  • Patent number: 5708259
Abstract: An output door mechanism for a microwave decomposition machine allows a rotating tank to be coupled to a fixed waveguide with both a vacuum and a microwave seal. The fixed waveguide delivers microwave power to the rotating tank in a decomposition machine. A moveable end cover joins the rotating tank to the fixed waveguide providing the rotating tank with a vacuum and microwave seal during the decomposition of material and discharge of the tank after the decomposition has been completed. The output door mechanism uses a rolling bearing to form a rolling seal, a sliding bearing to form a sliding seal, and a metallic bellows to form a flexible seal. A plunger compresses a spring to seal the end cover to the rotating tank. When the plunger no longer applies compressive force to the spring the end cover separates from the rotating tank to allow discharge of the decomposed material.

  • Patent number: 5698125
Abstract: In a microwave oven in combination with induction heating cooker, a shielding plate is mounted on a bottom surface of a heating chamber and an induction coil is provided below the shielding plate in order to cut off microwave provided when cooking food by microwave and to transmit a high frequency magnetic field generated in an induction heating cooking, to thereby selectively performing induction heating cooking and microwave cooking. The microwave oven includes a shielding plate having a first metal line part where a plurality of metal lines are parallely arranged at regular intervals and a second metal line part where a plurality of metal lines are also parallely arranged at regular intervals being crossed to the first metal line part at a predetermined angle, and an induction coil being disposed below the shielding plate for generating an induction current when power is supplied.

  • Patent number: 5600531
Abstract: A capacitor for the magnetron of a microwave oven is disclosed, in which the structure is relatively simple, so that the material cost would be saved, and that the productivity would be improved. An elliptic opening is formed on a side wall of a shielding case for installing a capacitor. The circumference of the opening is bent to form a projected portion for attaching a capacitor, and a recess is formed on the reverse side of the projected portion. An insulation resin case is formed on the projected portion so as to surround the capacitor by a molding process using an epoxy resin. An insulation cylinder with an upper portion inserted in the recess also can be molded simultaneously with the insulation resin case. Since in replacement of an insulating case and/or insulating cylinder of a conventional capacitor, an insulation resin structure is formed by a molding process, the number of elements is reduced and the assembling process for attaching these elements is eliminated to thereby improve the productivity.

  • Patent number: 5589140
Abstract: A continuous denitration apparatus capable of ensuring mass processing of a nitrate solution of a nuclear fuel and a continuous stable operation. By a rotation of screws, uranium nitrate solution supplied from a liquid feed inlet is continuously conveyed. A trough is divided into a concentration zone, a denitration zone and a drying zone. Microwaves emitted from a microwave incident inlet pass through a microwave permeable part provided in a critical shield plate for covering the upper part of the trough and are applied to the uranium nitrate solution of high concentration and high viscosity, conveyed by the screws. The uranium nitrate solution is denitrated to prepare a denitrated product (uranium trioxide). This denitrated product is dried in the drying zone to obtain powder to be discharged from an outlet.

  • Patent number: 5455405
Abstract: A noise shielding apparatus for the magnetron of a microwave oven is disclosed, in which the structure is relatively simple, so that the material cost would be saved, and that the productivity would be improved. An elliptic opening is formed on a side wall of a shielding case for installing a capacitor. The circumference of the opening is bent to form a projected portion for attaching a capacitor, and a recess is formed on the reverse side of the projected portion. Further, reinforcing ribs are formed around the projected portion of the shielding case. In the present invention, attaching a conventional separate ground fitment is unnecessary, so that the productivity would be improved. Further, since the holes for fastening the ground fitment are not required, the noise is not leaked through the holes.

  • Patent number: 5451752
Abstract: A noise shielding apparatus for the magnetron of a microwave oven for preventing the lowering of the voltage resistance of the capacitor due to the poor concentricity and the poor interfacial state is disclosed. A shielding case has a side wall with an elliptic opening and a projected portion along the elliptic opening by bending out a circumference portion thereof. The capacitor includes an elliptic cylindrical ceramic dielectric, separate electrodes separately formed on an upper surface of the ceramic dielectric and a common electrode formed on a lower surface of the ceramic dielectric. Through conductors pass through the through holes and are connected to a choke coil of the magnetron. Each of through conductors is provided with an electrode connection portion for electrically connecting with the separate electrodes integrally and horizontally formed from around an upper portion of each of through conductors.

  • Patent number: 5442161
Abstract: A partitioning plate having a configuration which can be inserted into a double wall vacuum container from an opening of vacuum container divides the space of the vacuum container into two spaces. One of the spaces which serves as a heating chamber, is opened and closed by a door. The other space, which serves as a mechanical chamber, accommodates electrical parts. A method for fixing the partitioning plate, on which parts have been installed, to the double vacuum container is faciliated by the provision of a device for regulating the position of the partitioning plate.
