  • Patent number: 5261583
Abstract: A holster (100) for receiving a pager (220) having an protrusion (225) comprises a housing (105) having an interior surface (205) and an exterior surface (210), the interior surface (205) forming a cavity (215) for receiving the pager (220). A flexible arm (110) is affixed to the housing (105) and moves between a first position wherein the flexible arm (110) engages the pager protrusion (225) when the pager (220) is within the cavity (215) and a second position wherein the flexible arm (110) is deflected by the pager protrusion (225) as the pager (220) is inserted into or removed from the cavity (215). A belt clip (230) mounted to the housing (105) secures the holster (100) to an article. The belt clip (230) selectably contacts the flexible arm (110) and exerts a pressure thereto which increases the force needed to deflect the flexible arm (110) when the pager ( 220) is inserted into or removed from the cavity (215).

Abstract: A bag pack and a holder comprises a layered stack of flexible thermo-plastic bags having a folded over stiff header with oppositely projecting ears at its ends. The ears enter beneath flaps at opposite ends of a holder when bent rearwardly and inwardly. A central flap on the holder retains the header against forward pivotal movement as might dislodge the ears and the individual bags have exposed top openings when so arranged for successive removal from the pack. A second embodiment includes flaps on a holder entered between front and rear portions of a header for retention of the bag pack.

  • Patent number: 5251750
Abstract: A compact disc tray incorporates a flat planar surface approximating the size of a compact disc for nesting a compact disc. A central rosette molded to the flat planar surface engages the inner center hole of the CD. The rosette has engagement arms molded to and extending upward from the tray for engaging the center hole, and further extending radially inward towards a molded connection with a center button. The molded connection between the center button and inner ends of the engagement arms provides a living hinge and may be accomplished through reduced thickness in the molded material. Pushing of the center button imparts a downward motion on the inner ends of the engagement arms, which thereby angles the upwardly extending portions of the engagement arms away from the engagement with the center hole of the CD. This releases the CD from the rosette.

  • Patent number: 5211284
Abstract: A jewelry chain holder includes two tube-like structures joined together by a common partition wall in a side-by-side disposition, each tube defining a channel-like cavity and a longitudinal slit running the full tube length and preferably located on a portion of the tube somewhat opposite from the partition wall. The length of each tube approximates half the total chain length, and the cross-section of each cavity is sufficiently large to contain a cross-section of the chain within. Preferably the tube-like structures are transparent and made of a slightly resilient material that permits a user to force approximately half the chain length into each cavity through the longitudinal slit. The result is that substantially the entire chain is maintained in a stretched out disposition within the two cavities, the partition wall separating the two chain halves. So held, the chain is visible from 360.degree. and is protected by the exterior of the tube-like structures from dust, scratching and other damage.

The carrier includes an elongated planar body with a plurality of spaced apart hooks where each hook has an elongated generally trapezoidal central section having converging side edges; a pair of elongated generally rectangular flap members; each attached to a respective side edge of the central section along a fold line; and a slit extending along each of the fold lines over a short distance from the inner end edge of the adjacent flap members. Each hook enters the opening of an empty can to engage the underside of the top plate of the can to suspend the can therefrom. By using the carrier, people returning cans have a convenient way of carrying the cans and the people receiving the cans are able to easily count the cans.

  • Patent number: 4928825
Abstract: A container for storing a tape cassette of the type having a pair of spaced tape reel hubs. Each hub has a cylindrical sidewall which defines a recess in the hub. The storage container includes enclosure means for receiving and enclosing a cassette in the container. Diametrically opposed pairs of fingers are molded integrally with a bottom wall of the container and project into the hub recesses through an aligned access opening formed in a bottom wall of the tape cassette upon placing the cassette into the container. The fingers are formed with a concave inner edge, and a convex outer edge having an elongated straight portion and an undercut formed thereon adjacent to the container bottom wall. The convex outer edge of the fingers are engaged by the hub sidewall, whereby the combination of the undercut and curved inner edge enables the fingers to flex inwardly upon initial placement of a cassette into the storage container.

  • Patent number: 4901856
Abstract: Described is a supporting hub for an internal slide, which accepts a spooled recording medium, where one side of the supporting hub lies against a ring-shaped supporting surface on the outside of the internal slide, where a reel hub carrying the recording medium or a flange spool can be pushed onto the other cylindrical side of the supporting hub and where the internal slide can be slid into a protective casing. The ring diameter of the supporting surface of the supporting hub lying against the inner side of the internal slide is here the same size or greater than the ring diameter of the supporting surface of the supporting hub lying against the outside of the internal slide. In a preferred embodiment, the supporting hub is in two parts which are detachable from the inside or the outside of the internal slide, and grasp one another.

  • Patent number: 4892194
Abstract: A display package for a cosmetic case having a base containing a cosmetic product and a cover pivotally joined to the base includes a support backing, a pre-formed blister mounted on the backing, and a tongue or strip extending from the blister for securing the case to the support backing. The blister has a main blister portion which is raised from the backing, and an edge flange joined to the main blister portion and secured to the backing. The main blister portion has an open side and defines a pocket for receiving the base of the cosmetic case. The tongue extends through a clearance between the cover and base and has an end portion secured to the backing. The tongue prevents removal of the cosmetic case from the pre-formed blister through its open side. A single strip of flexible, transparent material may be used to form the main blister portion, tongue, and a pair of opposing edge flanges.
