Said latch device (4) is adapted so that by turning, it engages with the lid (2) and fixes the lid in its closed position. The latch device (4) and the handle (3) have interacting cam means (22 and 23), which effect turning of the latch device (4) into the locked position when the handle (3) is turned to flipped-up position.

An anti-rotation groove is defined in a sidewall of each receiving cavity. The handle includes a holding portion and two support portions extending from opposite ends of the holding portion. A latch protrusion is formed on each support portion. The latch protrusions are substantially cylindrical and two flat resisting surfaces are formed on each latch protrusion. Each latch protrusion is movably received in one corresponding receiving cavity and able to slide from the corresponding receiving cavity into the corresponding anti-rotation groove so that the resisting surfaces of the latch protrusions resist sidewalls of the anti-rotation grooves, such that the handle supports the main body.

As a result, the container holder 15 can be mounted and removed to and from the holder main body 16 in the tilted state at the time of a container replacing operation, which allows high operability to be maintained even in handling a large-capacity container having a great height dimension.

The can body has a locking collar welded thereto and a locking ring fastened to the lid removably mounted within the locking collar. A U-shaped handle is pivoted on the locking ring for rotating the locking ring to lock the lid to the locking collar and thus to the can body, the U-shaped handle being further used to lift the storage container. A spring biased locking pin with a thumb operated tab is coaxial with one pintle of the U-shaped handle, the tab being squeezed toward the handle by the operators thumb to unlock the pin against the bias of a coil spring so as to allow the locking ring to rotate to an unlocked position when it is desired to remove the lid from the can body.

The gasket is positioned between the lid and the heating vessel of the slow cooker. The handle is hingedly attached to the slow cooker and has a lowered position and a raised position. The latch is hingedly attached to the heating vessel, and has a locked position and an unlocked position. When the handle is in the lowered position, the latch is in the unlocked position and the lid is removable from the heating vessel. Tracks are disposed on the vacuum distillation apparatus in a position to engage the wheels and raise the lid vertically above a manhole of the vacuum distillation apparatus upon pivotal movement of the lid, which is initiated by nominal physical exertion of a single operator. Extending outwardly from and adjacent the manhole is a flange. The flange has a channel to receive a gasket. A protrusion extends outwardly from a bottom of the lid in a position to extend into the channel and sealably engage the gasket when the wheels disengage the tracts. Clamp assemblies are provided to releasably engage the lid with the flange and draw the protrusion into sealable, releasable engagement with the gasket.

The unit includes a filter housing assembly having a filter tank assembly and a closure which utilizes a handle and cammed reciprocating lock blades to secure the closure to the filter tank assembly. A UV tank assembly includes a planar baffle plate and a vaned baffle plate to induce plug flow about a UV lamp assembly. A UV lamp assembly is used which simultaneously electrically and sealingly mounts to a UV tank assembly and electrical cap assembly using a bayonet mount. A bi-planar manifold assembly is used to interconnect components of the WTS unit and to provide an envelope for accommodating a water pipe assembly. The bi-planar manifold assembly enhances the compactness of the design of the WTS unit. Also, a support plate is disclosed which provides support to subcomponents of the WTS unit while also dissipating heat from a UV tank assembly.

Abstract: A fishing bait bucket having an outer shell, an inner bait receiving chamber, a cooling chamber for receiving ice or the like, a main lid covering the outer container with an access lid for accessing only the bait chamber and a carrying handle moveable between latched an unlatched positions to selectively attach and detach the main lid from the outer container.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved system and method for carrying and securing the lid of a container, such as a surgical sterilization tray. A tray is provided with rotating wire bail handles and at least two studs. The cover for the tray has a keyway and cutout which can be engaged with the studs when the lid is placed onto the case. Inadvertent disengagement of the keyway or cutout from the studs is prevented by the interaction of the handles with the lid. The lid is provided with slots and end panels which become mechanically associated with the handles when the handles are rotated to any of a variety of lid-securing positions. The association of the handles with the lid prevents any relative sliding motion of the lid and case which would allow disengagement of the keyway or cutout and the studs, until the handles are rotated to any of a variety of non-lid-securing positions. The system combines the handle and lid-securing functions in a very low part-count design with very few moving parts.

Abstract: Opening/closing safety device to be mounted on a bayonet pan, consisting of a body (1) to which a side handle is attached (11), and a lid (2) to which an upper body is attached (3), which consists of a lever (4) which, when it is in its initial position, guarantees that there is no pressure inside the pan and which, when it is locked (pressure cooker), prevents the pan from opening.

Abstract: A rotary latch for a clamshell housing with truncated circular upper and lower lugs, that can if desired, be made in a single plastic molding and rotatably attached to the housing without any rivets, pins or screws. The upper lug has an arcuate extent of more than 180 degrees and the lower lug has an arcuate extent coaxial with the upper lug but less than 180 degrees. The latch is an annular plastic body that is deformed to snap over and rotatably mount on the upper lug, effected by an annular recess in the body that extends 360 degrees inside around the body so as the body rotates on the upper lug, it never loses contact over any portion thereof. The lower lug is axially offset from the upper lug and the latch body has a latch cup portion that scoops and aligns the lower lug with the upper lug in three orthogonal coordinates. The latch cup portion is also axially offset from the upper lug so it can pass behind the upper lug as the latch body is rotated from a latch position to a release position.
