Tool Or Implement Holder Or Attachment Patents (Class 215/390)
  • Patent number: 6302608
Abstract: A brush and bottle combination is disclosed in which the bottle has a blind recessed area formed in its peripheral surface and a shoulder projecting outwardly into the blind recessed area. This shoulder is formed integrally with the body of the bottle and has notches provided in its supporting legs. The brush has a main body portion and depending opposed legs which are integral with and depend from side edges of the body. These legs terminate in inwardly directed ribs which are engageable with the recesses in the legs of the shoulder member so that the brush can be snapped into place on the body within the recess, or substantially within the recess, so that the outer surface of the brush body and the peripheral surface of the container are substantially flush when the brush is connected thereto.

  • Patent number: 6216942
Abstract: A packaging system for bulk goods or material comprises a hollow polygonal blown plastic form or container for accommodating the material which is to be contained therein. A cardboard cover surrounds and is fixed to the hollow plastic form. The hollow plastic form has at least one outer edge indentation in a corner area, corresponding to a polygonal area of the cardboard cover which can be folded inside for locking or securement purposes, which is symmetrical to a corner fold line of the cardboard cover, and which is connected to the cardboard cover by at least one stamped line arranged perpendicular to the corner fold line and two fold lines forming a V-shape. The packaging system enables secure fastening between the hollow plastic form and the wrapper. To achieve this, the polygonal area of the cover is shaped as a square, and the V-shaped fold lines merge into two stamped lines culminating in a point.

  • Patent number: 6020823
Abstract: A package wrap for decoratively covering a container having side walls defining an interior space for carrying a product therein, includes a flexible thin sheet of polymeric material adapted to be shrink-wrapped onto the exterior of the container. An illuminating or a sound producing device is positioned between the flexible thin sheet of polymeric material and the exterior of the container so that when the flexible sheet of polymeric material is shrink-wrapped onto the container, the illuminating device or the sound device will be held securely in place. The illuminating device is adapted to be illuminated upon activation by a pressure, motion, or acoustically sensitive switch. The sound device is adapted to produce an audible signal upon activation by a pressure or motion sensitive switch. When the illuminating device is activated, illumination therefrom will be visible through the flexible thin sheet of polymeric material to enhance and highlight a printed pattern on the exterior of the package wrap.

  • Patent number: 5992617
Abstract: Storage devices for paint rollers, paint roller covers, and paint brushes. The storage devices for the paint rollers and paint roller covers are cylindrical containers, having a lid, which are flared outwardly at their upper portions and have a foam insert at the bottom for forming a spongy seal with the painting implement. The container for the cover has a core in it over and around which the roller cover fits. The paint implement holder may be a foam insert which is sized to fit inside of a paint can, e.g. a one or a five gallon can. The foam inserts have openings for receiving one or more paint implements. Alternatively, the paint brush holder is a rectangular-shaped container having a foam insert fitted to its upper portion. The exterior of the insert is sized to fit the container. The insert has an opening for holding a paint brush collar to allow the bristles to be in the container without touching the bottom. The insert keeps the brush wet and from drying out.

  • Patent number: 5752687
Abstract: A cup holder includes a ring-shaped supporting member, a cord with a proximal end fixedly attached to the supporting member, a hook attached to the distal end of the cord, and a pair of upper and lower anchoring pins attached to the supporting member at a position opposite the proximal end of the cord. A lid retainer is attached to the cord between the ends. A conventional mounting device attached to the supporting member attaches the cup holder to a vehicle, such as on the handlebar of a bicycle. A disposable cup, such as those typically used for holding hot coffee to go, may be held in the cup holder by placing it in the supporting member, positioning the lid retainer on top of the lid, and engaging the hook on one of pins, which is selected to keep the cord in tension. Thus the lid is secured on the cup to prevent spills even when the liquid is sloshed around inside the cup, such as during a bicycle ride.

  • Patent number: 5706974
Abstract: A lid for a container designed to contain powder or granular materials includes a lip on an interior or bottom surface of the lid for selectively attaching a scoop. The lip is resiliently deformable when an edge of the scoop is pressed against it. This deforming creates an interference fit, thereby securing the scoop to the undersurface of the lid. When the scoop is to be used, it can be easily removed from the lid without the need for rooting and searching within the container for the lid.

  • Patent number: 5601199
Abstract: A liquid dispenser having a closing member which is provided with an outlet opening for the dispensing of a liquid containing in the dispenser. In order to prevent the outlet opening from being blocked, a disc shaped filter member is provided which comprises a plurality of holes. The individual holes are smaller in diameter than the outlet opening. The filter member can be fixed to the dispenser in the region of its outlet opening by means of the closing member. In order to provide for a simple centering of the filter member on the dispenser, the filter member comprises a tapered circular rib running along its outer edge. Moreover, the filter member is provided with a plurality of notches along its peripheral edge to form a plurality of yielding tongues.

  • Patent number: 5586676
Abstract: A drinking container cap is provided having an exterior surface, and an interior surface, with the interior surface having a stirrer depending downwardly therefrom. Preferably the interior surface has formed thereon a stirrer receptacle, with the stirrer receptacle itself being generally cylindrical. The stirrer mechanically engages with the stirrer receptacle, and is detachable therefrom. The stirrer receptacle has an inner and an outer surface, with an indentation in its inner surface. The stirrer has a shank end and a terminal end, with the shank end having a bulged area which engages with the indentation, and the terminal end having a bowl portion. In the preferred embodiment of the invention the stirrer receptacle has two notches formed therein, and the stirrer has two projections extending outwardly from the shank end, with the notches being on opposite sides of the stirrer receptacle and the projections being on opposite sides of the stirrer.

  • Patent number: 5544769
Abstract: A package is formed by locating a vacuum formed plastics insert into a glass with inward movement of the plastics insert into the glass being restricted by an edge of the insert abutting the rim of the glass. The insert is a friction of force fit on the inner portion of the glass adjacent to the rim. A plastic sleeve is then shrink wrapped around the exterior surface of the glass and over the rim of the glass to hold the insert in place in the glass. The top of the insert includes an opening which is pushed over the enlarged cap of a bottle to retain the package on the bottle.
