Abstract: The present invention is directed to metering devices, systems, and methods that mitigate differential thermal expansion/contraction for the efficient, accurate, and reproducible metered delivery of fluids. The present invention allows the net fluid volume and a plunger location within a fluid dispensing container to automatically adjust under the influence of differential thermal expansion/contraction between the fluid and the fluid dispensing container that the fluid is contained within. Further, the present invention allows the metering system drive to sense the adjusted plunger location and allows the metering system drive to re-zero itself to produce an accurate volumetric delivery of fluid from the fluid dispensing container. The metering system includes means for controlling the travel of the metering system drive, and hence the travel of the plunger into the fluid dispensing container, for delivering accurate/precise amounts of the fluid from the fluid dispensing container.

Abstract: A time-pressure system for dosing liquid, comprising: a tank of liquids which communicates with at least one discharge conduit; organs for regulating the pressure of the liquids at a predetermined level; a choke unit, acting on a section of the discharge conduit in order to obstruct/allow passage of the pressurised liquids coming from the tank, thus determining projection of dosed quantities of liquids externally at predetermined time intervals. In particular, the choke unit comprises a brushless motor, which cyclically moves an obstructing element between a choked position and a disengaged position of the section.

The profile may be a stepped profile with a plurality sections forming a rotationally forward face. Neighboring sections are non-collinear and at least one of the sections is parallel to a rotational axis. The profile may include a generally centrally disposed first section of ?¼ of a relevant dimension; a third section of ?? of the relevant dimension; a second section disposed between the first section and a third section and non-collinear with the third section; with the sections disposed relative to the rotational axis in advantageous positions. The profile may be such that second and third sections of the blade have approximately equal longitudinal extents, but the tilt-angle-weighted surface area of the second section is substantially less than the third tilt-angle-weighted surface area of the third section.

Abstract: The present invention is an improved vibratory pumping mechanism that increases the efficiency of utilization of the vibratory motion within a mechanism. More specifically, the mechanism includes a central chamber within which a piston is oscillated to draw fluid into the chamber and expel fluid from within the chamber outwardly through a nozzle connected to the chamber. The chamber includes a pressure tube connected to a rearward end of the chamber and to a secondary chamber positioned around and in fluid communication with the chamber. The pressure tube allows the negative pressure generated by the motion of the piston in either direction to be utilized in preventing any fluid from being directed out of the mechanism in a direction other than through the nozzle, thereby increasing the efficiency of the pump.
