  • Patent number: 8985397
Abstract: A system for spraying, according to various aspects of the present invention, includes a shuttle and a trigger switch. The shuttle and the trigger switch cooperate with discontinuous mechanical coupling. The trigger switch provides a discontinuity in bias against operation of the trigger switch by the user. Consequently, the user experiences tactile feedback before spray is released. Prior to tactile feedback, the system establishes a communication link. When spray is released, the system transmits a notice via the communication link. Such a system when equipped with pepper spray aerosol is advantageous for self-defense.

  • Patent number: 8978936
Abstract: A apparatus for delivering a predetermined quantity of content from a pressurized container includes a dispensing assembly which sits on the container and connects with an upper portion of a valve stem of the valve assembly, wherein the dispensing assembly includes a) an actuator cap having a discharge passage, which is open or obstructed and wherein the actuator cap acts as a metering chamber in combination with b) an adaptor which fits inside the cap and also snuggly engages the valve stem. The cap fits snuggly over the adjuster to define a metering chamber which depending on its position can close off the metered chamber or open it to the dispensing conduit\nozzle. When the cap is depressed it pushes down on the adjuster which depresses the valve. The chamber fills, but nothing is released until the upstroke.

  • Patent number: 8893985
Abstract: A pump fragrance device includes a pump spray, an inner housing connected to a spray head, and an outer housing on the inner housing. On the inner housing, a junction piece connected to the spray head has an opening thereon. The inner housing's surface has an assembling piece to fit with the outer housing, which has an assembling structure to fit with the inner housing. The inner and outer housings form a fixing structure. The fixing structure is filled with a volatile carrier agent, at least a part of which is located in the spray path of the pump spray. When used, the pump spray sprays content onto a surface of the volatile carrier agent, thereby reducing the quantity of the volatile aromatic agent used. This prolongs the diffusion time of the volatile aromatic agent, thereby relieving users from the danger of the fragrance device being under high temperature.

  • Patent number: 8348102
Abstract: A fluid product dispensing device has a reservoir containing fluid and dispenser head with a dispensing orifice. The reservoir moves relative to the dispenser head to cause dispensation. The reservoir is moved by a lateral actuator that pivots in relation to the dispenser head which in turn pivots an actuator link that is located in the middle of the lateral actuator which in turn is in contact with the reservoir itself. As the lateral actuator moves, the actuator link pivots and moves the reservoir closer to the dispensing head, which causes dispensation as desired by the user.

  • Patent number: 8308029
Abstract: A dispenser has a reservoir to hold a fluid, in at least one embodiment a viscous cosmetic, with a pump and a set of groove protrusions attached integrally. The dispenser fits within an outer casing that houses the reservoir and has a set of grooved passages with a flat upper section, a flat lower section, and a slope in between which seat the set of groove protrusions. The dispenser is raised and lowered within the outer casing with a hollow rotating body that has a set of straight grooves that simultaneously seat the set of groove protrusions so that when the hollow rotating body is twisted on top of the outer casing, the dispenser can move up or down. The hollow rotating body also has a notch to seat a button and nozzle actuating top when the dispenser is rotated to its lowest position. When the button and nozzle are depressed, fluid is dispensed through the nozzle. More or less fluid is dispensed depending on how high the dispenser is raised with respect to the outer casing.

  • Patent number: 8297481
Abstract: A dispensing device having a housing capable of receiving a pre-packaged charge of pre-whipped topping or icing. The housing has an inner wall with a slot formed therein for receiving a rack that is capable of rotational and translational motion within the slot. The rack has a set of gear teeth that engage with a catch on a plunger. The piston moves in the axial direction to force the pre-whipped topping or icing through the outlet in its packaging. The catch on the piston is locked in one direction and pivots in the opposite direction such that the rack engages with the piston when it moves in a first direction and the rack disengages with the piston when it is moved in a second direction opposite the first direction.

Abstract: A soap dispenser has a base and a cover attached to the base by two sets of hinges. A container of soap is housed between the cover and the base and is attached to a liquid or foam dispensing pump. The pump is housed within a mounting device which surrounds the pump and has several diameters and at least one shoulder. In at least one embodiment, the mounting device has a flexible arm that biases the cover to a non-actuated position. The portion of the mounting device farthest from the pump's dispensing orifice and located closest to the soap container is flat in at least one embodiment on two opposite surfaces, which assists in orienting the pump correctly. As the portion is not circular, it must be oriented correctly. In at least one embodiment, as the cover is depressed, the pump actuates to dispense foam or soap.
