Abstract: An adjustable reusable modular packaging crate and assembly kit is purposed for safe transportation of preferably mostly two-dimensional items. Several latching corner subassemblies each hold two perpendicular frame extensions that may be locked into adjustable lengths to make crate frame sides. Sets of adjustable clamps interact with the item to be shipped and the crate frame, to assist in securing the item to be shipped. Extendable frame components allow for a frame that adjusts precisely to the size of the item to be shipped. Frame locks securely fix the dimensions of the packaging crate. Gusset subassemblies and cross-corner struts add rigidity to the crate. Corner, frame, strut, and gusset components interlock to create a rigid packaging crate. Frame links enable crate frame sides to be connected side-by-side, adding to the depth of the crate frame. The modular crate may be easily disassembled for low-space storage between uses, and easily reassembled for reuse.

Abstract: Provided are an angular resin container, which while being thin, retains excellent appearance in respect of luster, transparency or the like, as well as a blow molding die for subjecting the container to biaxial stretch blow molding. Biaxial stretch blow molding is conducted with a blow molding die having a scallop height for the surface of the blow molding die, that corresponds to the side wall part of the body part of the angular resin container, of 3 to 30 ?m, thereby to obtain an angular resin container having a thickness of the body part of 0.5 mm or less and in which a horizontally-directed processed part having a depth of 3 to 30 ?m is formed on the outer surface of the side wall part of the body part.
Abstract: Packaging containing a PVDC barrier layer is manufactured without any significant orientation, with the result that the PVDC harrier layer remains flexible at significantly greater thicknesses than when it is oriented. This increased thickness compensates for the reduced barrier properties resulting from less crystallinity of the PVDC, and hence multilayer plastic tubing can be manufactured in which PVDC is used as a barrier layer instead of aluminum.

A secondary tab is carried by the tab, and is released into contact with the vent panel by lifting the tab to fracture the pour score, wherein pressing the tab in a direction generally opposite the lifting direction causes the secondary tab to fracture the vent score and open the vent panel. At least one anti-rotation member is disposed between the tab and the lid to prevent the tab from rotating about the rivet.

Abstract: A superhydrophilic thin film is formed on a metal surface of a boiler vessel to alter the wettability and roughness of the surface, which, in turn, changes the boiling behavior at the surface. The superhydrophilic film is formed by depositing a layer of a first ionic species on the surface from a solution. A second ionic species having a charge opposite to the that of the first ionic species is then deposited from solution onto the surface to produce a bilayer of the first ionic species and the oppositely charged second ionic species. The depositions are then repeated to form a plurality of bilayers, on top of the preceding bilayer. The bilayers are then heated, leaving the second ionic species on the metal surface to form a superhydrophilic film.
