Abstract: A sealable container cover includes both a flexible film and an elastic film for sealing the container cover to the wall or walls of a container. The elastic film creates an expandable opening of the container cover, which can accept containers of various sizes and shapes. Pull tabs are provided to facilitate removal of a container cover from atop a container. Also constructed in the same manner as the container covers provided herein is a container liner.

Preferably, the clamp has a circular rim with inner and outer edges and a bottom face adapted to be seated on a rim of the cup and an inner inverted frustoconical serrated lip extending downwardly from the inner edge and an outer frustoconical nodulous lip extending downwardly from the outer edge which cooperate to grip the lip of the cup therebetween.

In one embodiment, the securement member is removably anchored to the container by using a tight frictional engagement. The cup brim comprises a brim curl having a lip configuration and a flare configuration. When the brim curl is in the lip configuration, the brim curl arcuately and concavely extends away from the cup opening to form a brim lip. When the brim curl is in the flare configuration, the brim curl arcuately and convexly extends away from the cup opening to form a brim flare. The described configuration results in the cup brim being destroyed when the lid is removed from the cup, making subsequent re-capping impossible.

Abstract: An ovate-shaped container cover includes one layer of cover material that substantially covers a container, while a second layer of cover material adapted with an elastic border for gripping the walls of a container is substantially adjacent to the walls of the container. The container cover, when placed atop a container, is capable of forming a dome. Further disclosed is an automated method for manufacturing container covers of the ovate design described above.

Abstract: Apparatus is provided for sealing cylindrical materials containers such as paint cans and caulking tubes. The apparatus includes a cylindrical sleeve constructed of a semi-rigid, rubber-like material having a first open-base end, where the first open-base end opens into a cylindrical chamber, inner and outer cylindrical surfaces of which extend contiguously from the first open-base end to a second closed-base end of the sleeve. The inner cylindrical surface includes at least one annular bead or protrusion disposed thereon. The apparatus also includes a clamp for placement over an annular portion of the outer cylindrical surface disposed opposite the annular bead to compel a pressure seal by the bead with an outer surface of the materials container. Same features enable the apparatus to usefully and efficaciously seal an access opening in the materials container enclosed and clamped by same.

Abstract: A tray assembly for conveying food to and from a cooking site utilizes first and second covers wherein each cover has a cup-shaped form and a peripheral edge which extends around the cup-shaped form of the first cover, and further utilizes an intermediate section positionable between the first and second covers. The intermediate section provides two opposite tray surfaces against which food can be placed for conveying purposes and has a boundary edge section, and the boundary edge section cooperates with the peripheral edges of the first and second covers so that the first and second covers can be placed in snug-fitting relationship with the intermediate section along the boundary edge section thereof. Therefore, when any residue or fluid which may be left from or flow from uncooked food carried upon one of the tray surfaces of the intermediate section to the cooking site is isolated from the other tray surface of the intermediate section.

Abstract: The present invention may be regarded as a stackable container lid for a first container. The stackable container lid includes a raised support surface defined by a support wall. The support wall is supported by a plurality of support ribs. The raised support surface is configured to support a bottom surface of a second container which is the same size and shape as the first container. The stackable container lid also includes a side surface which is complementary shape and slightly larger in size than the rim defining the opening of the first container such that the container lid fits over the opening of the first container. The second container can be stacked on the first container when the lid is on the first container.

Abstract: A pan for use with a well for receiving the pan is disclosed herein. The pan includes a bottom panel, a plurality of walls, and a ramp. The plurality of walls extend upwardly from the bottom panel and define a cavity. The plurality of walls also have an upper end which defines a top opening. The upper end has an extension away from the cavity which defines a rim. The ramp is proximate the rim and exterior to the cavity, whereby the pan rides up on the ramp when the pan is drawn up against the well.

Abstract: A stacking coin holder is comprised of a base and a removable lid. The base contains a plurality of slots defined by separating portions. The slots include planar side slants which contact a coin at two contact points, one on each side slant. A ridge in the lid preferably contacts the coin of a third contact point in order to provide three point contact with an inserted coin. The coin holder is preferably constructed of a translucent material to provide visual information as to the contents of the coin holder.

Abstract: A reversible overcap for an adjustable volume container for consumer products is provided. A first side of the overcap includes a radially extending surface and an annular rim extending outwardly therefrom for engaging a retaining rim of the adjustable volume container. A second side of the overcap includes an annular member that is adapted to frictionally engage the exposed end of the remaining portions of the container that are formed by separating a portion of the container from the remaining portion of the container. The reversible overcap of the present invention is thus a multi-functional end closure and forms part of a completely self-contained adjustable volume container for consumer products that continuously accommodates the volume of the food product in the container.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel frozen dessert container. A preferred configuration for the frozen dessert container is a super-ellipse configuration. The invention allows for registered offset printing on the rim of the lid. The invention also allows for use of a single material for an entire frozen dessert container. The frozen dessert container may be composed of a fiberboard material with a polyethylene coating thereon. The present invention allows for the cost-effective fabrication of a frozen dessert container having a non-circular cross-section. The invention allows for greater sealing between the lid and the cup of the frozen dessert container.

The box (2) comprises a base (4) and side walls (5, 6) which are formed from side panels of the blank and are joined together, and an outer reinforcing frame (7), used for holding the box. The frame runs around the side walls (5, 6) and comprises frame members (8, 9) joined together and fixed to the side walls (5, 6). The frame members are formed from at least four flaps extending from side panels of the blank and rolled up spiral-fashion.

Abstract: A beverage container includes a body member and a lid that fits thereon in only a single orientation. One way this is accomplished is by using a lid that has an asymmetric perimeter profile such as a reniform. Another way is by using a projection on the body member that uniquely mates with a receiving area on the lid. A first orientation indicator, such as a groove, may be disposed on the body member to indicate the orientation of the container to the user's hand. A second orientation indicator may be disposed on the lid to help guide a user's lips to a drinking aperture and/or assist in preventing spillage.

Abstract: A storage assembly is provided for the accessible storage of small tools and components. The assembly includes a rectangular open-topped outer container having internal length and width dimensions that are selected integer multiples of a selected dimension. The outer container may have hand grips formed in the sidewalls in proximity to the open top for lifting the outer container and the entire assembly. The assembly also includes a plurality of rectangular open-topped inner containers having length and width dimensions that equal the selected dimensions employed in the outer container. Thus, if the inner containers have length and/or width dimensions of X, the outer container may have length and width dimensions of 3x and 2x respectively. Thus, a plurality of the inner containers may be stored efficiently in the outer container. The inner containers are configured to be stackable so that a plurality of tiers of inner containers can be stored in the outer container.

A method of forming a strengthened edge on a cover for a cooking vessel includes flattening an inwardly rolled bead formed on a cut edge of a downwardly depending skirt of a cover blank, the flattening process forming a diametrically inward offset in the lower portion of the downwardly depending skirt and mechanically sealing the cut edge of the skirt to the lower portion of the skirt.

Abstract: A composite lid formed of plastic resin and paperboard is disclosed along with a method of making the lid. The lid has a primary panel of paperboard defining its center and a plurality of secondary panels, also of paperboard, continuously attached to the perimeter of the primary panel and oriented perpendicularly to its plane. A skirt of plastic resin is attached to the inside surfaces of the secondary panels, the secondary panels being in edge abutting relationship and totally covering the skirt. The primary and secondary panels thus form a lid having a continuous outer surface capable of receiving a print media, the continuous outer surface extending entirely over the lid. A bar of resin is provided around the inside surface of the primary panel and resin spokes connect the bar to the skirt. Raised segments are positioned intermittently around the inside surface of the skirt, the segments engaging a container to hold the lid in place.

The mating portion of the baseshell is defined by an inwardly tapered sidewall portion. The topshell is placed on the baseshell and a seal is formed between the mating portions. The topshell mating member according to one embodiment is defined by a circumferential rib and the baseshell mating member is defined by a circumferential channel which receives the topshell rib. According to a second embodiment, the topshell mating member is defined by a circumferential band of depending projections and the baseshell mating member is defined by a circumferential band of upending projections for mating with the topshell depending projections.

In one form of the invention, the overcap must be flipped over to attach the overcap to the edge of the shortened container.
