After the device has been attached to a handle of another object, a bottle (4) or other object is wrapped in the first side of the loop (6) and the distal end of the strap is placed around the bottle and pulled through the buckle (8) until the bottle is securely held in place.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the frame is formed by a number of fabric members sewn and stitched together so as to form a lightweight construction. Preferably, the members are stitched together so as to form pockets along the sides of the frame and an interior storage space across the top of the frame. One or more U-shaped members, preferably formed from a metallic material, may be inserted into the pockets and the storage space so as to rigidify the frame. When taken out of the pockets and the interior storage space, the U-shaped members may be used by a camper/hiker to hold pots or the like over a camp fire.

In the preferred embodiment the holster includes a thumbreak which is used to allow the wearer to separate the snap fastener by downward movement of the wearer's thumb to separate the snap fastener parts and allow the handgun to be withdrawn. A supplementary latching device is present which is movable from a latching to an unlatching position. Several different embodiments of the invention are illustrated including a molded plastic latch which encircles a holster thumbreak and is slidable longitudinally along the thumbreak.

The flaps extend from the main body such that the second flap overlaps the first flap when the two are wrapped in opposite directions around the recreational board. The overlapping surfaces of the two flaps are secured together to releasably retain the board. A connector is fixed to the second flap and extends from the rear portion of the carrier to the front portion of the carrier where it terminates in a grip. A force exerted on the grip subjects the connector to tension, causes the second flap to be separated from the first flap, and releases the board. In another embodiment, the connector extends through apertures in the front and rear portions of the main body.

The bottle is also formed such that in the retracted position it nests inside the reel housing. The bottle is retractable to the holder after taking a drink, and the bottle is retained by the holder and cannot be dropped.
