  • Patent number: 8387834
Abstract: A dispenser includes a housing and a push bar movable between a rest position and an actuated position. A container is retained in the housing and holds a liquid, and a pump is associated with a liquid. The pump is actuated to dispense a dose of the liquid, when the push bar is moved from its rest position to its actuated position. A dispensing tube includes an inlet associated with the pump, an outlet associated with the push bar, and a bellows portion between the inlet and the outlet. Upon moving the push bar from its rest position to its actuated position, the bellows portion is collapsed from an expanded volume to a compressed volume, and the outlet of the dispensing tube moves with the push bar. Abstract: A mold barrier eliminates the establishment and continued resurgence of microbial colonies on product dispenser components routinely exposed to fluids and food products. The mold barrier may be utilized in a product dispenser to prevent the establishment of mold colonies on the product dispenser. The mold barrier adheres to potentially exposed surfaces to create an impenetrable boundary layer, thereby preventing the errant product from permeating into porous materials not suitable for product contact. Upon contacting the mold barrier, the errant product moves downward. Residues left from the errant product may be removed when the product dispenser and mold barrier are sanitized during routine cleansing operations. • Patent number: 8123082
Abstract: A hand-held dispensing device having a dispenser incorporating: (i) a dispenser body defining a dispensing chamber for holding a substance; (ii) an outlet communicating with the dispensing chamber; (iii) a dispensing mechanism for dispensing the substance through the outlet; and (iv) an actuating member resiliently mounted for movement relative to the dispenser body to actuate the dispensing mechanism. The dispenser is operably connected to and manually slidable relative to a handle between a non-use position, and an operative position. The device further comprises a locking assembly for releasably locking the dispenser body to the handle in the operative position to prevent said manual sliding movement of the dispenser body, whereby a user may grasp the handle and effect manual movement of the actuating member relative to the handle and the dispenser body, against the action of the biasing member, to actuate the dispensing mechanism and dispense the contents of the dispensing chamber.

Abstract: A dispensing container according to the invention includes a container body having a rod-like shape, The dispensing container is therefore compact and the user can hold the dispensing container as if the user holds a pen and use the thumb, the index finger, and any other finger to apply pressure to the dispensing container so as to dispense a drug solution. A heat insulating grip is attached to the outer circumferential surface of the container body, whereby heat originating from the body temperature of a finger of the user will not be transferred to the drug solution or volatilize it. No excessive dispensing that is not intended by the user will therefore occur. Since the container body is thin and hence unlikely crashed, the user can make adjustment of the pressure applied by the thumb, the index finger, and any other finger to readily extract a single droplet.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are described herein for beverage containment and thermal maintenance. Functionality can be provided for configuring a cooler to support insertion and containment of a bladder for containing a liquid such as a beverage. The cooler may be used to maintain desired thermal characteristics of the liquid. A tap on the bladder may extend to the outside of the cooler through an adjustable tap port within a wall of the cooler. An opening within the port may be adjustable in size and shape to support the insertion and securing of various sized taps. A reusable bladder may be refilled and the bladder membrane may be replaced while reusing the tap mechanism. Removing the tap may also support inserting a commercially filled second bladder into the bladder while allowing the second bladder's tap to extend through the tap hole within the first bladder.
