Flaccid Attaching Means Looped Around Neck Or Crossing Shoulder Patents (Class 224/257)
  • Patent number: 4827578
Abstract: The harness comprises a carrying strap and a gripper. The carrying strap is formed from a soft material. Another strap formed from a stronger, less resilient fabric is attached to the soft strap at uniformly spaced intervals and in such a way that the second strap forms loops at its points of attachment to the soft strap. With this arrangement, the soft strap can only stretch until the loops become taut. Thereafter, the stronger second strap carries the load and this prevents the soft strap from tearing when heavy loads are carried. The gripper is formed from a resilient material and comprises a first plate and a second plate which are connected together by an arcuate web. One of the plates of the gripper has a flat body contacting surface and a loop is positioned in the arcuate web between the first and second plates for connection to a device to be carried. A plurality of pins are formed on at least one plate of the gripper.

  • Patent number: 4768689
Abstract: A multi-purpose sling includes an elongated flexible strap with a hook attached to one end, with the other end of the strap attached to the middle bar of a slide buckle threaded on the strap, thereby forming an adjustable loop. A second hook is attached to a ring which is threaded onto the strap in the adjustable loop. Each hook is J-shaped and large enough to freely hold the string of a compound bow.In a second embodiment, a hook is attached to one end of a flexible strap and the strap is then looped through a large ring. The strap is then threaded through a ring attached to the strap near the first hook, and then through a second ring which is loose on the strap. The other end of the strap is then fastened to the large ring to form a double loop arrangement. A second hook is connected to the loose ring. In this embodiment, the hooks are generally U-shaped with a narrow throat portion which will snap onto a ring or similar member on the item to be carried.

  • Patent number: 4208826
Abstract: A watertight, buoyant fishing tackle box designed to be worn by the fisherman strapped to his torso is disclosed. Parallel rows of individual compartment trays containing the appropriate lures, tackle, flies etc. are inserted into a housing cavity from the top. The compartment trays, together with gasket means, form a watertight top for the housing, thereby enhancing the buoyancy of the fisherman should he slip or fall while in the water. In use, the fisherman draws the individual tray upward, out of the housing, where it swings forward resting on a flanged lip of the housing to provide ready access. The trays include a hinged or removable top to allow easy access to its contents.
