  • Patent number: 9969111
Abstract: A one-piece trim bezel formed from multiple components. In the event of two co-molded components, the first co-molded part is composed of a polymerized material having an unpainted surface that may be a high gloss smooth surface or a textured low gloss surface and the second co-molded part, formed with the first part, is composed of a plateable plastic material. The plateable plastic material may be plateable with chrome. A multiple-shot injection molding process is used to form the one-piece trim bezel which joins the first co-molded part and the second co-molded part in one operation. The formed part is then subjected to a plating process during which time only the chrome deposits on the surface of the plateable plastic material of the second co-molded part while the surface of the first co-molded part remains unplated.

  • Patent number: 9937450
Abstract: The present invention presents a filtration system with an integrated manifold valve. The filtration system employs only one pivotal component—the pivoting of the manifold. The manifold valve includes a dual aperture design for a two-fold alignment scheme with the ingress and egress lines of the fluid source. The invention is free of multi-component rotary valve with internal, rotatable parts, or an activation component, such as a handle, for initiating the rotary valve, allowing the user to rotate the rotational components thereof. The reduction in moveable components in this design reduces the likelihood of failure and increases the reliability of the filtration system.

  • Patent number: 9901852
Abstract: A filter assembly for fluid filtration having a push-activated lock and release mechanism. A push filter design activates a floating key lock upon insertion and extraction, where the filter key may be used simultaneously as a lock and as an identifier for particular filter attributes. The filter base may be situated inline, and in fluid communication, with influent and effluent piping, such as within a refrigerator. The filter housing assembly may be attached to, and removed from, the filter base by a push-actuated release. Upon insertion, the filter key shifts the filter lock longitudinally to receive interlocking segments. Upon extraction, the same axial push shifts the filter lock further to align the interlocking fingers within gaps that allow for easy extraction. The specific key lock design allows a user to identify and match certain filter configurations received by the mechanical support, and reject other filter configurations.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel filter (10) having a filter element (12) for separating water from the fuel. The water can be fed into a collection chamber (24) of the fuel filter (10) via a first conduit (26), which extends from the filter element (12) to the collection chamber (24). Provided in the first conduit (26) is a branching off of a second conduit (32), which enables fluid discharge from the first conduit (26). Preferably, a throttle (34) and in particular a press-fit throttle is provided in the second conduit (32), in order to regulate the amount of outflow. The second conduit (32) preferably branches off from the first conduit (26) at substantially a 90 degree angle to the first conduit (26), so that fluid flowing in the first conduit (26) primarily flows past the second conduit (32) and reaches the collection chamber (24).
