  • Patent number: 8042712
Abstract: The subject invention is a system for dispensing a controlled amount of fluid product from a dispensing container which includes a pneumatically driven dispensing actuator. This actuator includes a dispensing cylinder and a movable dispensing piston. The dispensing piston is movable under pneumatic pressure within the cylinder, the cylinder including a volume of hydraulic fluid under the pneumatic pressure acting against the dispensing piston to selectively prevent movement of the dispensing piston. The invention further includes a means for selectively reducing the volume of the hydraulic fluid in the dispensing cylinder to allow the controlled movement of the dispensing piston. The controlled movement of the dispensing piston causes controlled displacement of the fluid product from the dispensing container. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a force may be generated and applied to a plunger, which can be accurately controlled.

Abstract: A drive characteristic and durability of a liquid supply device having a flexible pump member such as a bellows are improved. A drive pump in the liquid supply device has a bellows as the pump member that is elastically deformed axially by a drive rod. A drive pump chamber and a communication chamber are formed by the bellows and the housing, and the communication chamber and the drive pump chamber are partitioned by the orifice member. At a drive operation time of the drive rod, the through hole is blocked by the valve member, and a liquid flows in between the communication chamber and the drive pump chamber via a communication gap formed between the orifice member and an inner circumferential face of the housing.

  • Publication number: 20110132934
Abstract: Here presented is a hydraulic dispensing apparatus that includes a main frame as a base 1, said frame 1 having a reservoir 4 for liquids for dispensing joined to a cylinder 2 and piston 3 structure fastened to it. The frame 1 provides a hose connector 8 to accept the intake of hydraulic fluids into the cylinder 2 and piston 3 structures; this would provide hydraulic force to actuate the piston 3. Said cylinder 2 has a hose connector 12 to accept the intake of liquids for dispensing from the reservoir 4. This connection allows the cylinder 2 to be refilled without having one of the ends of the cylinder 2 opened. A piston rod 7, secured to the piston 3 and movable therewith, allows for the piston 3 to be retracted to its initial position either manually or with the use of a mechanical device. Retracting the piston 3 to its initial position creates a vacuum effect that forces the liquids for dispensing from the reservoir 4 into the cylinder 2.

  • Patent number: 7905375
Abstract: A device for dispensing flowable materials to low locations without the user being required to bend over or kneel down during dispensing provides relief from back strain or other injuries. The device includes a cylinder having a piston mounted therein which reciprocates between forward ejecting and return directions. A driven rod, connected to the piston, extends through a front wall of the cylinder. Upon actuation, a trigger mechanism supplies a pressure medium within the cylinder for displacing the piston in the forward ejecting direction to dispense flowable material from the dispensing device. The trigger mechanism is oriented to enable the user to hold the dispensing device like a suitcase and is spaced a sufficient distance from where the flowable material is dispensed to enable a user to remain standing erect while dispensing to low areas such as where a floor and wall meet.
