Abstract: A component carrier tray for holding electrical components includes a support frame and a pocket insert supported by the support frame. The frame has at least one opening or concavity therein. The pocket insert is located in the opening or concavity and is formed of a high temperature semi-crystalline polymer. Each pocket insert is adapted to receive and hold at least one electrical component.

Abstract: A container lid locking ring is provided to secure the lid of a container to the container and lock one container on top of another. The locking ring comprises a cylindrical ring having a first projection for engaging a recess in the lid of a first container and a second projection, having a finger-like projection, for locking about the rim bead of the container. The locking ring further comprises a seat on which an over disposed container may be placed and a third projection, having a finger-like projection, for locking about the bottom rim bead of the over disposed container. The locking ring may further comprise a fourth projection, providing added locking support and sealing capabilities. In the use of the locking ring, containers may have their lids securely locked onto the container and containers may be securely stacked one on top of another for transportation, storage and display.

Abstract: A bowl with gripping means comprises an interior surface and exterior surface, a generally cylindrical base portion extending downwardly from a bottom exterior surface of the bowl, the base portion allowing the bowl to rest upon a flat surface in a secure manner, the base portion extending around the outer periphery of the bottom of the bowl and creating a cavity within an inner portion thereof. In the preferred mode, at least one bar extends radially across the bottom of the bowl from a first point upon the generally cylindrical base portion to a second point upon the generally cylindrical base portion, the bar functioning to allow a user to securely grip the bar while tilting the bowl over and removing contents from the interior of the bowl.

Abstract: A container arrangement for contact lenses and solution therefor includes a lens case having receptacles for storing contact lenses in contact lens solution. A bottle is provided for containing the contact lens solution. A bottle is provided for containing the contact lens solution and a cavity integrally formed into a bottom of the bottle is provided for receiving and holding the contact lens case within confines of a bottle bottom perimeter and in an orientation providing upright level storage of the contact lenses.

Abstract: A container for containing food and/or beverage ingredients is described. The container is of a type which may be supported in a cup holder while the ingredients inside are processed, such as by a rotating blade or other mechanism, and which is restrained against rotation which would otherwise be caused by the action of the rotating blade or other processing tool. In a preferred embodiment, a non-circular anti-rotation pattern is formed on the cup bottom for mating with a corresponding pattern on a cup holder.

Abstract: A trash discriminator device (10) for a container (12) having an open top edge (14) which holds a plastic bag (16) therein, with an upper portion (18) of the plastic bag (16) folded over the open top edge (14) of the container (12). The device (10) comprises a barrier (26) placed over the open top edge (14) of the container (12) to allow trash to enter the plastic bag (16), while preventing a tray (24) to be deposited into the plastic bag (16). A structure (28) is for attaching in a removable manner the barrier (26) onto the open top edge (14) of the container (12) on the folded over upper portion (18) of the plastic bag (16), so as to hold the plastic bag (16) in place and stop the plastic bag (16) from sliding down into the container (12).

Abstract: A blow molded combination lid and spill tray has a top wall and a downwardly depending skirt thereabout, the top wall formed from a pair of upper and lower circular walls. The upper and lower circular walls have a central feed circular recess, plurality of circumferentially spaced fused arcuate channels and plurality of second spaced fused arcuate channels with first and second circular hollow sections and first and second radial hollow sections, the hollow sections communicating with a hollow of the downwardly depending skirt. The lid when placed on a supporting surface with the skirt extending upwardly will contain a drum and accumulate spillage or drippage from the drum in the recesses.

Abstract: A slidable utility box includes a number of features which are particularly well adapted for use in confined spaces (crawl spaces, attics, etc.). The box includes a pyramid shaped obstacle deflector, which may be removably secured to either end of the box. The bottom of the box is smoothly rounded into each of the opposite ends of the box, and is smooth and devoid of protrusions to preclude digging in to a soft or irregular surface. The lid is completely removable, and need only be lifted sufficiently high to clear the flange around the upper edge of the box upon which the lid seats, for removal of the lid. The lid may include hinged or removable legs, allowing the lid to be used as a seat if desired. The box may include trays or partitions for tools if desired, but these are preferably removable to provide added versatility for the box, e.g., for the removal of debris, material from an excavation, etc.

Abstract: A paint bucket having cylindrical side walls, a bottom, has two integrally-formed inclined rolling surfaces extending upward from the bottom and inward toward the center, which meet at a peak below the top rim and form rolling surfaces. The rolling surfaces are angled inward, the side walls are angled outward and the area underneath the rolling surfaces is hollow to allow multiple paint buckets to be stacked together.

Abstract: A chemical analysis film cartridge has a box-like cartridge body in which a plurality of chemical analysis films are stacked. The chemical analysis films are taken out one by one through a take-out port formed in one end of the cartridge body. The take-out port has a first opening portion which is opened through a first side wall of the cartridge body and through which one chemical analysis film can be passed and a second opening portion which opened through one end face of the cartridge body. A first engagement portion is formed on the outer surface of the first side wall near the first opening portion and a second engagement portion is formed on the outer surface of a second side wall opposed to the first side wall. A capping member having third and fourth engagement portions is removably mounted on the cartridge body to cover the first and second opening portions of the take-out port with the third and fourth engagement portions respectively engaged with the first and second engagement portions.

Abstract: An improved medication dispensing and control assembly is disclosed in which a carton has sidewalls defining a medication dispensing opening, which carton has at least one sidewall provided with a positioning slot for secure positioning in a tray. The carton has bendable top wall connected to the sidewalls to allow the top wall to move between a position closing the medication opening and opened positions allowing removal of medication from the cartons. A frame may be releasably attached to the top wall (for instance by teeth or other projections) so as to maintain planarity of the top wall to thereby facilitate carton opening and closing and maintaining the top wall portion in a closed condition and to resist any undesired bending thereof.

Abstract: A drinking cup device which includes a drinking cup having an open top and a base. A storage portion may be connected and disconnected from the base of the cup portion. A cylindrical shoulder on the cup portion base mates with an open top on the storage portion. A removable lid has an upper side and a lower side. The upper side of the lid receives either the cup portion base or the storage portion.

Abstract: An insert is positioned in the upper end of a pail, which pail contains a liquid. The insert blocks entry of a child's head into the pail. The insert is screwed into the upper end of the pail. Mating locking detents are provided on the pail and on the insert so that the insert, once screwed into the pail, cannot be thereafter unscrewed from the pail. The insert allows ready withdrawal of the liquid from the pail. A child in the vicinity of a pail equipped with the aforesaid insert is protected from drowning in a liquid contained in the pail because insert prevents a child from accidentally, or intentionally, inserting his or her head into the pail.

Abstract: An unloading apparatus for use with a cargo container. The unloading apparatus having a supporting frame with a mandrel rotatably supported by the supporting frame and laterally extending across the frame. The unloading apparatus having devices to detachably connect it to the rear of the container. A liner disposed on the floor of the container with devices to connect the liner to the unloading apparatus when the unloading apparatus is connected to the back of the container. The liner in some uses has rolled or pleated sections which unfold or unroll as the liner is pulled out of the container and winds onto the mandrel. As the liner winds onto the mandrel, the cargo contained on top of the liner falls out the back and into a collection device such as a bin located at the rear of the container.

Abstract: A universal replacement carafe is presented and which may be used with coffee makers of different types. It includes removable adaptors which may be inserted into the lid of the carafe. In this way, the lid/adaptor combination can be made of the required height to engage the activation element of any coffee maker. Further, the adaptor can be positioned in any quadrant of the lid, so as to be able to engage an activation element at any portion of the coffee maker.

Abstract: An improved medication dispensing and control assembly is disclosed in which a carton has sidewalls defining a medication dispensing opening, which carton has a bendable top wall connected to the sidewalls in such a manner as to allow the top wall to move between a position closing the medication opening and opened positions allowing removal of medication from the cartons. A frame is removably attached to the top wall so as to maintain planarity of the top wall to thereby facilitate carton opening and closing and maintaining the top wall portion in a closed condition and to resist any undesired bending thereof.

Abstract: A filtering device for a beverage container with a tab opening system, which acts as a protector for a drink opening of the beverage container, allowing a user to drink through it. The device is not manually activated, and prevents entry of insects or foreign objects, while at the same time filtering beverages enclosed in the container. This filtering device consists of a concave net filter in the shape of half of an egg, which is placed underneath a shearable tab portion of the tab opening system of the container, and is fastened into place by three rivets.

Abstract: A layered combination of porous material mounted over the edge of a drum to siphon water from the top of the drum over the edge thereof. The porous material is in two spaced layers with a groove between. A nonporous cover makes the groove into a siphon tube to enhance the speed of drainage.

Abstract: A device for covering the opening formed in a container after the original sealing pull-tab is removed by a user. The device comprises a wire member having a ring like portion fixedly positioned below the top rim of the container. A second portion of the wire member extends horizontally and then angularly downwardly toward the center area of the container top surface. A hinge, formed on the rear portion of a cover member having a surface contact area sufficiently large to cover the opening, is positioned at the rear of the second portion of the wire member. The front portion of the cover member has a channel portion which is adapted to engage the rim thus securing the cover member in position over the opening.

Abstract: A resilient, modular closure for selectively sealing an opening in a pry tab beverage can. The closure comprises a handle perpendicularly extending from an integral body. The handle is grasped between the thumb and the forefinger of the user. The body comprises a downwardly-projecting, beveled offset adapted to mate with the can opening, and a notch adapted to wedgably engage the pry tab. The ventral surface of the body comprises a circumferential ridge adapted to contact a top of a beverage can to seal around the opening or to mate with a reinforcement channel surrounding the can opening. Raised guides are defined along the dorsal surface of the notch for captivating the pry tab during installation of the closure. A snap fit yieldably engages the rim of the can when the closure is installed. The snap fit comprises a rim-receptive slot. A stop extends rearwardly from the body to contact an inner surface of the rim, and an "L" shaped jaw extends downwardly from the handle.

Abstract: The invention disclosed is a reusable cap adapted to hermetically seal the top of a standard beverage can so as to contain the carbonation within the can and to prevent spills. The cap comprises a flat topped resilient outer shell, and an elastomeric inner member adapted to mate with the entire recessed top of the can to form a liquid and airtight seal.

Abstract: The present invention provides an adapter for use inconjunction with a paint can having an opening at one end and an inwardly extending rim adjacent the open end of the can. A continuous groove is provided around the rim and this groove has a preset width and a preset depth. The adapter includes an annular body which is dimensioned to be insertable into the can groove and to form a seal between the adapter and the paint can rim. The precise dimension of the body may vary between different can manufacturers. An annular channel is provided around an outwardly facing side of the body and this channel is adapted to receive and sealing engage a sealing flange on a standardized lid for the can.

Abstract: A plastic slidable removable cover for a beverage container, such as a soda can, that can cover or expose the can opening using the same hand that grasps the container. The cover comprises a tab portion that fits under the rivet of a conventional soda can pull ring and covers the opening created, a periphery engaging portion that grips the lip of the can, and a plurality of serrations facilitating easy sliding of the cover around the lip periphery. The cover can be easily removed for use with other containers.

Abstract: A splashguard device for a dishwasher includes an angular sector of a circular plate. A sector angle of the angular sector has an angle of from about 100 to 130 degrees. The radius of the circular plate substantially equals the radial length of a dishwasher door determined from the hinge axis of the dishwasher door. A plurality of fastening devices permanently secures the angular sector at a radially extending edge to a radially directed side face of the dishwasher door. Spacer devices are provided for spacing the angular sector at a distance of approximately 0.5 inch from the radially extending side face of the dishwasher door in a vertical plane parallel to an outer face of a dishwasher outside wall. A guide is attached to the dishwasher outside wall to ensure a free movement of the splashguard.

Abstract: A bottle cover arranged for securement about an upper portion of a bottle member in a complementary relationship, wherein the bottle cover includes a body cavity and is formed of a fluid absorbing sponge material having a head portion to receive the bottle cap therewithin, with the head portion having a cylindrical cavity, including a cylindrical resilient insert arranged coextensively about an interior wall of the head portion for enhanced engagement of the bottle cap to permit rotation of the bottle cap relative to the associated bottle, with the sponge body arranged to absorb fluid in an overflow from the associated bottle member.

Abstract: An apparatus for receiving and holding a flexible and collapsible trash liner comprises a rigid upright trash receptacle having a main body with a generally closed bottom and an open top. The bottom has a periphery about which the bottom is affixed to the main body, and this periphery has at least one cavity formed therealong. The cavity effectively forms a foothold for a user in removing the trash liner from the receptacle as well as a handhold for a user in transporting the trash receptacle.

Abstract: The invention disclosed is a reusable cap adapted to hermetically seal the top of a standard beverage can so as to contain the carbonation within the can and to prevent spills. The cap comprises a flat topped hard outer shell, a resilient inner coating on the shell, and an elastomeric inner member adapted to mate with the entire recessed top of the can to form a liquid and airtight seal.

Abstract: A can top resealer includes a locking member with built in camming means and an inner latching cap member having downwardly depending fingers having inwardly extending lugs that engage with the can top to assume a latched position when the locking member is lowered. When the locking member is lowered the camming means urge the fingers inwardly to releasably lock the lugs about the can top. A gasket is included for purposes of completing a hermetic seal.

Abstract: An insulated beverage container holder includes a cylindrical hollow body portion connected to a cylindrical hollow cap by an integrally molded flexible plastic loop hinge. A hollow cylindrical insulating foam liner cup is dimensioned for removable insertion into the cylindrical body. The hollow interior of the liner cup is dimensioned to removably receive standard sized beverage containers, such as cans and bottles. An upstanding annular ledge on the open upper end face of the body cooperates with an annular step provided on the bottom end face of the cap to form a frictional closure. A thumb catch disposed on the cap, diametrically opposite the hinge, facilitates manual opening and closing the cap. A disk-shaped, thin, cylindrical end plate is integrally molded as a component of said cylindrical body proximate a bottom end face of the hollow body. The end plate forms a floor which supports a bottom surface of the liner cup.

Abstract: A child drowning protection guard for an open head, plastic industrial container to prevent a toddling child from toppling head first into the container containing a liquid. The guard is provided by a tapered tube integral with the bottom wall of the container and extending upwardly from the bottom wall, through the surface of the liquid, a distance at least one-half the height of the container, and having an effective diameter at the top so that the radial space between the tube and the inner side wall of the container is dimensioned to be less than the diameter of the head of a typical toddling child. The tube is hollow so that a plurality of empty containers can be stacked in nested relationship, and the side wall of the tube can be corrugated or fluted to conserve on the amount of volume taken from the container by the placement of the tube therein.

Abstract: A rigid insulation member fits internally at the bottom end of a water heater having an inner tank with an upwardly concave base and an outer shell separated by an insulation gap from the inner tank. The insulation member has a one piece construction comprising an upwardly convex center portion which mates with the concave base of the inner tank, a peripheral ring which spans the insulation gap and an annular channel between the center portion and the peripheral ring which seats the inner tank of the water heater.

Abstract: An apparatus for resealing a standard aluminum beverage can, once its lid had been punctured, consists of a cover having a threaded pour spout projecting from one surface thereof and a flared skirt surrounding the periphery of the cover along with a collar which is adapted to cooperate with the flared skirt portion of the cover to compress same against the exterior side wall of the beverage container. The collar serves as a clamping ring for maintaining a gas-tight seal between the can and the cover. A threaded cap is provided which can be screwed onto the threaded pour spout to complete the seal.

Abstract: A tamper evident device for use on a soft drink syrup container (a figal) comprising a one-piece body including a pair of spaced-apart arms with a socket on the distal end of each arm, the socket including internal locking teeth to lock onto a plug of the syrup container. The sockets include fracture zones and must be broken to be removed. A handle portion joins the two arms and includes a large flat upper surface for use in applying a label thereon identifying the syrup in the container.

Abstract: An anti-slip structure for cups comprising an annular groove in the cup bottom wall, an outer annular anti-slip band made of an elastic material and an inner fixing ring fixed together securely in said annular groove so as to make said outer anti-slip band extend a little down beyond the cup bottom surface.

Abstract: A pan cover for covering a cooking pan, comprising a cover plate retained in between a top member and a bottom member, wherein a plurality of parallel slots are respectively made on said top and bottom members and aligned with each other, and a smoke absorber is retained between said top and bottom member to absorb smoke coming below. The cover plate is made from transparent, reinforced fiber glass the inside can be clearly seen.

Abstract: A supplemental waste recycling container for mounting to either the inside or outside of a larger waste container is provided. The supplemental container includes an out-turned rim extending around the circumference of its upper edge. The container also includes two parallel horizontally-extending mounting members extending outwardly from the upper edge of the supplemental container. The out-turned rim is profiled to mount to either the inside or outside of the larger waste container. The horizontally-extending mounting members include depending lateral flanges for mounting along sides of the large waste container when the supplemental container is either mounted to the inside or the outside of the larger container.

Abstract: A sensor which is installed in a waste tank to determine when the tank is full includes a shroud having a body with a curved surface and a leading edge which is mounted flushly to the inner surface of the tank wall and a trailing edge which is spaced apart from the sensor face. As waste material is swirled about the inside surface of the tank wall, the shroud causes the waste material to be transported above the sensor face without disrupting the flow of the waste material along the tank wall. The cover is sized and configured appropriately to allow convenient rinsing when the waste tank is emptied.
