Abstract: A transportable pastry container comprises a modular system of portable containers which comprises a lid portion and a storage portion. The lid portion comprises a flat, rectangular lid with a handle located centrally on a top surface. The storage portion comprises a rectangular bottom surface of as well as integral side walls which extend perpendicularly upward from the sides of the bottom surface. The top edges of the side walls further comprise a plurality of fasteners which extend above the top of the walls. The bottom edges of the side walls and the sides of the lid portion are further comprised of corresponding fasteners which selectively attach or detach the lid portion to the top of a storage portion. In a preferred embodiment, one (1) side wall of each storage portion further comprises a hinged door for selective accessibility.

The paperboard is configured to bring the two plastic components into registration when the panels are folded together along the hinge. The plastic components may be configured to releasably interlock when the package is closed. A first panel is configured to retain the wiper blade in a substantially straight configuration within a cavity formed in the panel, and the second panel is pivotally connected by the living hinge to be disposed in either a closed or an open position with the first panel. The first panel preferably includes a first channel having a first bottom wall and a second channel disposed in the first bottom wall and in communication with the first channel. The first panel preferably also includes retention fingers to positively retain the wiper blade and recessed sidewall portions to facilitate insertion and extraction of the wiper blade into the first panel.

A novel latching system with a split insertion clement on a first latch side and unitary receptor element on a second latch side is also disclosed. The latch mechanism is pivotally connected to the top. It engages a molded contoured segment on the bottom to secure the container in a closed position. Anomalies on the top surface of the latch mechanism provide a convenience to the user in locating pressure points for opening and closing the container. A separator can be used internal to the container to create two separate compartments. In one adaptation the interior surface can include raised protrusions which permit contents such as a soap bar to be raised off from the surface. Other modifications too the interior can be effected to accommodate a wide variety of products. The containers can be provided in a grouping with relative dimensions suitable to store a wide variety of personal effects.

The metal lid and metal bottom have generally matching formed edges preventing interfitting of the container lid and bottom. The hinged connector is formed of plastic and includes a pair of ring members that are pivotable relative to one another via an integral hinge. The two ring members are continuous about a periphery that is generally shaped to the periphery of the lid and bottom. The ring members form seats for engaging the formed edges of the lid and bottom. The ring members securely grip the formed edges of the lid and body to form the container. By connecting the lid and bottom through the living hinge, the hinge connector allows the lid and bottom to pivot relative to one another between open and closed positions.

Thus, embodiments of the present invention may allow at least one of first and second portions of the package assembly to flex about the flexure axis in response to an opening force exerted on the package assembly such that the first and second portions separate in response to the opening force.

The inferior part (3) has a cut line (7) to allow its division in two parts (3A and 3B). When joined, the superior and inferior housings form a similar contour of a sandwich.

Abstract: A clam-shell container comprising a cover hingedly connected to a tray, with both the cover and tray having cooperating structures that form a leak-proof seal when the clam-shell container is closed. The container and cooperating structures are formed such that the user can effect the formation of the leak-proof seal in a single step. The creation of the leak-proof seal preferably corresponds to the closing of the clam-shell container.

The upper surface is angled toward the lower surface and the end surfaces are substantially flat. The upper surface and the inwardly extending lip are constructed and arranged with respect to each other so that when the detent is pressed into the tab the inwardly extending lip will snap into position beneath the upper surface and interlock with it to lock the lid and base.
