Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to a container spout secured relative to a hollow container body. The container spout includes a cap region configured to accept a container cap (e.g., a snap-on cap), and a support region positioned between the cap region and the hollow container body. The support region comprises one or more bumper rolls positioned around an exterior of the support region and one or more support protrusions extending between a bottom edge of the cap region and a bottom edge of the support region, wherein each of the one or more support protrusions defines a substantially horizontal convex curvature having a radius smaller than a radius of the container spout. The support protrusions are aligned with corners of the container, and thereby transfer axial crushing forces applied to the container spout onto the container corners to increase the axial crush resistance of the container.

The ultrasonic sensor includes an oscillator which has a transceiving surface which transmits or receives an ultrasonic wave, a cylindrical elastic member which surrounds an outer surface of the oscillator extending from the transceiving surface in a thickness-wise direction of the transceiving surface and has an inner surface contacting the outer surface of the oscillator, a body which has a housing with a bottom and in which the to oscillator and the elastic member are disposed except a protruding portion on a side of said transceiving surface, and an annular body which surrounds the protruding portion of the elastic member and is disposed in the body in contact with a front of the attachment object.

Abstract: A vial comprises a vial top and a lid. The lid comprises a top and a bottom. A circular securing feature is attached to the bottom and has a diameter that is less than the diameter of the lid, thus forming a lip around the circumference of the bottom. The securing feature comprises a snap bead that extends outwards therefrom. An internal undercut in the vial mates with the snap bead when the lid is in the closed position. The vial top comprises a ledge. The underside of the lip secures to the ledge when the lid is in the closed position. An anti-pry wall is located on the ledge, having a diameter larger than the lid and surrounding the lid when the lid is in the closed position. The height of the anti-pry wall is taller than the underside of the lip when the lid is in the closed position.

Abstract: Closure cap intended to close off an open end of a reservoir, comprising a substantially cylindrical body (12) of longitudinal axis (Z) that is intended to be mounted on the open end of the reservoir and is provided with a flow orifice (12e) and a lid (14) that is articulated about a transverse pivot axis (A0) with respect to the body (12), by means of at least two hinges (16), between an open position of the flow orifice (12e) and a closed position of said flow orifice (12e), said lid (14) having an outside diameter greater than the outside diameter of the body (12) and forming a radial lip, said closure cap (10) also comprising a return member (18) that is disposed in a plane passing between the two hinges (16) and is able to keep the lid (14) in each of the positions. The return member (18) has a bent shape configured to be inserted into cavities (12f, 14d) made in the body (12) and in the lid (14), respectively, and to be flush with the radial lip of the lid (14) in the closed position.

Abstract: A waste storage container for a litter box for pets, that consists of a housing having a bottom surface and four side walls, creating an interior cavity therein, and a lip surrounding a top edge of the four side walls, the lip extending outward from the sidewalls and away from the cavity. There is a hook connected to one of the sidewalls, and being configured for attachment to a top edge of a litter box. A foot plate extends outward from the sidewall beneath the hook to keep the waste container in an upright position when the waste container is connected to a litter box with sloped walls. There is also a lid configured for attachment to the housing to cover the cavity.

Abstract: A coextruded polyethylene blown film, particularly for packaging, has a thickness between 20 ?m and 250 ?m and is formed by a foamed, particle-containing core layer between a first unfoamed weldable outer layer and a second unfoamed outer layer. The core layer has a polyethylene or a polyethylene-based mixture as a polymer component having a melt mass-flow rate (MFR) per DIN ISO EN 1133 of greater than 5 g/10 min at 190° C. and 2.16 kg.

Abstract: A child-resistant container including a container body (10), a lid (24), and at least one resilient tab (110) is provided. The lid is pivotable about an axis through a hinge (26) joining the lid to the container body to open and close the container. The resilient tab has a proximal portion fixed to the lid, a distal portion projecting from the lid, and at least one abutment (109) on the distal portion. The abutment on the distal portion of the tab is normally biased into engagement with an abutment (118) on the container body when the lid is in its closed position. The distal portion of the tab is displaceable against the bias to disengage the abutment of the tab from the abutment of the container. Displacement of the tab releases the lid so that it can be pivoted about the hinge to open the container.

Abstract: A child-resistant closure (10) is provided and comprises a base (15) and a lid (20). The base has an inner skirt (50) and an outer skirt (25). The closure has locking means (81, 86) tor releasably locking the lid in a closed position. The outer skirt has one or more pressing zones (80, 85) which can be pressed to release the locking means. The inner skirt has one or more cut-outs (65, 70) in register with the or each pressing zone whereby to allow greater deflection thereof.

Abstract: A cap includes a top wall, an outer peripheral edge, a first section, and a second section. A skirt depends from the outer peripheral edge. The skirt includes an attached end, a free end, a plurality of slots, and a plurality of apertures. Each aperture is spaced-apart from the free end of the skirt. The top wall has a first configuration and a second configuration. When the top wall is in the first configuration, the first section is generally planer and the second section is generally arcuate. When the top wall is in the first configuration, the skirt extends generally perpendicularly to the first section to generally engage at least a portion of a container. When the top wall is in the second configuration, the free end of the skirt extends radially outwardly from the attached end thereof to allow the cap to be removed from the container.

Abstract: A child-resistant lift-off cap for a container is adapted to be difficult to unseat independently to open the container. An overlay portion associated with the cap is adapted for use to lift the cap from a container to unseat it. The overlay portion has a thumb tab and is deformable to engage and lift the seated cap only when the thumb tab is lifted. The overlay portion raises independently of the cap when the deformable portion is not deformed into engagement with the cap. Alternatively, a lift-top cap having a slot through it, the slot having a first opening near an edge of the cap to be lifted to unseat the cap and a second opening. A slide in the slot has a first end biased to be flush with or recessed into the first opening and a second end biased to normally protrude out of the second opening. The second end of the slide can be depressed against the bias of the slide to displace the first end of the slide out of the first opening to function as a thumb tab to assist in lifting the cap from a container.

Abstract: A capping system and method of use for sealing injectable drugs within vials is disclosed. The system includes a closure assembly and a locking cap. The closure assembly includes a retainer member and a resilient stopper located within the retainer member. The retainer member is arranged to be disposed on the vial whereupon a gap results between the stopper and the vial. The retainer member is movable to close that gap. The locking cap is used to permanently seal the vial.

Abstract: Described is a bottle having a container which includes a threaded neck and a handle. The threaded neck includes a dispensing opening and a handle opening. The bottle also includes a dispensing closure configured to engage the container. The bottle also includes a child-resistant closure cap which includes a pair of tabs that lock into the latches on the closure base member.

Abstract: An ultrasonic liquefaction endodontic system having a graspable hand piece includes a contra-angle tip assembly that has an insert and an internal fluid flow passageway. A portion of the fluid flow passageway passes through a C-shaped receiver located at the end of the receiver so that an ultrasonic frequency may pass directly to the fluid flowing through the passageway. The fluid flow passageway may be an injection tube and the tubular body portion of the tip assembly may be injection molded around the injection tube and the insert. A supply tube, which is held in position by tube guides connected to the hand piece, provides a source of flushing fluid with and without pulsed pressure. The fluid pressure pulses may have an ultrasonic energy superimposed thereon as the fluid is forced into a root canal.

Abstract: A stopper for a container neck having a skirt centered on an axis, and an internal snapping device. The snapping device fastens the stopper to the neck by engaging with an edge of the neck and an external disengagement tab projecting outwards from the skirt and running over a peripheral portion of the skirt. The skirt includes an external collar projecting outwards and running over a peripheral portion of the skirt distinct from the portion associated with the tab, by being separated from the portion associated with the tab at either end around the periphery of the skirt. At least a portion of the collar that runs through greater than 180° about the axis includes, in cross-section relative to the axis, a circular outside profile centered on the axis and having a radius substantially equal to the maximum radial distance between the axis and the outside profile of the tab.

The horizontal slits enable the top portion to flex axially to provide additional rotational leverage for disengaging the snap beads from the annular locking ring.

Abstract: A child-resistant package includes a housing having an internal volume for holding items to be dispensed, a cylindrical neck, an end wall on the neck and a dispensing opening in the end wall. A closure has an end wall with a dispensing opening and a skirt. One of the skirt and the neck, preferably the neck, has a channel and the other of the skirt and the neck, preferably the skirt, has a bead for receipt in the channel such that the closure is rotatable on the neck for selectively aligning the dispensing openings to dispense items from within the housing. A child resistance mechanism between the closure and the neck resists rotation of the closure on the neck. The end wall of the closure preferably includes a dosage window, and a disk preferably is disposed between the closure and the end wall of the neck having dosage indicia viewable through the dosage window.

The locking lug and the finger engage the rib and permit a rotation between a first position, where the finger and gap are aligned and a series of second positions, where the finger and gap are not aligned. A tab extends from the cover portion for applying a force to the cover when the cap is in the first position to remove the cap from the bottle.

Abstract: A closure is described wherein a flip top is provided with a child-resistant opening mechanism. The flip top closure is attached to a neck finish, fitment or other container spout and includes a flip top that is hingedly attached to a depending sidewall. The child-resistant mechanism includes a retention tab that engages a retention bead when the flip top is closed, but allows the top to be opened by the alignment of the retention tab with a retention lug, located on the neck finish or fitment, over which the retention tab may slide when upward force is applied to a thumb tab attached to the top. The interaction of the retention tab and the retention lug when the flip top is closed prevents the closure from being automatically aligned for opening, after the closure is closed.

Abstract: A dispenser of moist wipes, towelettes, or liquid impregnated fibrous tissues, comprising a container, a lid having an orifice therein for withdrawal of the wipes, and a cap over the orifice to prevent evaporation of liquid from the container. The wipes may be placed in the container in roll form, and withdrawn sequentially and individually by pulling through the orifice and tearing apart at perforations between the wipes. The lid is removably attached by a snap fit to the container, and the lower edge of the lid is protected by an outwardly extending circumferential protrusion on the vertical side of the container adjacent the lower edge of the lid, so as to inhibit accidental removal of the lid. An opening is provided in the protrusion to permit removal of the lid as desired.

At least one bead segment projects inwardly from an inner surface of the tamper-indicating band and is sized to engage a continuous bead projecting outwardly from an outer surface of the container neck portion to prevent removal of the tamper-indicating band therefrom upon a first application thereto.

Abstract: A child-resistant adult-friendly prescription storage vial is presented with an over-cap which can only be removed from the vial by first orienting the cap at a particular point on the vial and then depressing a pair of push-tabs on the cap. When the cap is properly oriented the push-tabs mechanically operate a pair of locking tabs on the vial which hold the cap in place. The locking tabs are designed so that an extended lip on the tab interlocks with a slit on the cap and can only be removed from the slit when the push-tabs on the cap are manually operated.

Abstract: An easy opening dispenser closure is disclosed having a top and an annular depending base skirt with a lid mounted on the top. The lid has a downwardly depending annular edge which in turn has an extension with an end shaped to fit the end of a thumb. The skirt has a thumb recess in which the extension fits. The extension locks the lid securely and detachably to the base skirt. The lid has a chamfered edge on the top to assist in centering the entire closure on the container during capping.

Abstract: In a cap and container closure, the cap is integrally formed with a trigger sprayer housing and the cap and container have a bayonet-type closure that attaches the cap to the container by pressing the cap downwardly on the container without turning, or by no more than a quarter turn of the cap relative to the container, and the cap also has upper and lower lugs that engage against the top and bottom surfaces of ridges on the container neck to hold the cap securely on the container neck and prevent any rocking movement of the cap on the container.

Abstract: A child-resistant closure for a container having a neck and a mouth covered by a flexible cap of inverted cup shape. The container neck includes an outwardly projecting, ramped rib having a lower ramp end. The cap has at least one projection extending inwardly from a sidewall, with the projection being normally positioned radially spaced outside of the ramped rib, but being manually movable inwardly with the side wall to engage the ramped rib near the lower end in a predetermined rotational position of the cap. A detent member hold the cap in a position closing the container mouth but permitting cap rotation. The sidewall may be squeezed to engage the projection and ramped rib, and rotated in one direction, with the ramped rib raising the projection, to force the cap upwardly to open the container by disengaging the detent member from its cap-holding position.

Abstract: A closure 1 for a container comprises a slidable opening member 3 slidable between a retracted position and an extended position. In the retracted position, substantially no opening force can readily be applied to the opening member 3. In the extended position, an opening force can be applied to the opening member 3 to open the container. A spring or similar device is provided for automatically returning the opening member to the retracted position.

Abstract: The key ring attachable lighter holding shell with flexible holding flaps is a shell-shaped holder into which a reusable lighter or a disposable lighter may be inserted and held securely, yet can also be taken out and replaced again, and it may be attached to a key ring or key chain in order to help prevent a person from losing a lighter as long as the keys are not lost.

Abstract: A tamper indicating, child proof, container cap designed for easy manipulation by arthritic fingers of a user includes an annular tear strip and a rotatably indexing latch finger on the cap which engages a raised annular retainer ridge with bypass opening on the neck of the container. A tactile indicator of the rotational location of the bypass opening is under the tear strip for sensing by the user's finger that is in simultaneous contact with the cap when the tear strip is removed. A lower ridge includes an index key for orienting the latch finger away from the bypass opening during assembly of the system. The top of the cap includes an extended axial length portion that is shaped for easy grip by arthritic fingers.

A removable tear skirt with continuous opposing groups of ratchet teeth on its inner surface depends from the outer peripheral edge of an out-turned flange on said annular wall. An inturned continuous annular rib on said annular depending wall engages on and deforms the neck configuration. The tear skirt is joined to the flange with multiple frangible connections from the ratchet teeth, a pull tab on the tear skirt with frangible lines requiring removal of the tab and tear skirt from the cap before the cap can be rotated.

Abstract: An easy open container which is also child resistant provides for a cap for attachment to the container. The cap contains an indent for retaining the cap on the base. On the neck of the container there is contained a lip which retains the indent thereon so that the cap is child resistant. In addition, the cap is also easy to open in that extending from the cover portion of the cap is a flange, which provides for an easy to grip mechanism so that an arthritic user is able to grip the cap and align the detent with a discontinuity in the lip.

Abstract: A generally cylindrical relative rotatable lock structure comprises three relatively rotatable coaxial members. The first and second members have generally opposed surfaces carrying connecting means which interengage to prevent relative axial movement between those members except in predetermined relatively rotatable positions. The third member is supported by one of the first or second members to prevent axial movement relative to the supporting member, but to permit rotatable movement. Friction between the third and non-supporting member causes the third member to rotate with the non-supporting member. The third member has connecting means cooperable with the connecting means on the member which does not support the third member to prevent relative axial movement between the third and non-supporting members except in predetermined relative position.

Abstract: A two-piece safety cap for a container including a valve assembly having a valve rim thereon is disclosed. The safety cap comprises a collar having an inner surface and an outer surface and top and bottom portions. The collar is securably seatable on the valve rim so that the inner surface is arranged adjacent the valve rim. The bottom portion of the collar is sized and shaped so that the collar can be arranged on the valve rim regardless of the diameter of the barrel of the associated container without any interference occurring between the bottom portion of the collar and the container. The safety cap also comprises a cover adapted to be mounted between a removable position and a non-removable position on the collar.
