  • Patent number: 11927426
Abstract: A holster assembly includes a holster having an interior shaped to receive a handgun, and an entrance. An ejection port restraint pivotally connected to the holster includes a latch and is biased toward an obstruction position for engaging the latch with the ejection port of the handgun. A hood restraint pivotally connected to the holster body adjacent the entrance is configured to pivot between a non-obstruction position to permit the handgun to enter and to be drawn, and an obstruction position at which the hood restraint at least partially blocks the entrance. The hood restraint is biased toward the non-obstruction position. A release device mounted on the holster body is configured to actuate both the ejection port restraint and the hood restraint, each toward the respective non-obstruction position thereof, in response to a single movement by a user to allow the handgun to be withdrawn from the holster.

Abstract: Quick release assembly comprises a bag and a material organizer. The bag defines an opening flap and a fastener. The fastener includes a first fastening element provided on the opening flap and a second fastening element provided on a side wall of the bag. The second fastening element removably couples with the first fastening element. The material organizer is received within the bag and defines a pull tab that extends from the material organizer to outside of the bag. The pull tab defines an aperture sized for the first fastening element to pass therethrough for detachably coupling with the second fastening element to form a closed configuration of the bag, thereby securing the material organizer within the bag. Pulling the pull tab detaches the coupling between the first and second fastening elements.

  • Patent number: 5170919
Abstract: A hand gun in a holster is completely concealed by a simulated carrying pouch. A backing is mounted on a wearer, as with a belt around the wearer's waist. A holster is mounted on the backing completely within the area defined by the top, bottom and ends of the backing. A flap, permanently attached at the bottom to the backing but releasably attached by hook and pile fasteners (VELCRO.RTM.) at the top and two ends of the backing defines a textile material (fabric) or leather container which simulates a carrying pouch and completely conceals the holster and hand gun. Pockets may be provided in the flap. The holster is reversibly mounted on the backing using hook and pile fasteners, and hook and pile fastener straps releasably hold the hand gun within the holster. To gain access to the hand gun, the hook and pile fasteners at the top and two ends of the backing and flap are detached to completely expose the handgun for ready access.

  • Patent number: 5033663
Abstract: A holster which is designed to carry securely a number of different sizes of handguns with equal proper fit. The holster is preferably formed of a composite fabric-foam-fabric material, or in certain cases, of leather. The holster sides are secured together partially in the region adjacent to the underside of the frame near the trigger guard. A separate welt member is securable between the two sides of the holster and presents to the frame in the region of the trigger guard, a smooth conforming surface which urges the handgun into a snug fit within the holster. A typical interchangeable welt is a thick rubber or rubber-like washer with a radius conforming to the curve of the front of the trigger guard as it joins the frame toward the front of the handgun. The interchangeable welt may be held in place by a screw and nut or other fastener which may pass through opposite sides of the holster.
