  • Patent number: 10487815
Abstract: An improved air compressor includes a cylinder that is fitted with a piston body and defines at its top wall a plurality of exit holes which are approximately equal in diameter and can be regulated by a resilient sheet having a plurality of branches to enable the cylinder to communicate with an air storage container. The exit holes are normally sealed by the branches of the resilient sheet with the assistance of compression springs when the air compressor is not in operation. The exit holes allow the compressed air produced in the cylinder to quickly enter the air storage container, so that the piston body can conduct reciprocating motion more smoothly and thus the performance of the air compressor can be increased.

  • Patent number: 8968564
Abstract: A filter turning mechanism is attached to an engine in proximity to a filter (such as an oil filter), and may be used to install or remove a filter by turning the filter. The filter turning mechanism contacts a filter, and rotates the filter when the filter turning mechanism is rotated with a tool. One implementation of the filter turning mechanism includes an inner drive gear and a filter drive mechanism. The inner drive gear normally spins freely within the filter drive mechanism, but when pushed into the filter drive mechanism with a suitable tool such as a ratchet extension, the inner drive gear engages the filter drive mechanism, thereby causing rotation of the inner drive gear to rotate the filter drive mechanism as well, which in turn rotates the filter.

  • Patent number: 8951415
Abstract: The present invention presents a filtration system with an integrated manifold valve. The filtration system employs only one pivotal component—the pivoting of the manifold. The manifold valve includes a dual aperture design for a two-fold alignment scheme with the ingress and egress lines of the fluid source. The invention is free of multi-component rotary valve with internal, rotatable parts, or an activation component, such as a handle, for initiating the rotary valve, allowing the user to rotate the rotational components thereof. The reduction in moveable components in this design reduces the likelihood of failure and increases the reliability of the filtration system.

The capsule has a tubular element configured to define a flow path between the capsule and a fuel filter assembly housing. The tubular element defines an interior chamber, a proximal end, and a distal end defining a manifold. The tubular element is configured to be removably received by the fuel filter assembly housing. The interior chamber is configured to receive a fuel filter element. The capsule is configured to direct fuel flow from the proximal end of the capsule, around the tubular element, to a point beyond the distal end of the capsule, and to receive fuel flow from the point beyond the distal end of the capsule and direct the fuel flow via the manifold to the filter element, thereby providing at least two passes of the fuel flow through filter elements within the fuel filter assembly housing.

Abstract: A fuel pump module includes a fuel module flange covering and sealing an opening in a fuel tank of a vehicle. The flange has a top connector extending outside the fuel tank for delivering fuel to an engine, and a bottom connector extending inside the fuel tank and in fluid communication with the top connector. A filter hose includes a flexible tubular shell having first and second ends and an interior, and flexible filter structure disposed within the interior of the shell. The module includes a fuel pump. The first end of the shell is coupled to the bottom connector of the flange and the second end of the shell is coupled to an outlet of the fuel pump so that the filter structure filters fuel exiting the outlet of the pump so that filtered fuel can be delivered through the flange to the engine.

Abstract: A fuel supply system includes a plurality of fuel pumps, and one suction filter. The suction filter includes connection portions that are connected to pump inlets of the fuel pumps, and an interval adjusting member that adjusts the interval between the connection portions in accordance with the interval between the fuel pumps. Thus, it is possible to fit the suction filter to the fuel pumps without changing the interval between the fuel pumps. Because the interval between pump outlets is not changed, it is possible to minimize the problems that are likely to occur when the suction filter is fitted to the fuel pumps.

Abstract: A liquid fuel strainer assembly includes a filter body of filtration media. The filter body includes a first wall and an opposing second wall shaped to define an enclosed interior space therebetween. A fitting connects the filter body to a fuel pump, and provides fluid communication from the enclosed interior space of the filter body to the fuel pump. A flexible tube is disposed within the enclosed interior space of the filter body. The flexible tube prevents the first wall and the second wall from collapsing toward each other to allow fuel to flow through the enclosed interior space toward the fitting.
