Abstract: A floating insulating beverage container is comprised of a double walled beverage container which is adequately buoyant and balanced to remain upright in a body of water. The adequate buoyancy and balanced is achieved by the buoyant forces available from the annular cavity created by the double wall container configuration and the balance by the non-buoyant or ballasted bottom of the container. The double wall annular space and ballasted weight are determined to maintain the drink container upright in a body of water, without sinking when filled with beverage, and not capsizing when empty. The double wall configuration also provides insulation for the beverage due to the void between the inner and outer walls.

The cover has a flexible strip which extends downwardly from a wall of the cover and is received in the vertical track of the transparent box.

  • Patent number: 5392947
Abstract: A dental mouthwash product is provided that includes a dispensing container with at least two discreet compartments. In a first of the compartments is a liquid component containing hydrogen peroxide. In a second of the compartments is a liquid component containing sodium bicarbonate. The hydrogen peroxide-containing compartment has an outer wall formed completely of opaque material. The compartment containing the sodium bicarbonate has an outer wall of a material whose clarity is sufficient to view the liquid level therewithin. A closure mechanism is sealingly attached to an upper end of the dispensing container. A structure for inhibiting gurgling of the liquid that can occur upon dispensing is provided in the form of either a vent pipe, a divider wall or a U-shaped divider wall. Additionally, there is provided a child-proof mechanism in the form of a release-button controlling opening of a sealing cover on the closure mechanism.

Abstract: In order to be able to utilize polycarbonate sheet material as a structural (i.e., stress-bearing) component in an assembly comprising polycarbonate and metal components, as, for example, in a monocoque air cargo container wherein the polycarbonate sheet material is used as the "skin" of the structure, an attachment assembly is utilized to provide a rigid, stress-bearing joint without inducing crack-inducing high levels of localized stress on the polycarbonate sheet. The attachment assembly comprises a significant area of overlap between the polycarbonate and metal components, and an attachment strip which substantially covers the attachment area. Rivets or bolts are inserted through oversized holes in the metal, polycarbonate, attachment strip assembly and then torqued. The compressive forces exerted thereby create the rigid joint (even in an environment where the joint is subject to 180.degree. • Patent number: 4997088
Abstract: A protective cover for a clip board which permits use of the clip board for writing during inclement weather. The cover is transparent and attaches to the side edges and rear edge of the clip board by means of U-shaped clamps having adjustable thumb screws. A top panel, left panel, right panel and rear panel form a box-like structure over the clip board leaving an opening at the front for access to the writing surface of the clip board. The left panel and right panel are hinged to the front panel in such a way as to allow these side panels to fold flat atop the front panel. Similarly, the rear panel is hinged to the top panel so as to permit the rear panel to fold flat under the top panel when removed from the clip board. Thus, this protective cover is collapsible and portable yet can be quickly assembled and attached to a clip board in case of bad weather out in the field. Sizes for legal or letter size clip boards would be available.
