The intention is to relieve the sealing of the membrane of loading, wherein the action of force during the filling operation from beneath is advantageous or easily withstandable. For this purpose, the container is provided with the container wall (40), a container opening (2), a lid (10), the membrane (30) and a supporting structure (20). The lid (10) closes the container opening (2). A portion of a membrane collar (31) of the membrane (30) is fastened on a portion of the inner side (41) of the container wall (40), a fastening region (33) therefore being formed. The supporting structure (20) has a supporting portion (21) and a carrying portion (22).

The bioplastic neck can mate with, and be adhered to, the shoulder, and the shoulder can mate with, and be adhered to, the pulp body.

Abstract: Various enhancements of tabbed seals are provided herein with enhanced grasping functionality. Such enhancements include an oversized tab structure for increasing the overall surface area of the tab. In some forms, the tab has been configured such that the overall gripping tab is larger, but a portion thereof is temporarily adhered to the lower laminate, such as during seal and/or cap installation. Instead, the gripping tab includes a small free portion and then a second, temporarily bonded portion that can either release or rupture, permitting the overall grippable portion of the tab to be large.

Abstract: A resealable flap device in the form of a sheet, for applying to or incorporating in packaging, comprises: a base layer 30 of flexible material, and an upper layer 40 of stiff material. The sheet is cut (15) through both layers to outline a flap portion 14, the cut leaving an edge in a hinge region 18, the upper layer being removed behind the line of the hinge region 18. In this way the flexible base layer forms a hinge 18 that is easy to handle and does not spring back, while the stiff upper layer maintains the shape of the flap.

Abstract: A container closure device includes a closure unit with a closure part for opening and re-closing the container opening multiple times, and an operating device with an operating part for actuating the closure part, wherein the operating part is rotatably disposed on the closure part and can be rotated from a locked position into an unlocked position. The operating part includes a first and a second locking portion configured such that, in the locked position, the two locking portions extend beyond the container opening up to an opening limiting region delimiting the container opening, and that, in the unlocked position, at least one of the two locking portions does not extend beyond the container opening up to the opening limiting region delimiting the container opening.

Abstract: Beverages such as beer and soda which contain carbon dioxide or other gases may degrade in quality when subjected to atmospheric pressure, oxygen, and/or light. It may be desirable to store such beverages in containers which prevent exposure to these conditions. An aluminum can is one such container but is associated with the problem of resealing the can after breaking the seal. The described utilities provide for resealing, pressurizing, and/or dispensing from an aluminum can or similar beverage container.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for sealing an opened beverage container is characterized by a removable cover member with an upper, a middle, and a lower portion, the middle portion having a cavity configured to receive a beverage container's tab. When in use, in some embodiments, the present invention may provide that a user may insert a beverage tab into the cavity to removably form a tab/cover member combination. The user may then rotate the tab/cover member combination into position over a beverage container's opening. The user may then press down on the tab/cover member combination and insert the tab/cover member combination into the beverage container's opening, thereby removably sealing the beverage container's opening. If desired, the user may press on a raised edge attached to the present invention's upper portion and dislodge the tab/cover member combination from the beverage container's opening, thereby unsealing the beverage container's opening.

The perforation and undercut allow for a portion of the lid to remain on the lip after the lid has been opened. The portion remaining on the lid may include an outwardly facing adhesive surface, configured to adhere to the lid to reseal the lid to the base once the lid is closed after the initial opening. As such, the lid is permanently adhered to a first portion of the lip and resealably adhered to a second portion of the lip. The first portion may be an outer lip portion and the second portion may be an inner lip portion.

The container opening is encircled by a rim and the membrane covers the opening such that the membrane extends radially onto an outer surface of the rim. The two inside surfaces of the skirt are dimensionally sized to create an interference-fit with the rim when the overcap is connected to the container when the membrane is either attached or removed. The inner seal includes a laminate having a reinforcing layer and a sheet of a conducting material, to the lower surface of which is applied a heat-sealing film. The temporary adhesive is applied to the whole surface of the inner seal once the pull-tab is folded back. The seal is characterized in that the laminate has over its entire thickness a notch from which the pull-tab emerges, and a fold line formed by the pull-tab once the pull-tab is folded back, the fold line having a shorter length than the length of the notch. Methods of producing the seal are also disclosed.

A pair of radially spaced concentric lines of weakness are formed in the laminate, an outer one of the lines of weakness being formed in the upper layer and an inner one of the lines of weakness being formed in the lower layer. The upper and lower layers in an annular region between the lines of weakness are readily peeled apart. The upper and lower layers outside the annular region are laminated together with an adhesive providing a bond with a greater peel strength than that required to separate the layers in the annular region.
