  • Patent number: 8322567
Abstract: A container useful for singly dispensing a tablet includes a leaf integrally formed with the sidewall and projecting generally radially inward to a distal portion. One or more such leaves define a dispensing opening having a smaller diameter than the mouth of the container. The leaves or other undercut structure can be formed using a mold element having a leading portion for forming a portion of the part beyond the resilient projection and a following portion for forming a portion of the sidewall short of the resilient projection. The following portion is withdrawn at least partially away from the outside surface of the resilient projection, leaving a space between the leading and following portions. The leading portion is withdrawn from the mold cavity against an undercut portion of the resilient projection, folding the resilient projection into the space left by retracting the following portion.

  • Patent number: 7568589
Abstract: A food container formed from plastic, can be loaded with food and then closed by a clerk, and thereafter cannot be opened without tearing apart first sides (24, 26) of the base (12) and lid (16). The container is formed by a single sheet of plastic that forms a base and lid with second sides (20, 22) that are latched together and with adjacent first sides that are joined by a joint line (30) in the plastic that is creased and that has slits (40). At the joint line, the lid has a projecting lid tab (32) and the base has a projecting base tab (36). A person grasps both tabs, and lifts only the lid tab to tear apart the first sides of the base and lid along the joint line (30). Thereafter, the lid can be easily closed and reopened on the base.

  • Patent number: 7434684
Abstract: A broad head cover device for encasing a broad head to protect the broad head during storage and transport includes a pair of clamshell portions being positionable around the broad head to enclose the broad head between the clamshell portions. The clamshell portions inhibit contact with the broad head when the clamshell portions are positioned around the broad head. One of the clamshell portions is hingedly coupled to the other one of the clamshell portions to permit pivoting of the clamshell portions between a closed position and an open position. A latching assembly includes a first mating portion and a second mating portion. The first mating portion is coupled to one of the clamshell portions and the second mating portion is coupled to the other one of the clamshell portions. • Publication number: 20080023472
Abstract: A container of the clamshell type, with an upper and lower shell, the lower shell having a footing and the upper shell having a platform. The clamshell container is especially useful in the packaging of peento types of peaches and nectarines, or also with conventionally shaped peaches and nectarines. The shells are separated at a plane, the plane of separation plane directed at approximately a forty-five degree angle relative to the footing plane. With the separation plane oriented at close to a forty-five degree angle off the footing plane, or an angled shell separation, the lip surface extending from the container does not interfere with neighboring containers, stacked above, below or in a single layer. Each container's footing rests on the platform of the container below, without contacting the lip surface, hinge or handle of a neighboring container. This feature provides display advantages, and a closer stacking of clam shell type containers.
