Abstract: A system and method for storing a cupped brassiere and panty in an undergarment travel case is provided. The travel case has a lid and bowl shaped container that are connected to each other by a living hinge. The bowl shaped container has a recess that is formed in a generally flat bottom of the container. The recess receives underwire portions of the cupped brassiere. The brassiere is folded such that the cups face each other in a mirror image arrangement with the underwire portions being positioned against one another. Upon insertion, downward pressure is applied to the underwire portions of the brassiere. This pressure locates and positions the brassiere in the recess of the travel case. Next, a set of brassiere support straps connected to the brassiere are then folded and placed within a central interior portion of the cups. The panty is then folded and placed next to the support straps. The cover is then closed and the case is latched together through latching components.

Abstract: A bra-washing device includes a shell and a divider removably insertable into the shell. The divider keeps one cup of the bra in one location of the shell and the other cup of the bra in another location of the shell. A system for washing garments includes a shell and two or more inserts each interchangeably coupleable to the shell. Each insert includes a three-dimensional form that is different from the three-dimensional form(s) of the other inserts. The openings in the shell may be sized to inhibit a bra strap from extending through the shell through the openings. A device may have buoyancy such that substantially all of the garment is maintained below the surface of water in a washing machine when the device and the garment are placed in the washing machine.

Abstract: To provide an utensil adapted to wash a brassiere without loss of shape in cup portions, damage of fabric such as lace and cloth, and deformation and twisting of wires. A brassiere holder (20) is configured by two cup receiving portions (21), a connecting portion (22) and a hook portion (24). When the cup receiving portions are pressed from the side, the connecting portion is elastically deformed to allow the two cup receiving portions to be folded back on each other such that a part of a flange portion of the two cup receiving portions is brought into contact with the other part of the flange portion and a gap gradually increasing toward the upper side is formed between the two cup receiving portions.

  • Patent number: 7350679
Abstract: A container for supporting a brassiere or a similar garment for cleaning and storage includes opposed flat plate members connected by a hinge, and opposed container cup members connected to the respective plate members at hinge connections for folding the container cup members over the plate members and for folding the plate members with respect to each other to form a closed container for supporting a brassiere. The plate members include hinged support members, each having an arcuate cross shape, for supporting brassiere cups between the plate members and the container cup members. Spaced apart clips secure the brassiere straps to the plate members. Spaced apart latches releasably secure the cup members to the plate members and the plate members to each other for placing the container in a compact folded position.

Abstract: A frame for maintaining the shape of a brassiere during drying and storage includes one or more hemispherically-shaped shells having a plurality of apertures formed therethrough. The shells may be formed from a first polymeric material and may further include a second polymeric material disposed on an outer surface thereof, to frictionally retain a cup of the brassiere. In one embodiment, first and second shells are joined by an interconnection extending therebetween. The interconnection may maintain the shells in a tandem arrangement, or may permit the shells to be positioned such that their respective peripheral edges confront one another.

Abstract: An improved headwear shaping device which is compact, lightweight, modular and contains an arcuate channel for receiving the visor portion of athletic headwear, shaping the visor by applying equal pressure throughout the perimeter of the visor. The shaping device also provides a stabilizing arm perpendicular to the inserted visor causing the visor to extend parallel to the horizontally axis of the cap for display and storage. The unitary shaped body of the invention is comprised of a lightweight, compact, cost-effective rigid material which also provides for enhanced portability of headwear while not in use.

Abstract: The present invention provides a cap brim shaper for shaping the brim of a sports cap comprising a body member with at least two grooves. Both grooves are sufficiently long and wide to receive the brim of a sports cap. The second groove's curvature is greater than the first groove's curvature and the second groove is nested within the first groove. This shaper may be incorporated into a variety of systems for transporting or storing one or more caps while shaping the brim(s). These systems include supports which may be flat boards for mounting, boxes, or display cases.

In its preferred form, the brassiere cup support members are rotatable relative to the lower housing member so that non-concentrically positioned domed-shaped brassiere cup contacting surfaces connected thereto can be moved toward and away from each other to correspond to the natural distance between the cups of the brassiere(s). The upper housing member defines a planar surface upon which additional garment storage receptacles or other articles can be placed.

  • Patent number: 6742683
Abstract: A device for washing, drying, and storing brassieres and bikini tops and the like comprises an outer shell having two halves that have a plurality of holes. A foraminous inner form, which also contains a plurality of holes, has an exterior surface shaped like the contours of a padded bra cup breast side. The bra cups' breast side rests against the inner form's exterior surfaces to prevent it and the bra's underwires from losing their natural curvature. The inner form is hollow and provides space for the containment of a bra's shoulder and back straps. The inner form is secured to the outer shell's two halves by a first hinge, which allows the inner form to swing from first half to second half and vice versa, and also allows first half and second half to open and close like a clamshell.
