Abstract: A cooktop assembly includes a burner box and a controller disposed on the burner box. A mounting panel is coupled to the burner box over the controller. The mounting panel defines a plurality of embossed features. Each of the plurality of embossed features extends vertically upward from discrete portions of the mounting panel. A plurality of coil assemblies includes individual coil assemblies. Each of the individual coil assemblies includes a coil disposed on a coil plate that defines more than one aperture. Each of the individual embossed features extends through an aperture of the more than one aperture defined by one of the coil plates when the individual coil assemblies are disposed on the mounting panel. A cooktop is disposed over the plurality of coil assemblies and coupled to the burner box.

Abstract: A track rail heating assembly that is adapted to position a heater element in spaced relation proximate to a surface of a track rail of a railroad. The assembly includes at least one heating element, and a housing that is operable to at least partially surround the heating element while positioning the heating element near to track rail. The hood positions the heating element relative to the rail section such that a gap exists between the heating element and the rail section. As the heating element does not contact the rail, the heating element cannot form an electrical by-pass for signals passing through the rail section. The assembly further incorporates a flexible barrier that at least partially isolates a side surface of the track rail from ambient conditions to reduce heat loss.

Abstract: A surface cooking module for a household cooking appliance is provided in which the surface cooking module includes a frame having a front end and a rear end, a front fixation bracket on the front end of the frame, the front fixation bracket for engaging a corresponding first fixation element in a chassis of the household cooking appliance and enabling the frame to pivot about the front end of the frame when engaged with the first fixation element, and a spring clip coupled to the rear end of the frame, the rear end of the frame being opposite the front end of the frame, the spring clip for engaging a second fixation element in the chassis of the household cooking appliance when the cooking module is pivoted downward about the front end of the frame into a mounted position on the household cooking appliance.

Abstract: An assembly suitable for controlling the temperature of a workpiece operatively engaged thereby is provided. The assembly generally comprises a housing characterized by first and second housing members sealingly united at their peripheries, and a heater cartridge enclosed within the housing and compressively retained interior of the sealingly united peripheries of the housing members. The heater cartridge comprises a heat conducting casing characterized by first and second heat conducting casing members and a composite heating element compressively retained between the heat conducting casing members. The first and second heat conducting casing members are selectively united interior of their peripheries so as to delimit heat conduits for the heater cartridge.

Abstract: A heater supporter for use in a cooking apparatus is provided. The heater supporter may include a clip portion that receives a heater, an extension portion that supports the clip portion, and a hook portion that couples the heater supporter to an installation plane of the heater. The extension portion may include an elastic portion that elastically supports the clip portion and heater therein, and maintains at least a predetermined distance between the heater and the installation plane. The heater supporter may be formed of a single panel to simplify fabrication and reduce cost.

Abstract: The present invention provides a heating coil assembly having metal bracket, a support rail, a heating coil, and a plurality of insulating supports. The metal bracket is attached to a terminal block and the support rail. The heating coil is electrically connected to the terminal block. Each insulating support has a hole to receive the support rail. Each insulating support further has a rigid body and a plurality of slots. Each slot is capable of receiving a portion of a coil turn of the heating coil. Each slot has a generally flat bottom and two inwardly projecting sidewalls. Each inwardly projecting sidewall is defined by a hook edge and ramp edge. The present invention further includes a method of assembling such heating coil assembly.
