Abstract: A waste container includes a top chamber, a base chamber, upper and lower lids, and a drive mechanism mechanically coupling the lower lid with the upper lid. The upper lid is disposed on the top chamber and moves between a closed position covering a first opening and an open position exposing the first opening. The lower lid is disposed on the base chamber and moves between a closed position covering a second opening and an open position exposing the second opening. The drive mechanism is actuated so as to move the lower lid to the open position when the upper lid moves to the closed position from the open position. The lower lid returns to the closed position when the upper lid is in the closed position.

Abstract: A waste disposal device comprises a container having a top opening. The container provides access to an inner cavity that receives a bag with opened and closed ends. A pivoting lid closes/opens access to the opening. An actuation mechanism has a user-actuated interface. A linkage connected to the interface opens/closes the lid. A pair of jaws is connected to the linkage. The jaws move between a clamped position, in which the jaws close off a portion of the bag, and an opened position, in which the jaws are separated to allow waste to reach the closed end. The jaws and the lid are actuated concurrently by a single degree of actuation on the interface, allowing the lid to open and close while the jaws move from the clamped to the opened position, and back to the clamped position. A method for disposal of a waste object is also provided.

Abstract: A trash receptacle apparatus comprising a first vertical pole, a second vertical pole, a third vertical pole, a fourth vertical pole, a first top bar, a second top bar, a third top bar, a fourth top bar, a first roller pole, a second roller pole, a third roller pole, a fourth roller pole, and a base wherein the poles and base altogether form a frame; a housing for temporarily enclosing the frame; and a plurality of wheel disposed on the bottom panel; wherein a trash bag can be folded over the top poles; wherein a user can pull the trash bag out of the trash receptacle apparatus through the frame without having to lift the trash bag above the trash receptacle apparatus.

Abstract: A waste can comprises a receptacle having a rim with at least one bag lock located on the rim. The bag lock has a first portion defining a cavity and a second portion movable with respect to the first portion between a first position where it is locked to the first portion and a second position where it is spaced from the first portion. The second portion locks a trash bag in the cavity when in the first position.

Abstract: A garbage bin in which, when the opening of a container in which garbage is placed is closed by a lid, odor emanating from the garbage does not leak to the outside from a gap between the container and the lid. The garbage bin includes an outer container, an inner container placed inside the outer container and in which garbage is placed, an openable/closable outer lid pivotally attached to the outer container and closing the opening of the outer container, and an inner lid attached to the lower surface of the outer lid and moving together with the outer lid. The lower surface of the inner lid is in intimate contact with the upper end of the inner container when the opening of the outer container is closed by the outer lid.

Abstract: A trashcan includes a trash bag that has a top end that defines a mouth and a body having a surrounding wall and a top edge that defines a mouth. A bag engaging portion is formed in the surrounding wall proximate the top edge of the body. The bag engaging portion is at least substantially aligned with a surface of said surrounding wall. A portion of the trash bag is inserted through the bag engaging portion of the body. The bag engaging portion includes a plurality of at least four fingers extending away from a center of the bag engaging portion, and the fingers do not include pointed ends all converging toward a common point.

Abstract: An apparatus for securing a trash bag in a container is disclosed, where the apparatus has a removable and replaceable scented bag retaining element which extends outwardly from the main body of the apparatus. The main body has a pair of spaced channel arms that receive, guide and support the retaining element in proper position against the main body, and the replaceable scented retaining element has a releasable locking tab which is received by and locks within a slot in the main body of the apparatus. A central membrane of the retaining element has a number of slits that form a number of flexible flaps which deform when pressed to received and retain the trash bag. The main body is adhesively mountable to the outer surface of the container.

Abstract: A portable yard waste bag system that includes a bag holding accessory that attaches to the front top edge of a wheelbarrow that temporarily holds a yard waste bag in an opened position in the bucket. The accessory includes a top ring with a pendent skirt with a plurality of longitudinally aligned slits that divide the skirt into a plurality of radially aligned leaves. The lower edges of the leaves on the skirts formed along the top ring's front 180 degree arc connected to first strap that curves around and connects to the front top edge of a wheelbarrow. The lower edges of the leaves extend downward from the top ring's rear 180 degree arc and connect to a second strap that curves upward and extends transversely over the bucket. When assembled on the wheelbarrow, the front strap engages the front edge while the top ring is held in a forward extending, diagonally position directly over the wheel.

Abstract: A recycling center receivable on a supporting surface is provided. The recycling center includes first and second sidewalls. Each sidewall has a forward edge, a rearward edge, an upper edge and an inner surface such that the inner surfaces of the sidewalls define a recycle receiving chamber. A bag slide slidably is mounted within recycle receiving chamber. The bag slide is movable between a first retracted position wherein the bag slide is received within the recycle receiving chamber and an extended position wherein at least a portion of the bag slide projects from the recycle receiving chamber. A first bag retainer is pivotably mounted to the bag slide for receiving a first portion of upper end of a first bag thereon. The first bag retainer is pivotable between a first position and a second retaining position for supporting the first bag in an open configuration.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a receptacle (1) and a waste bag (10) with a mouth (11) therein. Receptacle (1) has a housing (2) having an open face (4), and support means (3, 12) to support the bag mouth (11) adjacent the housing open face (4). A housing projection (6) is adapted to move from a first position way from a bag in the housing to a second position where the projection deforms a bag in the housing below the bag mouth whereby the bag has a reduced waist portion. In use with the projection (6) in the second position the projection helps to prevent the contents in the bottom of the bag being accessed, and the projection (6) is moved to the first position when the bag is removed from the receptacle (1).

Abstract: A method for easy holding of a trash bag in a container: It consists of at least one retainer set and a container having an open end. Each retainer set consists of at least two magnetically coupled pieces which can engage or disengage with each other, with one of the two pieces attached rigidly to an outside portion of the container. Place a portion of a trash bag inside the container with the outside portion of the trash bag folded down along the trash can wall. Engage the two magnetically coupled pieces to fold part of the trash bag around them. The folding(s) reduces the force needed to hold the trash bag in place at the coupling portion of the two retainer pieces. The apparatus can be easily operated with one hand.

Abstract: A collapsible liner for use in a canister of a medical fluid collection system is disclosed. The liner includes a flexible bag extending longitudinally between a top portion opposite a closed bottom portion, and at least one support element connected to the bag and disposed generally laterally relative to a length of the bag. When an interior of the bag is subjected to a vacuum, the at least one support element limits an extent of lateral collapse while permitting longitudinal collapse.

Abstract: A laterally expandable receptacle wherein a greater volume of items, such as trash, linen, laundry, recyclables, grain, and the like, may be contained as compared to conventional receptacles. Side walls and/or corners of the receptacle may comprise resilient expansion means allowing for beneficial lateral displacement. The resilient expansion means may be selected from a variety of structures including, at least one pleat, an accordion configuration, at least one slit, at least one aperture, an expandable material, an expandable material covering at least one aperture, flexible cords, and all legal equivalents thereof. The receptacle of the present invention may further comprise a pressure release means to eliminate a vacuum seal from forming between the receptacle and an optional replaceable liner therein. The receptacle of the present invention may still further comprise a stabilization means for providing a necessary stabilizing force against the receptacle during liner removal.

Abstract: A shredding/recycling paper collection system and device, wherein a cabinet-style housing with a self-locking door is adapted with a paper guard member to prevent unauthorized reach-in access and assist with directional feed, and wherein the door-mounted paper guard member and the uniquely supported collection bag hangers facilitate easy authorized access to collection bag contents, while also providing secure positioning for weighty materials within the housing.

Abstract: A refuse receptacle includes an outer enclosure having an upper frame member with an opening through which refuse can be deposited into the outer enclosure, and a cover movably mounted on the upper frame member between a position normally closing the opening and a position which permits refuse to be deposited through the opening into the outer enclosure. A tubular refuse holder is mounted on a spring plate in the outer enclosure, the refuse holder including an upper open end for receiving refuse deposited through the opening. A plurality of coil springs are provided between the spring plate and a ledge in the enclosure to bias the refuse holder toward the upper frame member such that there is engagement of the upper open end of the refuse holder against the upper frame member to provide a seal thereat.

Abstract: An apparatus for securing a trash bag in a container is disclosed, where the apparatus has a removable and replaceable scented bag retaining element which extends outwardly from the main body of the apparatus. The main body being a container with chopped-head-cone in shape furnishes a plurality of recess portions at equal spaces at the bottom edge thereof and a fastening part inside and at the bottom thereof. The fastening part further includes an opening, a first flange, a second flange, and a sliding track. A neck part being formed at the top open end of the container has a plurality of perforations. The bearing seat, being a member capable of slipping in a roll of trash bag further includes a first wrapping part, a second wrapping part, a slot part, a first supporting end, and a second supporting end. The slipped-on cap being a wrapping member is capable of slipping on the neck part.

Abstract: A materials handling apparatus for aiding in loading and transporting various materials has three major components, a wheeled cart, a truncated conical cylinder which is carried by the cart and a compaction lid which. provide the apparatus with the capability of being operated in three different modes. In the first mode, a conventional trash bag is placed inside the cylinder and the lid can be placed atop the cylinder. In this mode, the apparatus operates as a conventional trash can. In a second mode, the cylinder in placed within a trash bag to protect it from being damaged by materials such as tree and shrub clippings or other materials which could tear the bag. In the third mode no trash bag is used, the materials are loaded into the cylinder, and when loading is complete, the cylinder is lifted off of the materials for direct deposit into a disposal site.

Abstract: A removable stowage device having a flexible bag, a frame, and a first mounting element that can be inserted and attached to a receptacle and a second mounting element within a vehicle cockpit providing an easily accessible stowage area that functions to provide stowage space, and to secure and reduce the jostling or shifting of personal items, food and liquids, by a person or the motions of a moving vehicle.

Abstract: Mechanisms, components, kits, combinations, and methods of securing shredder bags to shredder baskets that allows at least a portion of a top edge of a shredder basket to not be overlapped by a shredder bag. One preferred embodiment of a bag securing component may include a plurality of securing components each having lateral sides, the plurality of securing components may be detachably engaged in a side-by-side fashion to form a one piece member that may be reducible in length.

Abstract: A wastebasket has one or more openings on one or more sides thereof. The openings extending from near the top of the wastebasket and terminate near the bottom of the wastebasket. The one or more openings allow a part of the wastebasket on either side of each opening to move outwardly under the pressure of being stuffed, and particularly when overstuffed by pushing the trash down in the plastic bag to create more room at the top of the wastebasket. The lower end of the one or more openings relieves an air pressure differential between an installed trash bag and the wastebasket with just a little movement upward of the trash bag.

Abstract: A reusable biohazard waste container is configured such that the container can be transported without requiring any additional packaging elements. A lid is pivotally connected to the container and is movable between an open position and a closed position. A latch secures the lid to the container when in the closed position such that the container is capable of holding liquids.

Abstract: A trash bag holder detachably mounted on a wall having capability to be used in sweeping debris. The device is assembled from a flexible rod handle, end caps, a bag holder base, rod handle clips, and trash bag holder brackets. When fully assembled the trash bag holder maintains a trash bag in an open position. Rod handle clips maintain the trash bag onto trash bag holder brackets. The trash bag holder brackets may be selectively clipped together and attached to the base to form a unitary assembly. A sloped area on the base allows the unit to be used as a scoop to facilitate the cleanup of debris while the base also allows the unit to be removably attached to a wall or door where it maintain a trash bag in a vertical open position without the need for a rigid container.

Abstract: A diaper pail includes a pail, an upper enclosure having a substantially smooth and continuous outer surface, and a drum assembly mounted within the upper enclosure for transferring a soiled diaper into a disposal bag while minimizing the release of odor from previously disposed diapers already within the disposal bag. The outer surface of the upper enclosure and drum cooperate to form a smooth continuous outer surface which is easily cleaned. The drum assembly includes a flexible plastic seal received around an opening in the lower portion of the drum housing. A deck portion of the seal engages an outer surface of the drum, with the free edge of the flexible seal being movable relative to fixed edge to conform to irregularities in the outer surface of the drum. An actuator handle actuates movement of the drum.

Each sidewall has a forward edge, a rearward edge, an upper edge and an inner surface such that the inner surfaces of the sidewalls define a recycle receiving chamber. A bag slide slidably is mounted within recycle receiving chamber. The bag slide is movable between a first retracted position wherein the bag slide is received within the recycle receiving chamber and an extended position wherein at least a portion of the bag slide projects from the recycle receiving chamber. A first bag retainer is pivotably mounted to the bag slide for receiving a first portion of upper end of a first bag thereon. The first bag retainer is pivotable between a first position and a second retaining position for supporting the first bag in an open configuration.

Abstract: A device that assists with the collection of leaves or debris by holding a garbage bag completely open so a user does not need to awkwardly bend down and hold open a bag while raking leaves into it. Thus, the user has both hands free to hold and use a rake or broom to sweep leaves or debris into the open bag. The bag is affixed to a frame with spring biased clips mounted in top and bottom structure of a bag receptive frame, the clips being received in cavities in the top and bottom structure so that the clips in a closed position thereof are flush with top and bottom structure surfaces adjacent thereto providing uniform surface for each of the top and bottom structure.

Abstract: A corrugated bulk container for shipping, storing and dispensing liquids and semi-liquid fluids. The container is a laminated triple wall open-ended tube having side walls and end walls, and a bag assembly is supported in the tube for containing the liquid or semi-liquid fluid. The bag assembly includes a bag having a fill valve and a dispensing valve attached to it, a bag cassette to which a bottom end of the bag is attached, and a fill valve support plate to which a top end of the bag is attached. The bag cassette has structure to receive and hold the dispensing valve in position relative to a dispensing valve opening in the tube, and the fill valve support plate has structure to receive and support the fill valve. The container is attached to a pallet by severable structure, and the fill valve support plate is attached to the tube by severable structure so that the bag assembly can be removed from the container, for easy collapse of the container for disposal or recycling.

Abstract: A liner mounting system for receptacles such as wastebaskets allows a flexible liner to be supported within the receptacle without having a portion of the liner draped over the receptacle rim. A liner support is positioned on the inner sidewall of the receptacle near the rim and a support arm engages the liner. In one version the liner support is an integral part of the receptacle. In another version the liner support is attached to a rod which is adjustably supported within the receptacle. A selected number of rods can be sued to adapt the system to the size and configuration of the receptacle. A series of mounting apertures may be formed in the liner to allow the liner to be suspended from the support arm. In another version the liner support is a clamp which accepts a portion of the liner.

Abstract: A holder for a bag. The holder comprises a stand or trash can and chute elements rotatably engaged to the stand or trash can. The chute elements are for opening the bag when frictionally engaging interior surfaces of the bag. The chute elements comprise a first pair and a second pair of chute elements. Each of the first pair of chute elements have stop elements for limiting rotation on the stand or trash can of each of the second pair of chute elements, when each of the first pair of chute elements has engaged sides of the bag in the holder.

Abstract: An apparatus for collecting insects, kitchen waste, dust or similar waste material, comprising a holding frame (1) in which a collecting bag (4) is received which has a cord (8), such that the bag can be closed by pulling the cord. An opening is provided in the frame, to lead the cord out towards the outside of the frame. The outside of the free edge area of the bag is fastened to the inside of the holding frame by means of at least one fastening device (13, 14), such that the fastening can be detached by pulling together the free edge of the bag while pulling the cord section led out of the same. The invention further relates to a collecting bag (4) which is provided with a cord (8) for pulling together the bag opening and with a fastening device (13, 14) for fastening in the frame (1).

Abstract: A fastener for releasably securing a flexible trash bag type liner about the outer upper peripheral rim of a supporting receptacle has an elongated body with a first leg and an interconnected second leg defining a space there-between. An axially movable rotation handle carried at one end portion of the body facilitates rotating the body axially to wind an excess portion of an edge portion of the flexible trash bag type liner about the body and prevents the unwinding of the excess portion of the liner from the body.

Abstract: A trashcan includes a container having a base and a peripheral wall extending upwardly from the base forming an interior space for receipt of a trash bag therein; and a trash bag retention member disposed on the peripheral wall, the retention member defining a passageway into the interior space of the container and comprising a plurality of resilient, flexible fingers configured to receive and retain therebetween a portion of a trash bag. Each finger includes a portion thereof that extends away from the peripheral wall. Each finger is “bent” and extends away from the peripheral wall. A finger may extend away from the peripheral wall on the exterior of the container, away from the peripheral wall on the interior of the container, or both. A method of making the trashcan includes injection molding the container and the retention member separately or, alternatively, together.

Abstract: A recycling center receivable on a supporting surface is provided. The recycling center includes first and second sidewalls. Each sidewall has a forward edge, a rearward edge, an upper edge and an inner surface such that the inner surfaces of the sidewalls define a recycle receiving chamber. A lid extends between the upper edges of the first and second sidewalls. The lid has an aperture therethrough. A door is pivotably connected to the forward edge of the first sidewall. The door is movable between a first closed position and a second open position allowing access to the recycle receiving chamber. The door includes a transparent portion to allow an individual to view the recycle receiving chamber therethrough.

Abstract: A packaging container comprises an openable outer case and a bag for packaging a resin material in the outer case. The bag is partially turned back at fold portions so that part of the bag is turned inside out, and at least part of the out-turned part is fixed as a fixing part to any part other than the bag. The inner surfaces of the bag at the fold portions are placed in contact with each other, forming a contact portion, to seal the resin material. The contact portion is placed in correspondence with an openable part of an opening flap of the outer case.

Abstract: A waste receptacle has an outer cabinet housing and a waste or trash bag support frame that can be moved from a position where it is at least partially within the cabinet, to a position where the support frame is extended sufficiently so it can be rotated about an upright axis to provide access to a bag held on the support frame. The support frame has an open ring on which a waste bag can be placed. The ring is spaced upwardly from the bottom of the bag support frame so that when the waste bag is full, it can be detached from the ring and dropped down for removal, rather than being lifted up through a container opening or support. The waste receptacle can have a cover that can be actuated to move from a closed position overlying the bag support frame to an open position.

Abstract: A waste can comprises a receptacle having a rim. A shroud is removably mounted on the receptacle for retaining a trash bag in the receptacle. A lid is secured to the shroud for covering at least a portion of the trash bag. The shroud has an interior opening that is substantially coextensive with an opening of the receptacle. The shroud includes a bag ring extending upwardly from the shroud for receiving the open upper edge of a bag. The lid extends over the bag ring such that the bag is hidden from view when the lid is closed.

Abstract: A holder for a bag. The holder comprises a stand or trash can and chute elements rotatably engaged to the stand or trash can. The chute elements are for opening the bag when frictionally engaging interior surfaces of the bag. The chute elements comprise a first pair and a second pair of chute elements. Each of the first pair of chute elements have stop elements for limiting rotation on the stand or trash can of each of the second pair of chute elements, when each of the first pair of chute elements has engaged sides of the bag in the holder.

The inside body is formed of walls of plate construction or, for instance, of net construction (2, 3), of which at least one wall (3) is movable in order to increase the volume formed by means of said walls.

Abstract: A bin suitable for mounting within a rigid enclosure, such as a cupboard, includes; a first section, which may be mounted within an enclosure, connected via a hinge to a second section, onto which a cupboard door may be mounted. Contents placed between first section and second section, when in the open position, are then compacted as second section is rotated closed. The invention may include a magnetic closure mechanism that offers a strong retaining force compared to that required to open the bin, and does so in a way that does not affect the external appearance of door mounted upon second section.

Abstract: A trash can for easy removal and carrying of a full trash bag consisting of two parts the first part being the “can part” having a unique design and shape as to accommodate the insertion of the “caddy part” of the present invention. The second part being the “trash bag caddy” part consisting of a rectangular bottom having two elongated handles hinged to opposite sides and running adjacent to the sides of the “can part” from the bottom to the top at which point handle grips are attached by means of a hinge pin. Allowing for easy removal and carrying of a full bag of trash.

Abstract: Decoy bags are easily kept open to allow filling with decoys by using a round rigid collar opening in the top of the bag by inserting said collar opening into the decoy bag and securing said bag to the collar opening with a large cable tie. Onto this collar are fitted several ferrules which form a holding mechanism for bungee cords passing through said ferrules. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the collar is made of a plastic material selected from acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, high impact polystyrene or the like and has an indentation around the side so that the bag can be installed and tied.

Abstract: A bulk bag comprising a bottom wall and at least one side wall extending upwardly from the bottom wall is provided with at least one pocket secured to the exterior of the side wall and extending substantially vertically. The pocket receives a support member which maintains the side wall of the bulk bag in an upright, open configuration.

Abstract: A trash container allows disposable plastic shopping bags to be reused as trash bags. The trash container has at least two hooked projection members attached to the exterior of the trash container for removable attachment of the disposable shopping bags to the trash container. In an alternate embodiment, a resilient band with attached hooked projection members can be used on existing trash containers.

Abstract: A sanitary napkin disposal assembly including a cartridge having an internal storage compartment with an opening at one end, with retaining means for supporting a bag within the storage compartment. There is a rod having an open position, in which a top surface of the rod is accessible, and a closed position in which said rod is housed within the storage compartment, such that when a sanitary napkin is disposed of by being placed on the top surface of the rod in the open position, with the bag subsequently unfolding in a longitudinal extending action into the storage compartment, with the retaining means capturing the sanitary napkin therein the bag, as the rod moves to the closed position.
