lights, such as LED lights. The light or lights may be connected to an integrated circuit chip that can be programmed with various lighting effects. The greeting card may optionally include other electronic components which are configured to play sound or music or perform other electronic effects.

Abstract: A tray has a bottom panel, side and end panels and top shoulders at opposed ends of the tray. A separate cover extends across the top and down opposed sides of the tray. The cover has attachment tabs that extend into attachment slots in the tray. The trays may be stacked with an upper tray resting on the shoulders of the lower tray. The cover is a cover for the stack of trays with the side panels of the cover sized for different numbers of trays in the stack. One embodiment has stacking tabs extending above the tray. The cover has cut-outs to accommodate the stacking tabs.

Abstract: A fluid container for packing a product includes a check valve for each container member. A bonding structure of check-valves to a fluid container and a production apparatus of fluid container are disclosed in detail where the check valve is capable of reliably keeping the expansion of the fluid container without any fluid leakage after inflating the fluid container. As the check-valve is bonded to only one of thermoplastic container films, both films of the check-valve are fixed to one of the container films at a plurality of seal portions, thereby preventing the reverse flow by tightly closing the check valve. The plurality of seal portions in a flow pass of the fluid disrupt the fluid flow so as to add resistance to the fluid flow.

Abstract: A container (12) suitable for use in packaging pharmaceutical products such as tablets and capsules. The container (12) can be withdrawn from a box or sleeve (14) in a first direction X to a fully extended position whereby a user can remove any item stored by the container (12). The container (12) has a base (32) which includes an end portion (40) that remains substantially within the box or sleeve (14) when in the fully extended position. The base (32) carries at least one chamber formation (42) for containing an item to be removed by the user. The base (32) also has at least one stabilizing formation (44) on the end portion (40) that interacts with the box or sleeve (14) when in the fully extended position to resist pivoting of the container (12) relative to the box or sleeve (14). The or each stabilizing formation (44) differs in size and/or shape to the or each chamber formation (42), and has a length in the first direction X that is greater than or equal to its width in a second direction Y.

Abstract: A theft deterrent display package for at least one article comprises a product cradle having an interior space with a perimeter. A peripheral flange extends outwardly from the perimeter of the interior space. A locking slot is configured along the perimeter of the interior space. At least one self-standing leg extends downwardly from the interior space upon which the display package stands alone. A backboard is defined by a front face and a back face. A locking tab comprises a free end extends outwardly from one edge of the back face. The locking tab includes two angled fold lines used in assisting the free end of the locking tab to be inserted into the locking slot to securely enclose the display package.

Abstract: Extravascular system packaging systems are adapted to facilitate opening of the package and to facilitate one or more auxiliary uses of the packaging systems. Auxiliary uses include the use of at least a portion of the packaging system as a pre-insertion table and as a temporary disposal receptacle. In its use as a pre-insertion table, the packaging system is adapted to provide a stable temporary storage tool where the extravascular system is readily accessible to the medical practitioner. In its use as a temporary disposal receptacle, the packaging system is adapted to provide a stabilized receptacle adapted to temporarily receive a deployed needle assembly until the needle assembly can be properly disposed of in a sharps container.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a package which allows a product to be displayed. In one embodiment, the package of the present invention can stand alone independently on an integrated cardboard base or can be hung from a bracket or shelf as a point of sale display. In another embodiment, the package of the present invention is able to be separated into its component parts so that such parts can be, if so required, independently recycled. In still another embodiment, due to its ability to be separated the package of the present invention can comprise various components formed from dissimilar materials (e.g., paper and plastic).

Abstract: A packaging structure is disclosed. In accordance with one aspect, the structure includes a blister (16) including a flange (20) and a body portion (22), a front card (12) defining a blister receiving opening and a first hang tab notch (30) therein, the blister receiving opening being sized and shaped to receive the body portion therethrough and prevent passage of the flange OC therethrough. The structure also includes a rear card (14) defining a second hang tab notch (36) therein; and a hang tab reinforcement card (18) defining a third hang tab notch (42) therein, wherein the first, second and third hang tab. notches are generally aligned and the front card is sealed to the rear card to secure the flange and the hang tab reinforcement card therebetween. Various substrates may be used to form the packaging structure. The structure may be provided with internal or external coatings to provide strength, printability, and adhesion between the various parts.

Abstract: A card and blister package for small articles of commerce has a clear plastic blister piece, a card and a retainer piece. The blister piece had an article-receiving cavity and a flange extends along the upper edge of the cavity, and pluralities of upwardly extending locking posts are spaced apart along the flange. The card has openings for receiving therethrough the locking posts and the retainer piece had a plurality of integral downwardly-opening locking caps spaced therealong, whereby when the posts are engaged through the card openings the caps can be snapped into locking engagement with the blister posts so as to secure the card to the blister. Each cap is encircled by an arrangement of perforations, so as to detachably connect the cap to the retainer piece and whereby twisting of the cap will cause it to shear free of the retainer, and rotation through about 90 degrees will cause the caps to unlock from the posts, allowing the package to be opened.

Abstract: A package comprising a rear member pivotally connected to a front member at a pivot. The package has a closed position wherein the front member is engaged with the rear member to define an interior space therebetween and an open position allowing access to the interior space. At least one of the front member and the rear member includes support structure for supporting products in the interior space. A projection having an aperture for allowing the package to be hung on a rod extends from the front member and the rear member. The rear member includes a foot allowing the package to stand substantially upright on a horizontal surface. The front member and the rear member include a latch and a slot, with the latch being configured to be inserted into the slot for maintaining the package in the closed position.

Abstract: A fold line separating an upper section from a lower section of a drug display card such that the upper section is folded downwardly to lie parallel to and in contact with the lower portion. The upper portion is interengaged with the lower portion so as to secure the upper portion in place. In addition, both the upper portion and lower portion include a hanging hole which are in alignment with each other to form a single through passage when the upper edge is folded along an upper portion of the lower portion of the card. A double thickness reinforced hanging card is thereby provided.

Abstract: A suspending device for screwdrivers has a suspending rod and multiple sliders. The suspending rod has two holes defined through the suspending rod respectively near two ends of the suspending rod. The sliders are slidably attached to the suspending rod. Each slider has a holder, two clamping arms and a holding bore. The clamping arms respectively extend from top edge and bottom edge of the holder and respectively engage with top edge and bottom edge of the supporting rod. The holding bore is defined through the holder to hold a shank of a screwdriver. Accordingly, the suspending device can fit with different types of screwdrivers and is versatile in use.

Abstract: Display systems for toys. The display system includes a display stand with an aperture. An anchor member is mounted to the display stand and has an aperture bounded by at least one flange. A supporting member is further included and adapted to support a toy. The supporting member has a protrusion adapted to pass through the apertures in the display stand and the anchor member to engage selectively with the anchor member. In some embodiments, the supporting member has arcuate extensions that support the toy.

Abstract: A hanger rack for hand tools includes a bar having a rail formed at an upper side of the bar. Multiple fixture pieces are movably mounted on the bar. Each fixture piece has a seat with a hook slidably attached to the rail and a hanging member laterally extending from the seat for attaching with a hand tool. Whereby, the fixture pieces are slidable along the bar, spaces between two adjacent fixture pieces can be adjusted according to the sizes of the hand tools such as screwdrivers.

The inventive multipacks provide for, for example, a simplified method for the transdermal administration of therapeutic agents such as hormones to a patient in need thereof.

Abstract: A package for a product includes a base plate on which the product is disposed, and a bridge disposed on the base plate in overlying relationship to a first portion of the product. A lid is disposed in overlying relationship to a second portion of the product and is secured to the base plate by a sliding connection which guides the lid for limited sliding movement parallel to the base plate to expose the second portion of the product. The sliding connection constrains the lid against dislodgment from the base plate in a direction perpendicular to the base plate. An intermediate plate is disposed between the base plate and the lid and is arranged to prevent the sliding movement of the lid. The intermediate plate is formed of a tearable material, such as cardboard, wherein tearing of the intermediate plate releases the lid for the sliding movement.

The hand-tool bag comprises a hand-held body, and two tool boxes, wherein the hand-held body includes an external layer, two inner board, two positioning board and an inner layer, characterized in that at least two adjacent ends of the positioning board are mounted with a corner member having mounted with an elastic top plate thereon and the top edge of the elastic top plate being a protrusion; and the two tool boxes are substantially rectangular with a plurality of slots within the center of the box to accommodate tools, one lateral edge of the tool box is provided with a notch corresponding to the protrusion on the top edge of the elastic top plate so that the protrusion is engaged with the notch; thereby the tool boxes containing tools within the slots of the tool boxes are engaged to the corner member and the two tool boxes are mounted to the hand-held body, facilitate the carrying of tool.

Abstract: A reclosable blister container in which a backing card is slidably and removably retained in the blister without requiring staples or adhesives. The blister includes elongated grooves on opposite sides thereof that slidingly receive the backing card. The blister includes a step that is preferably curved, which facilitates slidable entry of the backing card into the blister. Protrusions may be formed in the blister that extend into corresponding openings in the backing card in order to further retain the backing card within the blister. The present invention provides a more attractive and more economical alternative to prior art “flange-folded” products.

Abstract: Blisters of the skin are treated by applying to the skin over the blister a flexible moisture-containing hydrophilic hydrogel patch that includes a backing support such as paper, cloth or plastic and a water-based hydrogel layer applied to the backing. The hydrogel layer comprises a hydrophilic natural or synthetic polymer to provide body dispersed in water and can be a tacky adhesive. The polymer can comprise any high molecular weight hydrophilic carbohydrate such as karaya, cornstarch, or a kelp gel and/or a synthetic hydrophilic polymer such as polyacrylamide or polyacrylic acid. A humectant such as a polyhydric alcohol, keeps the gel layer moist. A solute such as salt, protein, sugar or an alcohol is dissolved in the water in a quantity sufficient to raise the osmotic pressure enough to maintain the hydrogel layer in a hypertonic state with respect to the blister.

Abstract: A display card retains a flashlight thereon, wherein the flashlight has a body comprising two body halves, each body half defining a portion of an interior cavity and are matingly abutted one to the other. The mated halves further define at least two slots therein. The display card comprises a semi-rigid card defining a cutout that receives at least a portion of the flashlight. At least two tabs extend into the cutout, and each of the tabs is received in a different one of the slots. The tabs extend into the interior cavity of the flashlight in a manner to suspendingly retain the flashlight in the cutout for display.

Abstract: A tool display rack includes a board having a slot and two apertures defined therethrough. A U-shaped retaining member including a bridge member and two insertions is connected to the board by engaging the two insertions with the two apertures of the board so that a tool can be retained by the U-shaped retaining member. The bridge member has two grooves defined therein so that the bridge member can be cut at the two grooves into two parts to allow the tool to be disengaged from the two parts. Each aperture is enclosed by a wall member which extends from the board. Each insertion has a hole which is engaged with a ridge extending from each wall member.

Abstract: A plastic blister package for display and storage of a toothbrush has a base member and a closure member connected to one another by an integrally molded hinge. The base member and closure member have a pair of flanges, one overlying the other with package in the closed position, and a lip is provided on flange edge of the base member for receiving the edge of the closure member to seal the cavity formed by the two members. A pair of protuberances extend from the base flange and are received in interfitting engagement with a pair of openings found in the closure flange to substantially lock the package in the closed position.

Abstract: The present invention provides a clam shell packaging arrangement having a base 12 which defines a receiving area 23. A cover 14 is further provided which engages in a sealing snap fit arrangement with the base 12. The base 12 and the cover 14 are connected by an integral living hinge 16 which includes a first hinge element 18 connected to the base 12 and a second hinge element 20 connected to the cover 14. The bottom wall of the base 12 defines a plurality of upwardly extending integral plastic bubbles 57. The cover 14 defines a plurality of cooperating downwardly extending integral plastic bubbles 59. The bubbles 57, 59 are resilient enough to cradle a product and flexible enough to secure the product in its position.

Abstract: A fan blade display package includes a first and second overlying transparent shells. Each shell has a major dimension and a minor dimension. A recess is formed in each shell for receiving and conforming to at least a first fan blade. The recesses are disposed in offset relation relative to at least one of the dimensions, so that portions of fan blades in each recess are exposed and may be visually perceived through each of the shells.

Abstract: An apparatus to extend printed circuit board length allows for secure mounting of the printed circuit boards. More particularly, the extender bracket apparatus (30) is for stabilizing small or short, commercial off the shelf (COTS) circuit boards (20) for personal computers (PC). The apparatus will aid in operation of small circuit boards for rugged applications such as high vibration conditions in vehicles. The extender bracket apparatus (30) is first fastened to an adjustable clamp (60), which is then fastened to a COTS circuit board. The adjustable clamp has holes that facilitate attaching to slots in the extender bracket apparatus. The clamp and extender board may have a dielectric surface to prevent electrical conduction. The dielectric can be an adhesive to hold the printed circuit board. The apparatus can then be fastened to a computer chassis (40) for rigidly mounting the circuit board.
