  • Publication number: 20120279995
Abstract: A dispensing device includes a housing at least partially surrounding a compressible container. The container includes a first tab member received by a first tab receiver in a wall of the housing. The dispensing device dispenses material through an open end of the container in response to a compressive force moving an opposing end of the container towards the open end. As the container is compressed, the first tab member exits the first tab receiver and enters a second tab receiver, which is located closer to the dispensing end of the housing than the first tab receiver. The first tab member remains in the second tab receiver after the compressive force has been removed.

  • Patent number: 8287505
Abstract: A dispensing tip apparatus for an eye drop dispenser to administer topical ophthalmic solutions is described. The apparatus integrates an ophthalmic solution-dispensing tip with an optical gauging assembly. The tip provides continuous visual feedback about it orientation and relationship to the eye. The dispensing tip when attached to any standard topical ophthalmic solution dispensing bottle or reservoir enables the user to view a target, visually align the dispenser tip, and administer an eye drop with precision. There is also a visual feedback by which the dispenser tip is prevented from gaining too close proximity and contacting the eye, thus preventing contamination of the medication and its dispenser. The visual feedback can also contain textual or graphic information that serves as a promotional advertisement. The is assembly can be attached to the neck of an eye drop bottle or attached to the tip of an eye drop bottle.

Abstract: A dispensing container according to the invention includes a container body having a rod-like shape, The dispensing container is therefore compact and the user can hold the dispensing container as if the user holds a pen and use the thumb, the index finger, and any other finger to apply pressure to the dispensing container so as to dispense a drug solution. A heat insulating grip is attached to the outer circumferential surface of the container body, whereby heat originating from the body temperature of a finger of the user will not be transferred to the drug solution or volatilize it. No excessive dispensing that is not intended by the user will therefore occur. Since the container body is thin and hence unlikely crashed, the user can make adjustment of the pressure applied by the thumb, the index finger, and any other finger to readily extract a single droplet.

The chamber has a super-thin compressible wall of a predetermined thickness that forms a main body of the container, and two or more pressure-resistible non-deformable stiff supporting ribs located on the compressible wall at predetermined positions and having a thickness larger than that of the compressible wall. Each time the fluid dispenser head is depressed, a pressure difference is generated in the container to result a contraction of the compressible wall and dispensing of the contained fluid via the fluid dispenser head. When the contracted compressible wall finally becomes completely flattened, any remained fluid in the container can be pushed out to avoid unnecessary waste of the fluid.

Abstract: A one-piece container closure with a collar, leaflets hingedly attached to the collar, and thin flexible foldable webs attached to and extending between the leaflets. The leaflets are flat with the webs folded beneath in closed closure position. The leaflets are pivoted upwardly with webs unfolded therebetween in open position. An integral cap is attached to the collar by a snap-action bow-tie hinge. A central pin on the cap seals with the leaflets when the cap is closed. The closure is integrally molded in open position with raised leaflets and unfolded webs, leaflets then being lowered and the webs folded to closed position while the closure is still warm.

Abstract: To provide a squeeze bottle with reduced pressing force required to delivery a liquid, and particularly a squeeze bottle wherein the pressing force is reduced to such an extent that allows easy control of the discharge of liquid drops even when a valve operated by the liquid pressure is provided. In a squeeze bottle comprising the bottle body 10 for containing a liquid, and a neck 11 that leads to the opening end 10a of the bottle body 10, the bottle body 10 has a bellows 12 which is contracted and expanded in the direction y generally perpendicular to the direction x of delivering liquid. The bellows 12 has a plurality of pleated portions 13 disposed in the direction of delivery x. The pleated portions 13 are disposed at intervals in the direction of contraction y. Further, the width of the convex edge of the pleated portion 13 in the direction of width Z, that is, the distance between the both edges 14, is made to decrease from the middle to the both ends in the direction of contraction y.

Abstract: A squeezable container for dispensing liquid soap, including a plurality of walls for simulating different shapes. The walls define an internal chamber for containing said liquid soap to be dispensed. One of the walls include closure means for opening and closing the container and for refilling the internal chamber with the liquid soap, wherein the closure means includes a passageway which allows liquid soap to pass into the internal chamber but not out of the internal chamber. At least one of the walls is formed of a squeezable material having a plurality of slits formed therein to allow the liquid soap to be dispensed from the internal chamber through the slits or holes when a squeezing pressure is applied to the container. The walls have an outer surface forming a scrubbing surface for cleaning.

  • Patent number: 7374069
Abstract: A dispensing system for dispensing a viscous, flowable food product such, for example, as a condiment, comprises an axially extending container that defines an opening and an interior chamber for receiving and storing the food product. A discharge assembly is coupled to the container, the discharge assembly being dimensioned and arranged to spin, relative to the container, as it receives the viscous food product from the interior chamber. The spinning motion of the discharge assembly, accompanied by a linear movement of the container itself relative to a target food item, allows the user to cleanly and evenly distribute the flowable food material onto the target item in an attractive, curvilinear deposit pattern. Optionally, the discharge assembly may be configured with a pivoting nozzle that can be moved from a position for obtaining a helical (curvilinear) deposit pattern to a position for obtaining a rectilinear deposit pattern.

  • Patent number: 7284681
Abstract: A self-standing type bag-shaped vacuum container has a self-standing container including a wall formed of a soft sheet, a pouring port, and a check valve mounted in the pouring port. The check valve is opened to allow the migration of a content of the container when subjected to a pressure in the pouring direction, but is closed when subjected to a pressure in a filling direction, so that the inside of the container is evacuated. The self-standing container can be optimized for storing beverages or the like which are negatively effected by contact with air, because the content will be oxidized with the air. The vacuum type container will not lose its self-standing property even if the content is reduced, and can stand stably by itself.
