  • Patent number: 6851591
Abstract: A hang tag to be suspended from a chain below the neck or attached to the shirt pocket of a wearer so as to enable the wearer to reliably carry a pair of glasses, or the like, at times when the glasses are not in use such as, for example, while exercising, bathing, enjoying the beach or, in the case of sunglasses, in cloudy conditions. The hang tag includes an elongated body having a longitudinally extending track formed therethrough. A thumb operated adjustable push pad is located in and slidable along the track. One arm of the pair of glasses to be carried is moved through the track and folded over the bottom edge thereof. A pushing force is then applied to the adjustable push pad to cause the push pad to slide axially along the track and into engagement with the hinge that connects the folded arm to the frame of the glasses. Accordingly, the push pad exerts a clamping force on the hinge to prevent the unintended removal of the eyeglasses from the hang tag.

  • Patent number: 5934530
Abstract: The golf accessory organizer allows a golfer to comfortably carry and easily access items such as tees, golf balls, golf-gloves, divot tools, ball markers, personal items or other small-type golfing accessories while playing a round of golf. Additionally, the device does not interfere with a golfer's swing or cause discomfort while the golfer is moving. The disclosed device is easy to manufacture, reliable, and lightweight as the main supporting member of the device is primarily manufactured from injection-molded plastic. Integral in this supporting member are tee holders and a ball marker holder and a pouch for holding golf balls may pivotally hang from the supporting member. Alternatively, a golf ball is retained in a pressure clip hinged to the supporting member. The supporting member may have an area covered with a hook or loop material for holding various small items such as a divot tool, golf glove, or sunglasses.

  • Patent number: 5931358
Abstract: An adjustable holster for accommodating a variety of handguns of differing sizes and shapes includes a rigid front spine member and two substantially rigid spine members and two sidewalls. At least one of the sidewalls is constructed of flexible interior, exterior, and core layers wherein the core layer is made of resiliently deformable material that will not stretch. An adjacent member mounted between the rear spine members carries a movable engaging element that contacts a handgun and forces it forwardly against the front of the holster. An upper adjustment screw mounted between the rear spine members is used to pull the spine members and sidewalls together to adjust the draw of the handgun. A lower adjustment screw mounted between the rear spine members is used to pull the rear spine members and sidewalls together to narrow the lower opening of the holster for different size guns.

Abstract: A beverage dispensing system is disclosed for use during recreational activities. The beverage dispensing system includes a container and a holding element which is used to retain the container and secure it to the person. The beverage container is made of a lightweight, squeezable, durable material having either a spray, nozzle, tubestraw, pump, or poppet valve. The beverage dispensing system may include fasteners useful in securing the container to the holding element. The holding element can be made of a durable, lightweight material and includes a pocket or functionally similar attachment dimensioned and configured to receive the container. In practice, the user secures the holding element onto the appropriate body part (e.g. forearm) and then places the container, filled with an appropriate quantity of a beverage, into the pocket. The container is now within easy reach of the user, and outdoor exercises may be easily performed.

  • Patent number: 5828301
Abstract: An electronically activated holster that releasably secures a weapon to the holster. A locking mechanism releases the weapon upon receiving an electrical signal generated when certain conditions are present. These predetermined conditions are selected by a user and these inputs can be sensed with photosensitive devices attached to the holster that detect bar codes on a user's hand or glove so that a predetermined pattern can be read and conveyed to a control circuit, such as a central processing unit. In turn, the control circuit records the event and causes the locking mechanism to release the weapon if the necessary conditions are present. Alternatively, an ultrasonic transmitter can be worn by a user in a wristband and a cooperative receiver on the holster designed to be activated when a predetermined proximity is achieved. An alarm output is provided to visually or audibly broadcast a violated condition.
