Abstract: A storage container assembly includes a container and a lid. The lid includes a top lid, a button, a gasket, a gasket pusher, and an arm. The button is moveable in a first axial direction between a projected position in which a top surface of the button is offset from an upper surface of the lid and a depressed position in which the top surface of the button is nearer to the upper surface. The gasket is moveable between a contracted state and an expanded state. The gasket pusher is moveable in a second axial direction, which is transverse to the first axial direction, and pushes the gasket. The arm operatively connects the button with the gasket pusher. Movement of the button from the projected position toward the depressed position results in pivotal movement of the arm and moves the gasket pusher in the second axial direction.

The second enclosure includes a second flange and a second door. The method includes performing sequentially the steps of arranging the second flange on the first flange, axially maintaining the second flange on the first flange by snap-fitting, securing the first flange to the second flange, securing the first door to the second door, releasing the first door from the first flange, releasing the second door from the second flange, opening the first door relative to the first flange, closing the first door relative to the first flange, securing the first door to the first flange and securing the second door to the second flange, unlocking the first door from the second door, and separating the first door from the second door.

Abstract: A portable securing apparatus which is readily secured to a manway of a vessel having a portal intended to enable entry of service personnel into the vessel is described. The securing apparatus affords an improved grip to assist service personnel to enter the vessel. The securing apparatus is for temporary mounting to the manway. The securing apparatus includes a mounting plate mountable to a flange conventionally provided as part of the manway, and a handle for accommodating manual grasp of the securing apparatus.

Abstract: A beverage server having a cap and a server body. The server body includes an open top container having a handle, a chamber, a pour spout, and a cap receiving portion defining a top opening. The cap is rotatably positionable within the top opening between an on-off configuration, a closed configuration, and a pour configuration. The cap has an outer facing portion and a lip, and the cap receiving portion has an inner facing portion adjacent to a top rim. Surfaces on the cap that would otherwise engage the rim and surfaces of the cap receiving portion, are cutaway to create recesses in such surfaces, which together with the top rim and surfaces of the cap receiving portion define an air vent which allows air to pass into the chamber when beverage is dispensed from the chamber via the spout when the cap is in the pour configuration.

Abstract: A product package can have a tray and a combination flexible/rigid lid design. The design can include a rigid or semi-rigid frame and a flexible film that is transparent or translucent. The film can be fixedly attached to the frame and releasably attached to the package tray. The product package can (a) maintain a seal until opened by a consumer, (b) enable a consumer to view the product through the lid, (c) be opened with a single step, and/or (d) be resealed and reused.

Abstract: A container for collecting a biological specimen is provided that includes a peripheral wall extending from a base. The container further includes a longitudinal tower disposed within the container. The tower forms a partition within the container to form at least a first chamber and a second chamber therein, wherein the first and second chambers are in fluid communication with one another. In addition, the container include an insert disposed within the container opposite the base, the insert comprising at least a first opening and a second opening. The second opening provides access to the second chamber and is further configured to engage a specimen collecting device to leave a portion of the specimen collecting device within the second chamber. The first opening provides access to the first chamber and is further configured to receive a syringe therein for accessing the biological specimen. Associated systems and methods are also provided.

The overcap has an annular skirt extending along a longitudinal axis for coupling the closure to a container, and an overcap web extending continuously radially inwardly from the annular skirt. A lid web extends radially inwardly from the annular rim, and has at least one vent therethrough, and is coupled to the overcap around the vent.

Abstract: A child-resistant container including a bottle having an annular flange associated therewith, an intermediate member selectively engageable with the bottle and having an annular flange associated therewith, and an outer lid selectively engageable with both the intermediate member and the bottle, the outer lid including a plurality of lower projections for selectively engaging the annular flange of the intermediate member when the outer lid is engaged therewith and for selectively engaging the annular flange of the bottle when the intermediate member is removed from the bottle and the outer lid is engaged with the bottle. Removal of the intermediate member from the bottle allows the plurality of lower projections associated with the outer lid to engage the annular flange associated with the bottle thereby activating the child-resistant locking mechanism.

The lid has a receiving feature which is engaged by a latch on the protective sleeve when the latch is moved from an open position to a locked position.

A removable plate and a base define a maximum volume available for material when the container is sealed. A screen may be disposed between the plate and the base. The screen may optionally be comprised within the base, adhered to the base, or removable from the base. Features for enabling manipulation of the plate and/or screen are optionally provided.

The combination structure includes: a viewing cover having a combining slot, which has a uniform depth and extends along a periphery of a surface of a viewing cover body, and an engaging flange extending outward at a position above the combining slot; and a frame member including a plurality of locking wings connected to a frame member body via a living hinge, a wall portion extending upward from the living hinge by a predetermined height, and an engaging hook provided on an inner surface of the wall portion. Abstract: A universal adapter assembly system for container bottles using existing dispensing pumps or existing bottle caps includes a plurality of adapter members. Each adapter member is sized to receive and couple to a container bottle having a different sized bottle neck from which the dispensing pump or bottle cap is removed. The system also has a base member with a body sized to fit and releasably couple to each of the plurality of adapter members. The base member has a cap movable between an open position and a closed position relative to the base member body, the cap having an outer portion configured to support the container bottle in an upside down orientation on a supporting surface.

The closure has sidewalls and the upper portion of the closure is open, with at least one rib positioned a spaced distance above the plane of the liner. When in place on a container, the rib serves to limit the travel of the liner upward as it expands after the hot-fill of a product. The open upper portion of the closure permits any accumulated moisture to be blown off after the hot-fill is cooled.

Abstract: An overcap is provided for use in sealing a container of the type having an outer rim, an inside wall surface, and an inner rim spaced inwardly from the inside wall surface, with the inner rim forming a container opening. A flexing portion is formed within the body portion of the overcap and is moveable between a first sealing position and a second sealing position. The flexing portion includes a downwardly depending wall member positioned adjacent the inside wall surface of the container in the first sealing position. A sealing plug is provided and is moveable between the first sealing position and the second sealing position. The sealing plug includes a peripheral surface dimension for frictional engagement with the inner rim, releasably closing of the opening in the second sealing position. The sealing plug is separated from the inner rim in the first sealing position.

Abstract: A container for a food product including a tamper-evident closure which forms an opening of a container. The closure comprises a sealing layer, adhesively sealed to the top of the container around the opening. The sealing layer is releasable from the container by pulling back on the sealing layer and resealable against the top layer to seal the opening when the sealing layer is moved back against the top. The tamper-evident feature comprises a portion of the top adjacent the opening and covered by the sealing layer, which extends from a position spaced from, and extends towards and terminates at the opening of the container. A portion of the tamper-evident feature falls into the container after the sealing layer has been pulled back for a first time to thereby indicate that the container has been previously opened.

A flange of the lower container main body and a flange of the upper container main body are engaged with each other so that the lower container and the upper container are combined integrally. Abstract: A fuel tank closure assembly includes an inner cap and an outer cover. The inner cap has a cylindrical side wall and multiple protrusions extending outward from the cylindrical side wall. The protrusions have a height less than a height of the cylindrical side wall. The outer cover has a cylindrical side wall with an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the inner cap. The cylindrical side wall has multiple openings and multiple hollows. The openings and the hollows in the outer cover each receive one of the protrusions to secure the cover to the cap and rotatably lock the cover and the cap together.

Abstract: A disposable pest entry barrier and open bottle cover is constructed in various shapes, such as conical or cylindrical, having a sidewall, a closed end and an opposite open end. The bottle cover is formed from a disposable material, such as cardboard or plastic. The bottle cover is coated or sprayed with a solution consisting primarily of lemongrass essential oil. This oil solution acts as a natural repellent and deters fruit flies and other contaminating pests from entering the open end of a bottle on which the bottle cover is placed.

Abstract: A stopper for plugging a developer filling port includes a stopper main body and a lock member engageable with the stopper main body. The lock member has a rigidity greater than that of the stopper main body, the lock member engaged with the stopper main body serves to restrict deformation of the stopper main body. A developing device for use in an image forming apparatus includes the stopper configured as described above to be fitted to its developer filling port.

The lid is selectively couplable to the beverage container and includes a selectively openable stopper that when closed, creates a fluid-tight seal between the beverage container and the environment. The stopper is subsequently automatically closed when the user releases the button. Thus, the user may open and close the beverage container closure using a single hand without the need to remove the beverage container closure from the beverage container. The beverage container closure includes a venting mechanism configured to vent the beverage container before the stopper is opened when the user depresses the button, thereby allowing pressure in the beverage container to equalize before the stopper is opened.

In this design, overlapped fixed and movable trough plates having opposite discharging porous faces are arranged at a filling port of a jar body. Long and short arc grooves are disposed oppositely at an external perimeter of the porous face of the fixed trough plate, wherein an elastic member is disposed in each long arc groove. Convex inserted columns are inserted at the bottom of the movable trough plate corresponding to the positions of the long and short arc grooves, so as to form a rotation control guide. Convex points are preset on a top-edge ring plate of the movable trough plate, so that when a jar cover is locked, the discharging is closed by dislocation and disconnection of the porous faces as the cover body rotates.
