Abstract: The invention relates to a carrier for empty beverage cans, particularly those that are returnable and recyclable. The carrier includes an elongated support member and a plurality of spaced apart hook members extending laterally therefrom, each hook member being adapted to enter the pour opening of an empty can and to engage the underside of the top plate of the can to suspend the can therefrom. By using the carrier, people returning cans have a convenient way of carrying the cans and the people receiving the cans are able to easily count the cans. The support members could also be used to carry suitable advertising if desired.

Abstract: A standard cassette display and storage holder consisting of a rigid back panel with a cassette holding area and a separate larger graphics area. The panel has a flange that carries cassette identification information and it also seals the open part of the cassette.

Abstract: An autoclave tray for sterilization of surgical components and equipment includes slotted, polysulfone holders each having a base portion, a body portion and a connecting portion wherein the connecting portion is narrower than both the base portion and the body portion, the body portion being designed to receive and hold at least one surgical component, a tray arranged with oblong slots for receiving and holding one or more synthetic holders wherein the oblong slots include a narrow channel portion and an enlarged keyhole portion. The holders may be positioned in the oblong slots by passing the leading edge of the base portion through the enlarged keyhole portion of the slot and sliding the connecting portion along and within the narrow channel portion. The tray further includes a plurality of steam holes disposed about the surface of the tray.

Abstract: Packaging for fresh fruit characterized as having a lower surface forming an upward, re-entrant recess, the packaging comprising(a) upper and lower container sections to receive the fruit,(b) first locating structure on one of the container sections to project into that recess, thereby to position the fruit, limiting its sideward movement relative to the container,(c) that one section having a wall engageable with another and like container during stacking of the containers, and that one section having a wall portion dished toward the interior of the container, that dished portion carrying said locating structure for flexing when the locating structure engages the fresh fruit.

Abstract: A container for coated fruit having top and bottom walls connected to coacting side and end walls defining an enclosure for an individual fruit. The top and bottom walls each having inwardly projecting protrusions molded therein and surrounded by break-out lines. The protrusions sized to project into the natural recesses in the ends of the fruit and when detached by breaking the break-out lines, leaving the protrusions for gripping the fruit.

Abstract: This invention relates to a video cassette storage container capable of securely accomodating both VHS and Beta video cassettes. The container comprises an enclosure having top, bottom, and side wall panels. The bottom panel includes a pair of upstanding, Y-shape posts, each adapted to engage the internal spline teeth in the reel hubs of a video cassette. The Y-shape posts are positioned upon the bottom panel such that when a video cassette is inserted into the enclosure, the posts guide the cassette into position within the enclosure and create an interference fit with the internal spline teeth of the reel hubs. The posts fixedly secure the cassette within the enclosure and inhibit the inadvertent rotation of the reels. Preferably, in addition to the Y-shape posts, the enclosure includes means to securely lock the enclosure in the closed position.

Abstract: A storage display tray for selectively retaining either or both a relatively small or relatively large rectangular in cross-section object. The tray is particularly suited for use in connection with tape cassettes having pinch roller openings along a longitudinal edge thereof and the relatively larger containers, such as boxes, for the cassettes so that either a cassette alone, or a boxed cassette may be selectively retained. The tray is formed of a plurality of elongate compartments defined by a longitudinally extending partition flange between each adjacent compartment. A laterally extending wall is provided spaced apart more than the length of a relatively larger object such as a boxed cassette. A bottom wall extends between the longitudinally and laterally extending walls and an engaging element is formed on the bottom wall to frictionally engage in the cassette pinch roller openings to grip the unboxed cassette.

Abstract: A rack for storing food mixer attachments comprising a housing adapted to be connected to the underside of a kitchen cabinet and having a plurality of cylindrical posts extending downwardly therefrom. A cylindrical pin is attached to the post intermediate the ends thereof. An annular washer is disposed around the post and is located between the pin and the housing. A helical compression spring is disposed around the post and has one end thereof in abutment with the housing and the other end thereof in abutment with the annular washer for biasing the annular washer toward the pin. Attachements to food mixers of a certain type can then be placed on the posts and locked on by the pin, such attachments being of a type having a circular opening in one end thereof with a slot going down one side of the circular opening and leading to one side of a second slot which is formed in an arc around the axis of the circular opening. The other end of the second slot has a notch therein.

Abstract: A stack of interlocked detachable bags, preferably formed from a thermoplastic foil strip, and each comprising two walls, a front wall and a back wall, preferably at least one handle-shaped incision positioned on one of said walls adjacent an upper filling opening, wherein the individual bags each have an interlock piece and are attached together with the aid of at least one interlock means engaging their interlock pieces, and by means of a row of perforations forming an edge of the interlock piece the individual bags are detachable from the interlocked stack by tearing off. On one of the walls of each bag adjacent an upper filling opening edge of that bag a reinforcing piece, preferably of plastic foil, with the interlock piece is attached so that the interlock piece protrudes above the filling opening edge. Advantageously the inside of the back wall is provided with the protruding interlock and reinforcing pieces.

Abstract: A display container for displaying a product such as jewelry and watches. The container includes a transparent cylindrical tube and two spherical sponge rubber end caps mountable at least partially inside the ends of the tube. A strap extends through the top end cap and has a loop on the outer side thereof so that the container can be hung from a stand or other support. A hook is mounted to the inside end of the top cap, preferably to the inner end of the strap, onto which the product is hung.

Abstract: A wood-form splice stake includes an elongated stake member having a lower end adapted to be driven into the ground. A pair of flat flanges extend laterally outwardly in opposite directions from the upper end of the stake member for securement to respective adjacent ends of aligned concrete form boards for maintaining them in alignment and securing them against relative vertical movement. The stakes are preferably formed so as to be stackable in nested relation. A stake carrier includes an elongated base having an upstanding post insertable through aligned pull holes in the stacked stake members. The other ends of the stake members are confined between upstanding legs on the base plate to prevent pivotal movement about the post. A lock device is operatively associated with the post for releasably locking the stakes against removal from the post.Metal-to-wood form adapters are provided for aligning and supporting wood form boards relative to conventional metal forms.

Abstract: A gaging and storage rack for wrench sockets consisting of a base and a plurality of posts projecting upwardly therefrom. Each post is composed of two sections: a lower section adapted to receive a particular size of socket, and an upper section of uniform size adapted to receive and project above the drive hole in the socket. Associated with each post is a marking of the dimension or size of the socket which the lower section is adapted to receive.

Abstract: A display package and display product which is firmly secured together while allowing a substantial portion of the display product to be viewed. The invention further relates to a display package which uses a fastener means to secure the display product to the display package and the method of assembling the disclosed combination.

Abstract: A machine and method for continuously orienting and tapping fasteners such as pierce nuts with the nuts being advanced in face-to-face manner aligned on the machine feed path. The machine is operable in one mode, in combination with nut collection means, to receive strips of the nuts from the feed path in side-to-side array for delivery in installation-ready coiled strips to an installation assembly or the like. One embodiment of the collection means includes apparatus for collecting and dispensing the nuts in unconnected linear stacks. Tapping of the nuts is performed by the machine in a "reverse flow" or deferred manner just prior to the nuts being dispensed from the feed path with the tapped nuts maintained in face-to-face spaced array. The machine reverse flow tapping provides for burr clearance between the spaced nuts to thereby assure that tapping burrs will not improperly position the nuts obviating machine jamming and thread obstruction by such burrs.

Abstract: A holder for an accordion type hose for connecting a recreational vehicle plumbing system to a central sewage processing system having an elongated cylindrical core, a fixed circular disk concentrically attached to one end thereof, a removable circular disk selectively attachable to the other end thereof, and a handle attached to the fixed disk end thereof. An accordion type hose is collapsed and the core inserted therethrough. The removal disk is attached such that the hose is captivated between the two disks.

Abstract: A packaging container (1) for a tape reel device, e.g. a tape cassette, which has one or more reel-locking elements (9, 10) possesses on at least one of these elements (9, 10) a friction element (14), e.g. of rubber, for holding and, if necessary, clamping the reel of the tape reel device. The element (14) can be annular, rib-shaped or knob-shaped, and can be used for any type of tape reel, inside or outside audio, video or film cassettes.

The storage case is composed of a box-shaped body receiving the tape cassette and a cover for a opening and closing the box-shaped body, wherein the body is provided with engaging parts on an inner surface of the bottom thereof shaped so as to engage with corresponding reel hub holes of the magnetic tape cassette. Each of the engaging parts includes a rotation preventing structure in the form of a discontinuous ring composed of a plurality of protrusions extending from the inner surface of the bottom of the case body inwardly of the case, and a positioning structure arranged inside the rotation preventing structure composed of at least one protrusion extending from the inner surface of the bottom the case body inwardly of the case.

Abstract: A guard ring for long distance transmission cables for preventing wet snow from accumulating on the cables. The guard ring consists of two half collars of a hard elastic plastic material integrally joined by a hinge strap at one end and having interlocking hooks at their free ends to form a closed ring that tightly encloses the cable. Beaks or the like are integral with the inner ends of the half collars and face each other in the area of the hinge. The beaks cover a part of the hinge strap from both sides, so that when the half collars are open, they form, together with the hinge strap, a T-shaped groove for conveniently holding the rings in a row, prior to assembly, on a corresponding T-shaped rail. When the half-collars are closed and the ring secured to the cable, the beaks are bent apart a sufficient distance so that the rings can easily be removed from the rail. An assembly tool is also provided for clamping the rings about the cable.

Abstract: A holder for a plurality of sheet items adapted for being selectively mounted in a multiplicity of modes such as in a channel at the edge of the shelf, on a flat backing board, on a rod, on a riser card having holes therein or on a hook. The holder comprises a flat sheet of flexible material including a pivotable flap which initially is in the plane of the sheet and is capable of being resiliently bent out of the plane of the sheet such that its lower edge can act in combination with the upper edge of the sheet of the material to engage flanges of a U-shaped channel at the edge of a shelf to hold the sheet of material in flexed condition in the channel. A bendable prong is formed in the sheet and is bendable to a position projecting from the sheet for supporting a plurality of sheet items in front of the plane of the sheet at a level below the channel for removal one by one. The sheet includes an adhesive strip for attaching the sheet to a flat backing board.

Abstract: In a magnetic-tape cassette having adjacent flanged reels mounted for rotation in a housing, coupling members connect the reels to the winding mandrels on a cassette apparatus. Each member has an axial portion extending through the housing for engagement by a spring which presses the reel against an apparatus reel disc, and radially resilient limbs extending in the opposite direction for engaging the mandrel.

Abstract: A carpet sample system that provides a specification card useable alone, or in conjunction with a carpet sample, and a handle that can be used with a single carpet type or a large bundle. For knowledgeable customers, the specification card alone will provide a swatch of carpet and technical data, the cards being storable on a shelf. To display one type of carpet, a folded member will hold the card and carpet sample between the loose edges; and, a handle is provided at the opposite edge. To display several types of carpet, the folded member provides the same handle, while specification cards and carpet samples are held on each side of the handle. An index card can be provided, with a swatch of each type of carpet and appropriate legends. A backing sheet and compression block can make the large package more attractive.

Abstract: Aligned sets of clips with elongated openings are received on pairs of spaced substantially parallel elements extending from a base. Each of the clip receiving elements has removably mounted thereto a member which serves to prevent rotation of the clips during mounting. The clips are encircled by a band which passes through opposing indentations in the base. After banding, the rotation preventing members are removed by breaking the connecting parts which mount same to the clip receiving elements.

Abstract: A case having at least one row and a plurality of tandem compartments for interchangeably receiving and storing either a single boxed cassette or two unboxed cassettes in any compartment. The case has opposite side walls connected by means of a bottom wall, with the compartments disposed parallel and transverse to the opposite side walls; each compartment comprising a pair of projections separating and dividing the said compartment into storage zones on both sides of said projections. The opposite side walls define pairs of vertical ribs for guiding and securely retaining a single boxed cassette in place atop said projections, and further define vertical end stops adjacent said ribs for limiting transverse movement of unboxed cassettes stored and securely retained between said projections and opposite guides projecting inwardly from said side walls.

Abstract: A surgical instrument organizer for receiving a plurality of stacked instruments of the hinged type and for holding the instruments open, is characterized by a base, a pair of finger ring posts extending upwardly from the base for extension through respective finger rings of the instruments, a shaft separator extending upwardly from the base and between the shafts of the instruments and a tip separator also extending upwardly from the base and between jaws of the instrument. Upper ends of the finger ring posts and shaft separator may be fastened together to retain the instruments on the organizer and maintain the instruments, along with the tip separator, in an open condition. The organizer advantageously supports the instruments during sterilization thereof, with complete sterilization being assured since the instruments are held open, and a forward end and sides of the base extend outwardly of the instrument tips to protect the same against contact and damage.

Abstract: A storage case for a magnetic-tape cassette with a front opening which is covered at the front by a cover pivotally connected to the cassette housing. The case includes at least one positioning element which extends into the front opening of the cassette and is arranged on a bottom surface of a base section near the case rear wall, for positioning the cassette. The distance at the case base between the front side of the positioning element, remote from the rear wall, to the inner side of the rear wall is greater than the distance from the wall portion of the cassette housing adjoining the positioning element to the front side of the cassette front cover. Movement of the cassette inside the case towards the rear wall is thus limited by abutment of the cassette wall portion with the positioning element, so that the front cover remains clear of the case rear wall.

Abstract: A construction is disclosed for holding a bag-shaped or sheet-shaped continuous plastic film. In this holding construction, the plastic film is folded in a Z-shaped manner such that linear cuts formed in the continuous plastic film are accurately superposed on one another, and at least portions of insert members are inserted into the plastic film or the insert members are entirely inserted through the plastic film, so as to retain the plastics film in a bundled state. If one end portion of the film is drawn out, then a section of a predetermined length of the film is torn off along the linear cut or cuts by means of the insert members, and, when the section of the film is torn off, an end portion of the succeeding, i.e.

Abstract: A printer thimble element storage case is disclosed having a front cover hingeably connected through a spine to a back cover. The inside of the back cover has attached thereto an element tray including a top surface spaced away from the inner surface of the cover and having a plurality of wells formed therein matable about the printer thimble elements. A spindle concentrically mounted in the bottom surface of each well securely retains the thimble elements. A top surface of the element tray is of generally rectangular configuration and slopes away from the edge thereof downwardly and toward the inner surface of the back cover, terminating in a mating surface and a stop ledge. The front cover includes, on an inner surface thereof a tray cover including a wall having an engagement edge formed thereon for receipt of the element tray.

Abstract: The wrench holder comprises a pair of elongated, plastic members that slide or telescope together. Each of the members includes a body and a pair of bifurcated legs extending therefrom. The members pass through openings in a set of wrenches and telescope or slide together. Heads respectively at the ends of the elongated members retain the wrenches therebetween. A latching element at the distal ends of the legs and another latching element on the body in the region of the head enable the two members to be releasably interconnected.

Abstract: The pack consists of a single card having an aperture therein shaped and dimensioned to receive and support the heads of a stack of disposable razors. The handle of each razor contains a slot and the assembled handles are secured to the card by a tongue which extends through the slots in the razor handles and is secured at its opposite ends to the card. In a modification, the slots are formed in the ends of the razor handles and a part of the card extends into each of the slots.

Abstract: A casing for receiving a cassette is including a casing body for receiving a tape cassette, the casing body having a rectangular opening, a lid member attached to the minor side of the opening and capable of being opened and closed, and a pair of engaging members provided to the lid and arranged at the same plane as the opening and closing direction of the lid and for regulating the position of reel hubs which are rotatably mounted to the cassette. The engaging member has a slanted portion provided at the opposite position of the tip thereof and for making the central axis of the reel hub eccentric, and a notched portion provided at the opposite position to the slanted portion and for preventing engagement to projections which are formed at the inner peripheral surface of the reel hub.

Abstract: The clips are received on spaced elements extending in parallel relation from opposite ends of a base such that sets of two side-by-side clips are situated in parallel planes. Spaced clip retaining elements extend in parallel relation from the intermediate portion of the base. The clips in each set are received between the clip retaining elements to prevent rotation thereof. A removable member is provided for preventing the displacement of the clips until use.

Abstract: An assembly for holding a socket driver, an extension, or a spinner includes an L-shaped bracket member which has means thereon for engaging either the head or the shank portion of the tool. The assembly also includes a slide locking member that is engaged with a support wall of the bracket, to trap another portion of the tool (the shank or a section of the handle) and thereby retain the tool in the assembly. The package is adapted for point of sale display to present the article to the customer in an attractive manner, while protecting it against physical damage and pilferage; the slide locking member is capable of removal without damage to the assembly, thereby permitting reuse for storage of the tool part by the purchaser.

Abstract: A case having at least one row and a plurality of tandem compartments for interchangeably receiving and storing either a single boxed cassette or two unboxed cassettes in any compartment. The case has opposite side walls connected by means of a bottom wall, with the compartments disposed parallel and transverse to the opposite side walls; each compartment comprising a pair of projections separating and dividing the said compartment into storage zones on both sides of said projections. The opposite side walls define pairs of vertical ribs for guiding and securely retaining a single boxed cassette in place atop said projections, and further define vertical end stops adjacent said ribs for limiting transverse movement of unboxed cassettes stored and securely retained between said projections and opposite guides projecting inwardly from said side walls.

Abstract: A storage case for a cassette such as video tape cassette includes a base having a bottom, a rear wall and a pair of side walls, and a cover pivotably mounted on the base and having a top, a front wall and a pair of side walls. The cover is angularly movable with respect to the base between open and closed positions. A cylindrical projection is mounted on the bottom and located more closely to one of the side walls of the base than to the other for being inserted into a hole in a supply reel of the cassette when the latter is placed in the storage case. The cylindrical projection has a plurality of locking fins which can be fitted in grooves in an inner wall defining the hole in the supply reel of the cassette. Accordingly, the supply reel is locked by the cylindrical projection and its locking fins against accidental rotation and hence loosening of a magnetic tape wound around the supply tape.

Abstract: A universal storage container for video cassettes is provided. The container includes substantially rectangular top and bottom walls which are hingedly connected to opposed edges of a rectangular rear wall. Front and opposed side walls extend from the top wall so as to define a substantially U-shaped enclosure. Rotation of the top wall about the rear wall and rotation of the rear wall about the bottom wall forms a hollow enclosure for the cassette. A pair of mounting posts are disposed on the bottom wall and are positioned such that they may be accepted into the central mounting holes of the Beta cassette when the reels of the Beta cassette are biased away from one another. Similarly, the mounting posts may be accepted into the central mounting holes of the VHS cassette when the reels of the VHS cassette are biased toward one another.

Abstract: There is disclosed a security seal apparatus for securing information recorded on a recording medium such as a floppy disc or recording tape which incorporates an aperture therein. The security seal apparatus includes a circular rigid pad projecting beyond the edges of such aperture and formed centrally with a post for projecting through such aperture. The post is formed on its free extremity with an enlarged-in-diameter conical lock head having its base of a cross-section less than the cross-section of the aperture. A fastener plate is provided with a central opening having a diameter slightly less than the base of such conical lock head so that such fastener plate may be pressed onto such lock head causing the base of the conical lock to be compressed radially inwardly whereby the lock will pass through such opening and expand radially outwardly to overlie the peripheral edges of such opening and lock the fastener in position.

Abstract: A multiple package has a top planar layer, a bottom layer, and an intermediate layer suitably bonded together to form an integral laminated structure. The intermediate layer has a plurality of projections extending through respective openings in the top layer. Articles of manufacture, such as wrench sockets, are slidably mounted over the respective projections and are retained thereon. The top and bottom layers of the multiple package are scored, both longitudinally and transversely, intermediately of the projections and to a sufficient depth, to enable an individual package to be cleanly broken off the multiple package.

Abstract: A hanging display pack comprises a packing plate or lamina on which an article having a hole is mounted. The lamina has a hole disposed in respect of size and position for coaction with the article's hole. A locking body similar to the male part of a press stud is adapted for insertion through the holes of the lamina and article to lock them to each other and has therefore a projection at one end for preventing the body from being pushed through the lamina, and at its opposing insertion end it has snap teeth resiliently adapted for snapping out after they have been inserted through the hole in the article. The body is made from elastic material and has a substantially cylindrical form with a hemispherical top and is open at its base. At its top it has one or more through slits which are disposed on or parallel to a line between two mutually opposing areas occupied by the snap teeth.

Abstract: A display tray for ring jewelry wherein a plurality of parallel bars each having normally extending ring posts are selectively positionable to enable captive retention of rings placed on the ring posts as the free post ends are locked in abutment to a next adjacent bar.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for retail display of a cassette in a box and for storage of a cassette at home or in an automobile using a flat plastic holder having a window and four protrusions into the window. These protrusions fit into holes in the box. A pair of protrusions on one side, which are longer than on the other side, are inserted into matching holes in the box. As the other side is then moved into the window, the other (shorter) pair of protrusions snap into the remaining holes in the box. The holder has an extension at one end with a hole for receiving a rod of a display rack. For storage, the holder slides into slots on the inside of a case. The extension then seves as a tab for lifting the holder out of the case.

Abstract: A hang hole device for display of a multiple hinged package which comprises a flat sheet cut at its forward edges to fit within the confined contour of the inner side walls and front wall of the package with the rear edge cut to form a projecting tab whose width is the distance between adjacent hinges and which flat sheet is provided with a hole adjacent the rear edge to mount the inserted sheet and container on a spike in a display stand. The thickness of the flat cut hang hole sheet is such that it gives suitable strength and stability for hanging display yet is not too thick so as to damage the hinges. The flat sheet may be transparent or opaque and may be composed of plastic, paper or cardboard.

Abstract: A cover for a box comprising a base and a pivotal lid, e.g. a box for a tape cassette, comprises a base panel for overlying the base of the box, a cover panel for overlying the cover of the box and connected to the base panel by a spine panel for overlying a side wall of the box. The cover is made from sheet material, e.g. cardboard, and each of the cover and base panels comprises two thicknesses of sheet material with the inner layers of the cover panel connected only along an edge to the other layer. The spine panel may also be made of two thicknesses of sheet material, the inner layer being connected to the inner layer of the cover panel and free to move relative to the outer layer of the spine panel in flexing the cover. Alternatively the inner layer of the cover panel may be shaped to be inserted into the box to underly the lid of the box.
