Abstract: Rigid lid systems for wide mouthed containers for comestibles such as margarine and the like, which are adapted for stacking in shipping containers without interlayer sheets.

Abstract: Stackable storage containers especially useful for storing foodstuffs and the like. The underside of each container has one or more end panels each presenting a beveled surface relative to the container bottom. The closure for the container includes a like number of angled ramp surfaces facing upwardly from the closure, to receive the beveled end surfaces on the underside of a like container stacked on the closure.

Abstract: A foolproof sanitary pour type of end cap is provided for a container or can that may be used for providing and dispensing powdered or granular items, such as foods, vitamin and medicine capsules or liquids, such as carbonated soft drinks. The cap body provides an initial completely hermetically sealed cover for the container after the goods have been placed therein for shipment, storage and sale. The sealed relation is such that the inside of the container and its contents cannot be exposed without tearing-off a membrane closure portion across a centrally disposed, inset pouring spout or collar. When the contents are to be first used, a swingable closure lid is opened and the membrane is removed by a pull tab. However, the remaining contents can be then closed-off by the swingable lid which has means for maintaining the contents in a sealed-off relation from the ambient atmosphere and has latching means for flexibly retaining it in closed position until an additional quantity of the contents is to be used.

Abstract: The food carrier assembly comprises a container for holding a food product with a structure for grasping the container to support the container while transporting the assembly. A handle mechanism is disposed on the grasping section for carrying the container as a compact carrier assembly for the good product. A specific feature of the invention has the container shaped as a pan to receive a plurality of cupcakes. A lid portion on the container has a structural configuration for stacking a second container on top of the lid portion to provide an upper and lower container. The handle structure includes a hand gripping portion with coupling members located at each end thereof for attaching to the grasping configuration on a plurality of stacked containers.

Abstract: A lightweight, inexpensive, attractive container suitable for shipping, storing and displaying goods is disclosed in which a cover made of card stock, heavy paper or lightweight cardboard is pivotally attached at one end to a dish-like container preferably made of polycarbonate or polyvinylchloride. The body of the cover may be raised and lowered to open and close the container. One or more strut members are movably attached to the cover and are positioned on the cover with at least one end adjacent to a shoulder on the upper part of the container wall. This arrangement provides increased strength. When the cover is raised, the struts are moved into engaging relationship with respect to a slot provided in a container wall to support the cover in a raised displaying orientation. The cover preferably has product information printed thereon regarding the container's content.

Abstract: In a plastic molded tote box having one lid or opposed lids that will shingle with other lids in the open position when the box and like boxes are nested, the maximum horizontal dimension for the shingled lids, as measured outwardly from the adjacent box side wall (lid flare), is reduced by tapering the lid rib structure toward the hinge, and/or by tapering the outboard lid skirt toward the hinge, and/or by flaring one or more lid flanges, particularly the inboard flange. The latter two structural features permit increased nesting of the lid side skirts or channels, which in the closed position of the lid overlie the box side walls.

Abstract: A nestable, open-top container has a cover formed of two separate, co-planar pieces, each covering one-half of the open top. Each cover piece is hingedly connected to one side of the upper edge of the container and extends toward and overlaps the opposite side, that is, the side to which the other cover piece is hinged. The cover pieces' adjacent edges engage each other and their remote edges overlap and are supported upon their adjacent container upper edge portions. Each cover piece may be slid sidewise upon its hinge so that it can be spaced from the container upper edge portion which it otherwise overlaps wherein it can be swung either inside or outside of the container. When the cover pieces are arranged in co-planar covering positions, a number of boxes can be stacked, and when they are swung outwardly or inwardly of the container, the boxes may be nested.

Abstract: A drawn and ironed container having a reduced neck around an upper open end has a bottom profile which exhibits excellent strength characteristics and nests with an end double-seamed to the open end of the container. The bottom profile includes a center spherical dome surrounded by a U-shaped annular portion defining a lower support surface for the container. A joining segment is integral with the container side wall and the U-shaped annular portion includes a first annular arcuate portion having an exterior radius and a second annular arcuate portion having an interior radius.

Abstract: An enclosed pipette tip rack utilizing a container having a bottom and a side portion connected to the bottom which extends upwardly and terminates in a top. A tray is supported by the container and holds at least one pipette tip such that a portion of the pipette tip lies within the container. A cover is also included and is supported by the container adjacent the tray. The container and cover are vented to the ambient environment.

Abstract: A container is formed of a rigid, flat base, a rigid cover, and four vertically arranged, flat wall forming panels that are connected together along their adjacent vertical edges by hinge-like corner connectors and whose upper and lower edges are removably held in corresponding grooves formed in the base and cover. The panels are made of plastic extruded into parallel, spaced apart rigid sheets that are interconnected by numerous, spaced apart, transverse strips whose opposite ends are integral with the sheets. Each corner has a flat, sheet-like base strip that is integrally formed with a flexible center and rigid opposite edge sections that extend along the length of the connector base. Each of the opposite edge sections has an integral T-shaped rib extending along its length. The ribs are inserted endwise into elongated vertical slots formed in the endmost strips of the adjacent panel edges for fastening the connectors to the panels.

Abstract: The invention relates to a container for holding flatware and dishes for use in serving meals on board an aircraft, for example, comprising a rectangular tray-shaped sectioned bottom member hinged to a cover member to form an integral case. To permit dishes holding food, particularly hot meals, to be removed from the closed container and reinserted into it, the container is provided with an opening in a side wall.

Abstract: A bottom profile for a cylindrical two-piece drawn steel can is configured during manufacture so that the resultant bottom profile shape includes areas of highly worked metal positioned to assume processing stresses. A bottom wall bead is included and has a prescribed cross-sectional configuration to provide maximum abuse resistance and to be functionally and operationally interchangeable in the packing and processing line with traditional three-piece containers. Moreover, the prescribed bead configuration works to improve stacking crush resistance by work hardening the metal adjacent the corner between the bottom and wall of the can.

Abstract: Stackable long-term storage container especially for radioactive waste comprises especially convoluted lid and bottom pieces to facilitate stacking. The lid is convoluted providing an annular projection which serves to allow grabbing of the lid and, together therewith, the drum. The floor has a rim which extends axially away from the floor and then is bent over upward toward the drum with drainage openings provided at the bottom edge. A resilient jacket is disposed around the bottom edge and surrounds the rim to prevent direct contact between the drums and scratching during stacking. A fiberglass reinforced plastic insert inside the drum protects the inner wall from damage. The special shape of the drum prevents causes for corrosion under all operating conditions of the drum, especially during very rough handling of the drum during filling, transport and storage.

Abstract: A case for floppy disks and other similarly shaped articles is disclosed. The case has a plurality of dividers having a limited arcuate travel to support the disks at an advantageous viewing angle. The case is also provided with a lid which contacts the base of the case along two different axes and the supporting surface simultaneously to prevent the case from tipping. The case is also provided with a handle for carrying the case in a vertical position. The lid is further provided with ridges to prevent disks or other articles contained between the dividers from sliding out of the dividers when the case is carried in a vertical position.

Abstract: A disposable oil drain pan and container combination features a large sidewall opening which is sealed by a removable screw cap. The oil pan and container combination is intended for use as (a) a container for new motor oil for purchase at a retail establishment, and (b) a disposable drain pan receptacle for use in changing oil in an automobile. The capacity of the container is preferably five quarts so that its contents can be emptied directly into the crankcase of an automobile during an oil change. After the contents have been emptied into the crankcase, the container assembly is set aside until time for the next oil change. At that time, the large screw cap is removed from the side for the container and the container is laid flat beneath the crankcase so that the used oil can drain directly into the container through sidewall opening. After the draining procedure has been completed, the cap is screwed on securely so that the filled container can be discarded.

Abstract: A flexible, plastic lid for sealing containers such as drums and pails having an open top formed with a contoured lip includes a center portion and an annular edge portion extending radially outwardly from the center portion. The annular edge portion comprises an inner curl, an outer curl and an intermediate curl disposed therebetween. The outer curl is formed with a convex inner surface having spaced projections which is adapted to flex and stretch over the contoured lip of the drum so that the inner surface, including the spaced projections, engage the lip to form an effective seal therebetween. A number of locking clips are spaced at regular intervals about the lid and are adapted to snap-fit over the lid and against the lip of the container to enhance the seal therebetween.

Abstract: A closure for a canning glass container with a glass cover and a rubber ring therebetween has an upper rim which is formed in the container and provided with a sealing lip with a wedge having a tip with a radius of curvature between 1 mm and 3 mm, a supporting rim formed in the glass cover and having a circular depression located opposite to the wedge and having a radius of curvature exceeding the radius of curvature of the wedge with the wedge and the circular depression extending over an angle of approximately 110.degree.-70.degree., and a projection formed in the glass cover at its side facing toward the canning glass container and provided with a circular outer edge arranged so that it laterally limits the supporting rim of the canning glass container, centers and holds the rubber ring and centers the glass cover in an inner edge of the canning glass container so that relative displacement of the glass cover and the canning glass container which can hinder closing of the latter, is excluded.

Abstract: A vacuum-formed lid for a large drinks container is disclosed made from extruded sheet plastic. The lid has provision for the user to remove a tear-out portion to leave a hole through which liquid may be poured out of the container. The lid includes a ridge which is gripped between finger and thumb. A slit is located just under the thumb, so that squeezing the ridge is effective to open the slit. The slit runs across the "grain" of the extruded plastic. The effect is that tearing the lid can be easily accomplished, yet the tear may be directed and controlled easily.

Abstract: The adjacent edges for two covers of a tote box have interlocking fingers where separation is resisted by means of hooks on one or more of the covers engaging side flanges of the box to lock the covers in place. The closed covers present a flat surface inset with respect to a plurality of abutments in the vicinity of the sides and ends that prevent side shifting of a like box stacked on top of it. The side abutments have a second function of latching into the end walls to hold the covers in their open position, even when a plurality of like boxes are nested. The latches and locks are unitarily molded into the cover and provided with cam surfaces that together with inherent resiliency of the structure provide for locking and latching by movement of the cover.

Abstract: An ice cream sandwich preparation and storage container set with open top shells having partial bottom walls defining a central aperture. Substantially conforming with the bottom of the shell is an insert disk that effectively seals the aperture while forming a base for the ice cream and cookie sandwich. The bottom periphery of the shell is formed with a flange that fits over the upper rim of another similar container so that the bottom of one container may act as the sealing cover for an underlying container. When it is desired to consume one of the previously prepared and stored sandwiches it may be easily extracted from the container by, after removing the cover, pushing up on the insert disk through the aperture with a thumb or forefinger.

Abstract: A container for handling, transportation and storage of microscope slides includes a plurality of individual microscope slide-receiving compartments. Each compartment includes a plurality of rounded protuberances extending upwardly in each individual compartment for contacting a lower surface of the microscope slide to space the microscope slide upwardly from an inner surface of the compartments and a plurality of rounded protuberances extending downwardly from one or more cover members to restrain vertical slide movement while maintaining longitudinal and lateral spacing of the microscope slides. The container includes one or more plastic cover members having a generally planar surface overlying the plurality of microscope slides when the cover is in a closed position including a plurality of downwardly extending rounded protuberances within each of the slide-receiving compartments for vertical restraint of each microscope slide with minimum contact against the specimen-receiving face of each slide.

Abstract: A lid for a drinking cup includes an annular mounting portion for engaging the lip of the cup, an annular side wall extending upwardly from the mounting portion, and a top wall having a drinking opening formed in it. In the preferred embodiment, the top wall of the lid has a recess formed in it adjacent the drinking opening to accommodate the upper lid of the user.

Abstract: A carrier for substrate and media disk members is disclosed having a base member with upstanding side and end walls and a top surface having a media supporting recess projecting downwardly and including a plurality of continuous semi-circular V-shaped grooves each subtending an angle of less than 180 degrees. Locating means are provided along one side of the carrier for locating the carrier with respect to disk handling equipment. The carrier is provided with a transparent lid having side and end walls respectively telescopically enclosing side and end walls of the base member. The base member has elongate indentations for engaging the top surface of the lid member on which the base member is stacked, and the lid member is provided with elongate upwardly projecting support ridges which contact the underside of the base member stacked thereon.

Abstract: In a wire shipping and dispensing package comprising a wire-carrying spool disposed vertically in a generally rectangular carton having side and end walls extending upwardly from a substantially square bottom section to define a substantially square open top, the lower end portion of the carton is adapted to frictionally fit within the upper end portion of a substantially identical carton disposed therebelow. A pad sheet is removably secured in the open top of the carton in engagement with the rim of an upwardly cupped upper end flange of the spool and provides a seating surface for the bottom section of a substantially identical carton disposed thereabove with its lower end portion fitted into the upper end portion of the lower carton.

Abstract: A non-spill drink-through lid is provided with a retainer support wall defined in a chord position across the central cover portion thereof. The retainer support wall merges with the raised outer peripheral edge of the lid to define a well portion which encompasses a depressible tab portion defined by a slit provided in the central cover portion. The well portion is adapted to retain excess liquid above the slit so as to permit the excess liquid to drain back into the interior of the cup upon which the lid is mounted. Another embodiment of the invention consists of the non-spill drink-through lid having a pair of identical parallel spaced-apart cup support walls defined in the central cover portion of the lid and extending thereacross to merge at the ends thereof with the raised outer peripheral edge of the lid. Thus positioned, the cup support walls are adapted to stackably support another cup positioned thereon.

Abstract: An enclosed pipette tip rack utilizing a container having a bottom and a side portion connected to the bottom which extends upwardly and terminates in a top. A tray is supported by the container and holds at least one pipette tip such that a portion of the pipette tip lies within the container. A cover is also included and is supported by the container adjacent the tray. The container and cover are vented to the ambient environment.

Abstract: A container has a spout that can be attached to a container neck by a locking ring during use. During storage, the spout may be inverted and inserted into the neck with a plug fitted to the locking ring to form a seal across the neck. The spout may be screwed onto or welded to the container neck and a cap at the top of the spout may be threadably engaged thereto or provided by a cut away portion of the spout that can be inverted and used as a cap. The bottom of the container is provided with a push-up for receiving, a neck or spout of another container for stackability.

Abstract: A pileable cup provided with a lid, particularly intended for portioning medicine in solid state, consists of an outer wall conically tapering from an open bottom, the outer wall at an upper edge being folded into an inner wall conically tapering towards the open bottom, which inner wall merges into a closed bottom which is spaced apart from said open bottom inside the outer wall. The lid abuts adhesively but removeably against said upper edge and forms together with the inner wall and the closed bottom a space for the medicine. Inside the upper edge the lid is provided with an underlayer of a non-adhesive material. The lid preferably consists of a layer of white paper provided with an adhesive material and an underpaper which can be silicone-treated. Data of patients and kinds of medicine can easily and quickly be printed or otherwise marked on the lids.

Abstract: A container for produce, fruit, groceries, dairy products, and the like comprising a hollow container of substantially rectangular shape, the container including laterally spaced normally vertical side walls, longitudinally spaced normally vertical end walls connecting the side walls at the respective opposite ends of said container and a bottom wall closing the normally lower end of the container. Means defining a guide channel for a slidable cover member on the upper end of said container is provided. The cover member being slidably positioned in the guide channel. The container is open at the upper end of one of the normally vertical walls to permit movement of the slidable cover into or out of the guide channel. A ventilating passage means is provided in at least one of the normally vertical walls.

Abstract: A food serving tray has a hood shaped to define a generally planar upper surface along with a downwardly depending first marginal skirt. A generally planar lid has an upwardly projecting second marginal skirt that is bonded to the first skirt. A food support is also of generally planar shape and has a downwardly depending third marginal skirt that is bonded to an upwardly-projecting fourth marginal skirt of a likewise generally planar base. The lid is indexed so as to lie in mating relationship atop the support. A liner desirably covers the support.

Abstract: A heat-radiating cover for food dishes includes an outer shell joined at its periphery to the periphery of an inner shell having a shape complentary to and fitting within the outer shell and, mounted atop the outer shell and in the space between the outer and inner shells, a heat sink for absorbing radiating heat through the inner shell to the space beneath it, with the balance of the space between the inner and outer shells filled with insulation.

Abstract: A tote box with a separate security cover, both components being executed in plastic. The tote box is an upwardly opening rectangular receptacle. The security cover is symmetrical and has locking tabs on opposite ends thereof so that the cover can be snapped into locking engagement with slots defined in the receptacle. The security cover can also be flipped over, or reversed, and positioned atop the receptacle to increase its capacity. Tote boxes can be stacked upon one another with the security cover either locked or seated thereon, and the tote boxes can be nested one within another when the covers are removed.

Abstract: A container assembly having a cylindrical container body and a substantially circular container lid is provided with inwardly extending annular reinforcing ribs on an inner surface of the container body in the region of the mouth thereof and with angularly equispaced radially extending reinforcing ribs on the container lid extending from a V-shaped annular channel at the periphery of the lid substantially to an indented circular area at the center thereof. Closure of the lid to the body is effectuated by means of a pair of longitudinally spaced annular shoulders on an inside surface of the container body and a pair of complementary annular lips on the container lid, as well as a third annular shoulder on an outside surface of the container body and a corresponding annular lip on the container lid. One of the inner shoulder surfaces on the container body is disposed in substantially the same transverse plane as the annular shoulder located on the outer surface of the container body.

Abstract: A molded bucket comprises a bucket lip defining an enlarged annular projection at the mouth of the bucket; an inwardly positioned annular shelf facing the mouth adjacent the lip; and an outwardly positioned annular flange joined to said bucket adjacent the annular shelf to provide extra hoop strength to the area of the shelf. The lid for the bucket defines an annular recess receiving the annular projection of the bucket lip in locking relation and an annular straight wall which extends radially inwardly from the recess, at an angle of essentially 10.degree. to 60.degree. from the axis of the bucket, with the inner edge extending outwardly toward the mouth relative to the outer edge. The angled annular straight wall serves as a cantilever beam to transmit stacking force to the annular shelf, so that the bucket does not distort or collapse under conditions of high stacking, the bucket being preferably a tapered bucket.

Abstract: A portable file comprises a case formed with two side panels, a front panel, a back panel, a bottom and a top. The two side panels, back panel and bottom form an integral structure. A first hinge connects the integral structure and the rear end of the top and permits pivoting movement of the top between a closed position and an open position. A second hinge connects the integral structure and the bottom of the front panel and permits pivoting movement of the front panel between a closed position and an extended position. A latch connects the top and the front panel whereby they can be releasably retained in their respective closed positions, and a handle is connected to the case whereby it can be carried. The side panels are formed with supports for a plurality of hanging files, and the top is formed with a retainer cooperating with the supports for retaining the hanging files on the supports when the top is in the closed position, notwithstanding tipping of the case.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for use in a system of containerized handling of fish onboard an ocean-going vessel. Fish are stored in closely stacking containers within the hold of the fishing vessel and are cyclically removed from within the hold to working positions on the deck of the vessel, where they are charged with fish and ice and returned to storage positions, by the cooperative use of an in-hold travelling hoist adapted to move a selected plurality of containers to and from chosen position within the hold compartment without disturbing other containers and an above-deck conveying system operable to convey the plurality of containers between a position inside the hold compartment directly below the hatchway through the deck overlying the hold compartment and a selected working position on the deck.

Abstract: A knock-down cheese curing box is formed of plastic members including an individually constructed bottom tray, individually constructed side panels, and a top cover. The side panels have interfitting tabs and notches by which the side panels are slid into an interfit with each other into a rectangular tubular configuration. The bottom tray has a peripheral lip within which the rectangular tubular configuration is received.

Abstract: A one piece cover for a liquid container is scored to outline a tab portion in the top of the cover. Access to the liquid is provided by urging the tab portion upwardly while not disturbing the remainder of the cover. The presence of the cover does not interfere with the generally plannar shape of the cover top so that successive covered containers may be stacked one upon the other. Various tab structures are disclosed which may be opened without the user's fingers coming into contact with the liquid within the container.

Abstract: A stackable, closable container is provided. The container has a generally cylindrical body portion and generally circular top and bottom end walls. The container has an opening at its top end wall and is plugged with a resiliently flexible cover. In a preferred embodiment, the cover acts as a child-resistant closure. The cover also acts as a female member which receives a male member on the bottom end of an identical container stacked above it. The weight of the top container, however, is supported by the raised flange on the top end wall of the container beneath it, such that no weight is supported by the closure itself. Additionally, the top raised flange of the container and its bottom chime extend outwardly approximately an equal distance such that when one container is adjacent to an identical container in a side-by-side relationship there is a space between the containers so as to avoid scuffing of the containers or labels affixed thereto.

Abstract: A stackable drum as disclosed. At one edge of the top, a water collecting channel is defined having outlet holes communicating with it. The walls of the drum are reinforced. A skirting on the bottom of the drum is received within the lip of the drum beneath. The top, bottom and side walls are adapted to cooperate, when a plurality of such drums are stacked vertically, to pass the weight of an upper drum directly through the rim of the top, through the walls and bottom, and into a third drum stacked below it. A cap seal is applied atop the lid of the drum. It is in the form of a closed pan, with a stopper in it.

Abstract: A container comprises an open-mouthed receptacle and a lid. The receptacle has side walls and a base, and is formed with an outwardling-extending rim which surrounds the open mouth of the receptacle. The receptacle is formed by vacuum moulding a sheet of plastics material whose external dimensions correspond to the external dimensions of the rim. The ratio of the thickness of the rim to that of the rest of the receptacle is at least 4.5:1.

Abstract: A security box for storing, transporting, and selectively viewing papers is disclosed. Interfitting locking structure is provided between the lid and container. Pockets having interior and exterior portions are provided in the side and end walls. The interior portion of the pockets supports opposite ends of dividers, and the exterior of the pockets comprise nesting stops for containers stacked in a nested stack without lids.

Abstract: A container (10, 55) suitable for the packaging of a block of cheese for maturing, the container comprising an assembly of separately formed wall members (11, 51, 55). The wall members (11, 51, 55) forming the sides of the container each include a planar wall section (12, 52, 56) and means (17, 53, 58) associated with an outer side thereof to define passages (15, 54, 59) adjacent said planar wall section and open to the atmosphere for circulation of air therethrough for cooling purposes. Corner forming means (22, 22', 61) integral with the wall members, and detachably connected to mating corner forming means of the adjacent side wall members to hold the side wall members in an assembled condition. In one example the sidewall members have a single planar wall section (52) on the outer side of which webs (53) are provided to define passages in the form of channels (54).

Abstract: A display package for face masks is provided. The package presents the mask in a realistic, three-dimensional form. The package is nestable with other packages. In addition, the package preserves the relative hygienity of the face mask, until purchase, and yet, allows potential purchasers to try-on the mask by placing the package and mask over the potential purchaser's face prior to purchase. The transparent package basically comprises a front and rear section, each having forwardly projecting, mask shaped areas. The face mask is held between the mask shaped areas.

Abstract: Container package for transporting a plurality of silicon wafers for shipment as well as preventing contamination thereof. The container wafer package includes a cassette having two sides, an end, and an H-bar including an upper ramp support and a lower round support with the bar being reinforced by a partially cylindrical rod, a package bottom including four sides, a female trough surrounding the sides, hook latches, four internal side dividing members, and orthogonal feet for stacking; and the package top including four sides, a male trough to mate with the female trough, configured independent flexible grooved fingers, and orthogonal feet for stacking where the cassette is positioned by internal side dividers in the top and bottom packages for secure placement.

Abstract: Disclosed is a packaging system capable of protecting the freshness and structural integrity of fully-baked pastry shells during shipping and storage. According to the disclosure, individual baked pastry shells, held in conforming baking pans, are provided with a wrapping of high polymer film; a plurality of the so-wrapped shells are arranged together to form a vertical stack; and one or more of such stacks is then surrounded and enclosed with a corrugated shipping container. Abstract: A travel lid for a disposable coffee cup useful in place for drinking coffee while the user is moving. The lid has a continuous rim adapted to grip the upper rim of a disposable coffee cup and a top closing surface. On one side of the closing surface there is an expansible coffee-sipping port element shaped and positioned to be received by the mouth. On the opposite side of the closing surface there is a vent formation. The expansible coffee sipping port element, in the condition supplied to the server of coffee, is of vertically collapsed configuration with its upper end disposed below the upper edge of the continuous rim. The sipping port element in the collapsed position provides clearance sufficient to enable the lid to be compactly stacked with other lids of identical form for shipment and dispensing.

Abstract: A lid for containers, usually beverage cups which may be for hot beverages or cold beverages, is provided, having a cavity adapted for seating against the bead of the container. A skirt extends downwardly from the cavity, having a number of outwardly extending projections formed in it, each of the projections having a substantially rectangular appearance with a vertical face and vertical side walls. The portions of the skirt between the outwardly extending projections extend inwardly to form a discontinued waist having an undercut which defines the cavity in the waist portion; the cavity being defined by a higher and less inwardly extending undercut over the top portion of each of the outwardly extending projections. Beneath the projections and the waist portions between them there extends outwardly and downwardly a lower band portion; below which may be a vertically extending wall, and which may have an outwardly turned lip at its bottom.
