Patent number: 8383990Abstract: A chilled arm that transports a substrate to and from a heating plate for performing a heating process on the substrate is formed with a flow passage pipe therein, and cools the entire holding area thereof opposed to the substrate held by the chilled arm to a predetermined reference temperature by supplying circulating cooling water through the flow passage pipe. Six polyimide heaters are affixed to the holding area to control the temperature of at least a portion of the holding area at a temperature different from the reference temperature. These two temperature control mechanisms intentionally provide a temperature distribution to the holding area to thereby provide an intentional temperature distribution to the substrate before and after the heat treatment by the heating plate. This reduces the nonuniformity of a temperature distribution which typically occurs in the heating plate to accomplish a uniform heat treatment throughout the heat treatment process step.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2008Date of Patent: February 26, 2013Assignee: Sokudo Co., Ltd.Inventors: Akihiko Morita, Kenichi Oyama, Koji Nishi

The oven includes a door having at least two separated air channels. The air channels comprise at least one first air channel to discharge hot air generated when cooling the door through the lower end of the door, and at least one second air channel to introduce air through the lower end of the door such that the door is cooled. In the housing is mounted a circulating fan. Between the circulating fan and the air channels is connected a channel connecting unit. As the circulating fan is rotated, air flows along the second air channel to cool the door. Hot air generated when cooling the door is introduced into the first air channel through the channel connecting unit, and is then discharged out of the oven through the lower end of the door.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 2005Date of Patent: March 30, 2010Assignee: Samsung Electronics Co., LtdInventors: Sung Soo Park, Pung Yeun Cho, Cheol Jin Kim, Kyoung Ho Kim, Kil Young Lee, Sung Kwang Kim, Yu Jeub Ha, Yun Ic Hwang, Sang Hyun Kang, Seok Weon Hong, Tae Ho Kim

Publication number: 20100072187Abstract: In a built-in drawer type cooking device, an open/close door 2a and a heating container 2b that constitute a drawer body 2 are separably connected to each other. The open/close door 2a and the heating container 2b are connected via an insulator 10 to prevent a discharge phenomenon due to emission of microwaves. The open/close door 2a and the heating container 2b can be separated from each other with the drawer body 2 being drawn out, and thus the heating container 2b can be taken out of the cooking device and cleaned or wholly washed. Also, an inner wall surface of a heating chamber 3 that is easily contaminated can be cleaned while being visually checked. The heating container 2b and the open/close door 2a are separately produced, and then can be individually stored, conveyed and stacked, thereby reducing a rejection rate due to deformation and increasing productivity in an assembling process.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 16, 2009Publication date: March 25, 2010Inventor: Masayuki UNO

Publication number: 20100044362Abstract: An oven having an adjustable effective heating space includes an oven body with a scale and a space control knob on the outside to allow manual adjustment of the heating space. Through a transmission assembly and a lever assembly, the position of a heating assembly located in a heating chamber can be adjusted to form an effective heating space with another heating tube in the heating chamber. The size of the effective heating space can be adjusted in a stepless fashion according to user's requirements so that baking and roasting condition can be fine-tuned whenever desired without moving foodstuff or the oven. The oven thus formed provides multiple functions to heat the foodstuff effectively. Roasting can be done simpler and safer with less energy consumption.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2008Publication date: February 25, 2010Inventor: Ya-Ping HUANG

Publication number: 20100006558Abstract: According to another aspect, the subject application involves an oven and a method of controlling an oven for cooking a food item. The oven includes a cooking cavity, a user interface comprising an input device to be actuated with a single actuation event by a cook to select a predetermined cooking mode for cooking the food item, a heating element operable to produce heat required to cook the food item within the cooking cavity, and a control unit. The method includes receiving a cooking signal in response to actuation of the input device with the single actuation event by the cook, and establishing a cooking parameter for the predetermined cooking mode based on the cooking signal. The cooking parameter can be specific to the food item to be cooked according to the predetermined cooking mode of the oven. The method also includes initiating the predetermined cooking mode associated with the input device, and detecting that cooking of the food item according to the predetermined cooking mode is complete.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 9, 2009Publication date: January 14, 2010Applicant: Electrolux Home Products, Inc.Inventors: Keith McLoughlin, Margaret Mary Sterling
