Pivot Lying In Chamber Rim Patents (Class 222/364)
  • Patent number: 11020316
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dispensing device, a valve, a containing apparatus having same, a contents moving apparatus, and a contents apparatus, comprising a passing operation unit provided in the housing, for moving and guiding contents, wherein the passing operation unit comprises a contents passing means for moving the contents. Unlike conventional art, the present invention may secure a space for passing contents while preventing reception of contents, which exceeds a demand, by adjusting a passing space and a receiving space, stably induce passing of a demanded amount of contents within a predetermined range, and prevent remaining of contents more than necessary by limiting the space for receiving the contents, thereby enabling adjustment of the amount (number) of contents being received.

  • Patent number: 9829362
Abstract: A container and spout assembly in which the spout is pivotally attached to the container. The spout is pivotally moveable between a closed position in which a spout exterior wall is flush with the container sidewall and an open position in which a spout interior wall is flush with the sidewall and spout legs frictionally engage a detent. The spout accommodates a metered dose of product. In the fully open position, the spout seals the opening in the sidewall to prevent product from exiting the container while a metered dose is dispensed from the open spout.

  • Patent number: 8794503
Abstract: The invention comprises a frame (2) secured to a container and a movable body (3) articulated with one end of the frame (2) by means of a hinge (4) formed along a common edge of the bodies articulated therewith, said movable body (3) having two side walls (6) and a front wall (7). The invention is characterized in that both ends of the upper inner edge (2c) of the frame include a pair of flexible tongues (17) which, in the closed position, engage with respective recesses (10a) on the upper edge of the side walls (6) of the movable body (3) and on the end adjacent to the front wall (7). The movable body (3) and the fixed frame (2) include a cavity (12) next to the hinge (4), said cavity allowing the movement of material in the closed position. The invention provides an improved sealing and closure system.

  • Patent number: 5988447
Abstract: A measuring spout for installation on a container that dispenses particulate material. One embodiment of the spout measures and dispenses variable amounts of particulate material. Another embodiment of the spout measures and dispenses a fixed amount of particulate material. The spout comprises a wedge-shaped spout member that pivots through an opening formed in a wall of the container. The opening in the container has a gate which, in the preferred embodiment, acts as the back wall to the spout, separating the particulate material in the spout from the particulate material remaining in the container. Thus, as the spout opens, the front wall moves further away from the back wall, thereby, providing a variably sized chamber depending on how far the spout is opened from the container wall. The particulate material is measured by tilting the container so as to let the contents fill the spout.

  • Patent number: 5791528
Abstract: A measuring and dispensing spout is provided for use with a container having a panel with an opening therein. The measuring and dispensing spout includes a front face, a pair of side faces and a rear face, formed to provide an open-topped hopper. The spout is mounted within the opening of the panel for pivoting movement between open and closed positions. At least the front face of the open-topped hopper is of substantially transparent material with volumetric indicia thereon, to enable a user to visually confirm the amount of container contents within the spout, even when the spout is closed.

  • Patent number: 5667106
Abstract: A cap for use with an associated container comprises a measuring spout which is wholly contained inside the cap and does not protrude into the container. The cap comprises a cap wall which is adapted to provide an opening in which the spout is seated. The spout comprises a forward wall and at least one side wall which forms an open-topped hopper. The spout pivots between a closed, filling position and an open, dispensing position. The spout is formed from a visually translucent material, such as any of a number of commonly available plastics. Volumetric measuring indicia are disposed on an outer surface of the forward wall of the spout, thereby allowing a user to determine and adjust the desired volume of the material prior to discharge of the material from the spout. The cap is also provided with upwardly and inwardly tapered portions which guide the material into the hopper.

  • Patent number: 5038963
Abstract: A rigid piston-type multi-cavity dispensing container for simultaneous coextrusion of two or more flowable materials in a predetermined proportion, such as multicomponent toothpaste and the like which, upon relative compression of the upper and lower body members, produces a single, banded, unmixed stream of material. The container has a unique outlet assembly which is arranged to cause the outlet streams of material to flow towards each other. The outlet assembly maintains the segregation of the different materials as they move simultaneously outward through the outlet.

  • Patent number: 4978041
Abstract: A receptacle and dispenser for tennis balls and the like including, a portable barrel-like receptacle mounted upon a tubular wheeled frame. The lower edge of the receptacle at its foremost point is removed so as to present a dispensing mouth of a size greater that the diameter of a single tennis ball. A spring tension hinged tray extends beyond the circumference of the barrel to one side of the dispensing mouth so as to receive a plurality of tennis balls as they gravitate out of the receptacle, with the tray adapted to be manually pivoted about its hinged connection so as to expose the tennis balls therein for removal therefrom. A stop is placed in the path of pivotal travel of the tray to restrict its movement relative to the receptacle opening.

  • Patent number: 4111351
Abstract: A paperboard carton for dry, flowable products such as laundry soap, powdered milk and the like is characterized by a pour spout positioned within an opening in the side of the carton which spout is capable of containing a predetermined amount of material, sealing the opening in the carton after the spout container is filled, sealing the opening in the carton when not in use, and allowing a free flow of material when in a certain position. The spout is also composed of paperboard or similar material and is inexpensively assembled and shipped with the main carton. A special wiping and sealing mechanism ensures absence of leakage in the area of the spout. The spout is provided with an automatic locking arrangement which enables it to be shipped within the filled carton in a flat condition so as to create no voids within the carton and then be set up into a permanent pour spout by the user in one simple operation.
