The lid comprises a central wall and a dispenser comprising a dispenser flap hingedly connected to the central wall and moveable between a closed configuration and an open configuration at least partially exposing a dispenser opening in the central wall. The dispenser further can include a projection extending from the dispenser flap. The lid further comprises a locking feature for maintaining the dispenser in the open configuration. The locking feature can comprise a locking recess in the central wall for at least partially receiving the projection. The dispenser opening can be located on a centerline of the lid, and the locking recess can be spaced away from the centerline of the lid.

Abstract: An easy-opening end closure that may also be reclosed, suitable for joining to a container. A cover panel is bonded around its perimeter to an end panel with a rotatable lever interposed between them. To open the closure, a user applies force to the rotating lever to move it axially around an attachment point and thereby progressively debonding a substantial portion of the bond perimeter. The closure incorporates means for equilibrating pressure in the internal headspace of the container with the outside ambient for improved pouring.

A shut off assembly is provided at the outlet for providing a source of compressed air through the shut off assembly to effect mixing of the liquid containing solids stored in the container when the shut off assembly is in a closed position so that when the liquid containing solids is removed from the container it is homogenously mixed.

At the juncture between the spout and the funnel, a valve is provided. The valve is thumb operated, so only one hand is required to open and close the valve. A carrying strap and a handle help make the fuel container portable. A window strip in the fuel container permits the user to observe the level of the fuel within.

Abstract: A resealable closure for beverage containers uses initial physical interference to initiate a seal between a sealing flap and a dispensing port in a lid of the resealable closure. Once the initial seal is achieved, a pressure differential develops, resulting in additional force tending to bias the sealing flap toward the dispensing port. The sealing flap is actuated by an external drive means, that can also be a dust cover to prevent debris from contaminating any surfaces that may come into contact with the contents of the beverage container. There is a slack between initial movement of the external drive means and initial movement of the sealing flap, during which the pressure differential is preferably equalized through the unsealing of a vent hole in the resealable closure.

The pliant side panels are strong enough to retain the ballast within the hopper when the door is closed, yet are flexible enough to yield when ballast flowing out of the hopper becomes wedged between the side panel and the door as the door closes. Strengthening ribs reinforce the pliant side panels and may be embedded within them. The discharge door assembly is readily adapted for automatic, motor-actuated operation.

Two marginal portions of the partition are adjacent the bottom wall of the housing at opposite sides of the nozzle and define with the bottom wall a number of paths in the form of passages and/or channels for the flow of fluid from the first compartment into the second compartment. The inclination of the marginal portions of the partition relative to the bottom wall of the housing is adjustable by hand or by one or more motors to thereby select the rate of fluid flow along the respective path or paths.

A sliding plate provided with a metering opening is moved between two slide rings by a drive in a compression-proof slide casing. The discharge side slide ring has an inside diameter corresponding to 3 times to 10 times the nominal width of the intake. The slide casing is filled with a lubricant which is under a pressure equal to or higher than the operating pressure of the penumatic conveying system.

Abstract: The invention relates to a mixing head for the mixing of at least two components forming a synthetic material, the mixing head comprising a mixing chamber and a discharging channel which is guided in a guide channel having a symmetrical cross-section. The mixing head is operable to provide mechanical self-cleaning of the discharging channel and mixing chamber by a discharging piston. An intensive mixing of the reaction components is achieved along with stabilization of the liquid mixture of the components after the mixture has left the mixing chamber in that a throttle member provided at the downstream end of the mixing chamber, is movable in and out of the cross-section of the channel and forms in its throttling position, a throttle slit which is flared towards the outlet opening of the discharging channel like a diffusor.

Abstract: A rotatable closure and dispensing device for collapsible tubes and/or containers, wherein a cap member is rotatably mounted to the nozzle of a tube. The cap is formed having a discharge port which is offset from the central axis of the cap and the nozzle, so as to be rotatably aligned with a second discharge port disposed in the nozzle. The cap and nozzle are provided with interlocking members whereby the cap can be sealed and locked in either an open or a closed position. The cap includes a tamper indicator that must be broken in order to rotate the cap.

Abstract: A pill container and permanently attached cap form a three-sided prism-shaped safety bottle. The container is provided with a top to which the cap is secured permanently by a large-headed shaft from the cap protruding into the container top through an elongated slot with a detent at each end. A slot in one side of the cap rides on a track protruding from the top of the container. An indented section of the cap fits within a dispenser opening on top of the track. Pushing from one side causes the cap to move laterally along a straight portion of the track while the shaft is forced through the tight slot from the first detent to the second. The cap is then pivoted around the shaft, guided by a curved portion of track. A protrusion on the track stops the cap rotation when the opening is exposed to dispense the pills one at a time therethrough. Strength but not manual dexterity is required for the two discrete opening steps.

The opening is regulated by a sliding pivoting valve disposed beneath the opening within a trough that is adapted to be connected to a pneumatic conveyer. Movement of the sliding pivoting valve is accomplished by an operating mechanism from either side of the railway car.
