Abstract: In a strap assembly for carrying a portable device, in order to protect a user against the action of an unexpected sudden external force, a cord for installing the strap assembly to the portable device is passed through an installation hole of a coupling from the inside such that a knot of a strap is supported by the rim of the installation hole. Coupling holes in both ends of the strap hung from the body of the user are fitted over support posts formed on the inner bases of first and second coupling members. Tapered surfaces are formed on portions of the cylindrical side surfaces of support posts. When the first and second coupling members are closed together with their rims superposed, protrusions of one member engage recesses of another coupling member. If a tension load in excess of a given level is applied to the portable device, a reactive force from the strap acts upon the tapered surfaces, resulting in force components that release the engaged state of these protrusions and recesses.

Abstract: A multipurpose carrying system, comprising a matchable shoulder strap and one or more of the following components: non shoulder-touching carrying belts or cables; related connecting and carrying connectors; a hooking and hookable handle; a wrapping belt; a strap-wrapper, a foldable and removable padded body and; and ballast container described in various embodiments. From the various combinations made possible by all or some of the above-mentioned components are obtained different embodiments of a modular shoulder carrying assembly for one or two-shoulder hands-free carrying or pulling of objects persons, animals, or apparatuses. The shoulder carrying assembly is able to change its features, as a user can detach carrying belts or cables from the matchable shoulder strap and substitute them with different belts or cables. Some of the parts can be detached from the carrying assembly and used alone for hanging, keeping in place, and/or handling of carried objects.

Abstract: A scooter carrying structure comprises a shoulder strap and two retaining rings which are fastened with the upper end and the lower end of the collapsible upright handlebar of the scooter. The shoulder strap is provided at both ends with a retaining hook and is retained by the upright handlebar such that the retaining hooks of the shoulder strap are engaged with the two retaining rings of the upright handlebar. As the upright handlebar is collapsed, the shoulder strap is worn over the shoulder of a person for carrying the scooter.

Abstract: An adjustable sling system provides a quick release fitting which enables a sling system to transition from a close to the body quick fire position to an away from the body aiming position. The adjustable sling system incorporates a first end having a first attachment fitting carried closer to the forward grip of a rifle having a first portion of the first end attached to an extended rubber core web surrounded section. A release clip has a first end supported by a tension ring which is supported along a length of webbing extending from the first portion, and includes a riveted connection to the web strap and reinforcement plate as it extends from the first end. The slope in the direction of capture is calculated with respect to the force of the spring action to insure that the close body position is maintained absent a deliberate forward aiming motion.

Abstract: A strap for guitars and the like made from recycled seat belt components. The strap includes as its components a male seat belt buckle member insertably retainable within a female seat belt buckle member, a first length of seat belt strap material and a second length of seat belt strap material, first and second slip buckles; and a pair of connecting members, each having a length of sheet material having an aperture defined adjacent an end thereof.

Abstract: A garment and a device are provided having at least one pocket attached to the garment or device accessible via a zipper or other fastener that provides access to another interior compartment formed by the pocket as well as a method for providing a garment or device with a waterproof compartment. The fastener is preferably a waterproof zipper that is attachable via a process requiring the pocket and the zipper to be attached by of gluing, stitching and/or heat-sealing the same. As a result, a completely watertight and waterproof pocket is formed allowing the user of the garment or the device to carry therein items that typically may not be exposed to water.

Abstract: Adjacent a side wall of a casing, a strap supporting post 49a is formed integrally with and extends form the inner surface of the top panel 41a of the upper casing half 41. The strap supporting post 49a has a screw bore 51 extending from the end face of the projecting end thereof and therethrough deep into the top panel 41a. A reentrant cavity 56 is formed in one side wall of the casing such that the post 49a is positioned generally in the center of the cavity. A metal-made screw 54 is passed through a through-bore in the lower casing half 42 and threaded into the screw bore to fasten the upper casing half 41 and the lower casing half 42 together. A strap is hooked on the post 49a by being inserted into the cavity from one side of the post 49a to wrap around the post and then being pulled out of the cavity from the opposite side of the post.

Abstract: A strap is disclosed comprising a bottle-neck-strap-hole (13) with the measurements predetermined, in accordance with the bottle-neck size, the bottle-neck-strap-hole is cut to fit tightly around a bottle-neck. The bottle-neck-strap is designed to be worn comfortably over the shoulder, around the neck or hung on an object. The Bottle-neck-strap (10) made out of ethylene-vinyl-acetate, which has a hand like foam rubber, is a preferred practical application of this invention. This invention can also be made in a two piece bottle-neck-strap, with the area around the bottle-neck-strap-hole (13) referred to as a bottle-neck-collar (15). A rope, cord or string can be attached to the hole (16) at each end of the bottle-neck-collar; this completes the utility-bottle-neck-strap design.

Abstract: A compact and versatile device designed to aid the safe lifting and carrying (in an upright position) of large and awkward man-made sheet materials used in the construction industry, so developed to reduce the hazardous and tiring act of bending the back or legs in order to lift heavy sheet materials in common use. The tool is made of strong and durable materials, whilst remaining small enough to be carried easily on the person, so remaining ready for immediate use and consequently more likely to be used than some other, sometimes complicated, devices already on the market. The device consists of a strong carrying shoe suitable to support the lower edge of the sheet material, with a loop of strong but flexible webbing strap which is secured through a purpose-made slot in the carrying shoe. This strap, when wrapped around the operatives hand or wrist, forms an easy means by which a board may then be lifted clear of the ground, and carried away to another place.

Abstract: A harness attachment to shoulder strap harness for holding a guitar in the front of the player which is attached to the left fret end and right strumming end of the guitar. The present invention has an additional right srumming end attachment which mounts over the right strumming end attachment of the shoulder strap harness. The attachment of the present invention includes a lower mounting member and an upper adjustable loop member movably attachable to the player's right hip area in a number of embodiments.

Abstract: The invention relates to an auxiliary device for a paint barrel which comprises a supporting bar bridged at two opposite sides of a paint barrel body by means of a pivoting attachment structure, a supporting portion to lean on the abdomen of a user provided at the middle part of the supporting bar and a strap attached to the barrel body. In use, the strap hangs on the user's neck and the supporting portion of the supporting bar leans on the abdomen of the user so that said barrel body suspends naturally in front of the user. In this way, the user can easily take the paint from the paint barrel, thereby achieving the purpose of convenience in use.

Abstract: A quick disconnect coupling for adapting any guitar strap having a pair of ends with throughbores to any guitar having a pair of guitar strap-attaching pegs that engage the throughbores in the pair of ends of the guitar strap of the guitar, respectively. The coupling includes a first portion, a second portion, first apparatus, and second apparatus. The first portion engages a first guitar strap-attaching peg of the pair of guitar strap-attaching pegs of the guitar. The second portion is releasably engaged to the first portion and engages the throughbore in a first end of the pair of ends of the guitar strap, with the other throughbore in a second end of the pair of ends of the guitar strap of the guitar engaging with a second guitar strap-attaching peg of the pair of guitar strap-attaching pegs of the guitar. The first apparatus releasably engages the second portion to the first portion. The second apparatus engages the second portion to the first end of the guitar strap of the guitar.

Abstract: The invention relates to a mobile grill, more particularly a horizontal grill. The grill is fed by a power supply, preferably a liquid gas tank, situated on the rear side of the grill. In order to prevent injuries to the operator or persons in his or her surrounding area, safety devices are provided which cut off the gas supply in an case of emergency. The grill can be handled and carried by a single person.

Abstract: An adjustable shoulder carrying strap for longitudinal attachment to a ladder during transport. It provides for a balanced load of an otherwise cumbersome utilitarian device. The strap is adapted to be attached to a ladder by fasteners on the ends of the strap. Assembly includes mechanisms attached to a side surface of the ladder capable of accepting the fasteners attached to the strap thus providing support enabling a single individual to move a long heavy ladder conveniently into position for use at a work site.

Abstract: A non-slip carrying strap is used to carry loads over the shoulder or on the shoulder and helps prevent the strap from coming off of the shoulder. The non-slip carrying strap has a strap, the ends of which are attached to a load in conventional fashion. A flexible buffer member is attached to the medial portion of the strap. An elongate substantially flat body member has a plurality of knobby-nips disposed on substantially all of its outer surface and has a hollow interior that receives the buffer member. A first end portion encompasses and attaches to the two ends of the buffer member and the body member, while a second end portion encompasses the opposing ends of the two members.

Abstract: A modular child's harness and knapsack is disclosed having a waist belt, two shoulder straps, and gear that attaches to the waist belt and shoulder straps. The lower ends of the shoulder straps are foldable so that they may be folded up for use by a smaller child, and later unfolded as the child grows taller.

Abstract: A lashing system having one or more cord anchors fastenable to a stationary member in spaced apart relation, and one or more cord clips each having a first portion with a first cord engaging member releasably and coupleable to a first cord portion and a second portion with a second cord engaging member selectively and releasably coupleable to a second cord portion so as to accommodate a particular article stowage application. The cord anchors also have a cord engaging member releasably coupleable to the cord, whereby the cord may be selectively coupled to one or more cord anchors, and thus positioned selectively on the stationary member. The lashing system also preferably includes a cord hook coupled to a first cord portion and a hook portion engagable by hooking to another cord portion.

Abstract: A bag strap functions as a one-shoulder carrier or a two-shoulder carrier at any time according to the desire of the golfer. Reconfiguring the strap to convert from a one-shoulder type to a two-shoulder type, or visa versa, is easy and quick and can be accomplished even during a round of golf. The strap comprises two nested layers. When the two layers are secured together by a VELCRO hook and loop fastener and secured to upper and lower back rings by hooks, the strap functions as a one-shoulder strap. The nested configuration permits a comfortable, padded one-shoulder strap that is still reasonably thin and not unduly heavy and thick. Alternatively, strap layers may be separated from each other and the lower ring used as a slip through ring for an elongated belt secured by a slide-release buckle for encircling the golfer. Each layer is worn over a respective shoulder with the bag carried diagonally across the golfer's back.

Abstract: A strap assembly for a weed trimmer or similar tool designed to minimize or eliminate the strain associated with lifting and lowering the tool includes a pair of bungee cords each having two opposing ends. The first ends of the cords are coupled with a ring which is removably securable to a hook assembly mounted to the shaft of the weed trimmer. The cord is passed back and forth through a bracket and forms a loop allowing the length of each cord to be varied. Each loop is secured to an end of a shoulder pad. The design assures that the weight of the trimmer is supported by the strap assembly as opposed to the user's arms or wrists, regardless of the position of the trimmer.

Abstract: An apparatus for carrying and storing sleeping bags and other related items is disclosed having an adjustable enclosure formed by a strap having ends that pass through two substantially parallel tubes attached to, or formed on, the enclosure material. The straps ends have a clip that allows each end to be clipped to the body of the strap to form loops on each end that define the opening of the enclosure. Thereby the enclosure opening is adjustable in size to adapt to fit a single item such as a sleeping bag or combinations of articles to be carried or stored simultaneously.

Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for attaching an award to a ribbon having a stitched ribbon end loop for securely receiving and holding a ribbon anchor bar, and an improved fastener having a ribbon anchor bar and a fastening clip. The improved fastener is made of a bendable single piece of resilient, thin wire having a preformed memory. The fastening clip has an opening which is formed by two free ends. One free end is twisted and positioned underneath and against the other free end for creating tension in said lower free end against the upper free end. The other free end is above and against the first free end for creating tension in the lower free end against the upper free end. An open position is obtained by pressuring the first free end down to insert an award therein. By releasing the pressure, first free end resumes its initial closed position to hold the award in place. Alternatively, the improved ribbon has a anchor member having a hole for receiving an opposite end of a fastening member.

Abstract: A housing (101) for a portable two-way radio (100) includes a first aperture (107) located substantially at one end of the housing (101) for engaging an first attachment apparatus such as a belt clip (201). A second aperture (111) is located substantially at the opposite end of the radio housing (101) for engaging a second attachment apparatus. The first aperture (107) and the second aperture (111) are used with the belt clip (201) such that the clip may be secured within either the first aperture (107) or second aperture (111) for attachment to a user's body or other object. The attachment of the belt clip (201) is unique in that it can be bent without being disengaged from its associated aperture.

Abstract: A strap includes an elongate sheet of material with two end portions and a central portion. Each of the end portions is provided with a pair of lateral hooks dimensioned and configured to receive the plastic handles of a shopping bag or the like. The strap may be made from corrugated hollow core material, in which case it may be die cut, or it may be solid plastic injection molded. The strap may be uniform thickness or may be selectively reduced in thickness to save material and weight in those regions where the extra material is not essential to the integrity of the strap. Advantageously, the central portion is provided with one flat surface suitable for use on the shoulder and one contoured surface to conform to the shape of the hand and fingers to maximize comfort when the strap is carried by hand.

Abstract: A toy carrier and storage apparatus is disclosed for selectively attaching and storing a number of toys. The carrier may be worn over a shoulder or carrier carried by the hand. An extension toy carrier is also disclosed which may be attached to the toy carrier, or to a belt loop, backpack or the like. The toy carriers are provided with a number of carrying loops within which a stuffed, animal shaped or other toy may be inserted and maintained in a visible location for ready access and display.

Abstract: A spring clip having opposed teeth is attached to a lanyard. The lanyard may be worn around a user's neck. The spring clip with opposing teeth fits around and securely grasps the seal ring at the top of a conventional pressurized spray bottle. Alternatively, a spring band fits around the seal ring of a conventional pressurized spray bottle. A lanyard attached to the spring band allows the bottle to be hung from a user's neck or other part of the body for ease of access and use. In a third aspect, a band having a high friction or adhesive inner surface is applied to the main body of a conventional cylindrical pressurized spray bottle. A lanyard attached to the band allows the bottle to be hung from a part of the user's body as before.

Abstract: A multi-functional carrying device, including a strap with two ends which can be secured into loops, and a bag secured to the middle section of the strap. The bag is provided with a receiving element near its upper portion, which receiving element is capable of receiving the two ends of the strap, which strap then serves as shoulder straps for carrying the bag. A securing element is provided so that the bag can be compressed and secured along the middle section of the strap when the bag is not needed.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a dual loop shoulder strap (10) for carrying a golf bag (14) having a first loop (30) and a second loop (34). The first loop (30) is attached to a first connection point (32) on the golf bag (14) whereby an individual (12) inserts one arm through the first loop (30) to support the golf bag (14) on one shoulder (26). A second loop (34) is attached to a second connection point (35) on the golf bag (14) longitudinally spaced from the first connection point (32) whereby the individual (12) inserts another arm through the second loop (34) to support the golf bag (14) on another shoulder (28). The present invention is envisioned for use with a conventional type golf bag (14) having a tubular receptacle and a single shoulder strap (70) with two longitudinally spaced connection points (32) (35) therein, typically the connection points for connecting each end of the single shoulder strap (70).

Abstract: A clearing saw harness device comprising a pad, to which the clearing saw is detachably attachable, for bearing against a person's body, a harness for the pad, and a helical spring for attaching the pad to the harness for at least partially absorbing forces transmitted from the clearing saw. The pad comprises two flexible plate elements which are formed and interconnected to each other along opposed edge portions respectively thereof so that one of the plate elements is substantially planar and an other is curved. The harness includes a band which passes through a ring and both of a pair of slots in the pad. An end portion of the spring is attached to the ring and an other end portion of the spring is attached to the pad.

Abstract: A bottle holder is adapted to engage the neck of a bottle below an external annular flange of said neck, especially for suspending a bottle by means of a cord to the neck of a person. The bottle holder comprises, in combination, a cord, and a ring segment-shaped collar member made from an elastic material and comprising a ring segment comprising at each of its ends means for guiding and releasably clamping said cord such that said collar member and said cord may be set in untightened state on a container neck and then be gripped around the neck by pulling said cord and maintained gripped by said clamping means.

Abstract: A shoulder strap buffering device includes a seat, two springs, an inner confining member, and a cover. The seat is provided with a receiving slot and a plurality of grooves. The springs are disposed in the grooves of the seat. The inner confining member is located in the receiving slot of the seat such that the springs are urged by the inner confining member. The cover is joined with the seat such that the springs and the inner confining member are shielded and located by the cover. The seat and the inner confining member are provided respectively with an elongated hole for engaging the shoulder strap.

Abstract: A cup holder assembly having an upper user engaging section and a joined lower cup holder section which is offset both horizontally and vertically from the upper section to rest against the chest of the user's body. The upper section has a convex bowed out shape configured to engage the user's upper chest and provide for the offset to the lower joined cup holding section to engage the user's lower chest. Upper section spaced end holes permit the attachment of a through strap for the user to vertically support the holder. The lower holder section has a flat lower outwardly extending container support platform and a separated upper encircling container support ring both of which are joined to a vertical concave back support member which engages the cup.

Abstract: A bow support device comprising a spring-loaded alligator type clip for attachment to the nock of a loaded arrow which is suspended from an archer's person, allowing the archer to release his grasp on the bow for extended periods of time while stalking or awaiting the approach of wild game. A first embodiment utilizes an alligator type clip for securement of the device to the archer's clothing, as to the flap of a jacket pocket, while a second embodiment suspends the nock attaching clip from the archer's neck.

Abstract: A carrying attachment includes a clamping member and a retaining member. The clamping member includes a lug portion with a flat major surface, and left and right jaw arms which extend from the first lug portion and which are of a dimension sufficient for flexing toward each other. Each of the jaw arms includes a clamping segment that defines an inner clamping wall transverse to the flat major surface, and a first outer wall. The inner clamping walls of the clamping segments of the jaw arms are shaped so as to clamp a constricted part of a container therebetween. A hook end portion extends from the clamping segment and defines an inner wall and a second outer wall which are transverse to the flat major surface and which form deflection junctures with the inner clamping wall and the first outer wall. The hook end portion has a snapping protrusion that extends from the second outer wall in a direction opposite to the inner wall.

Abstract: A spring interposed between a golf bag and a carrying strap for the golf bag. The spring will flex when the golf bag is carrying the golf bag thereby reducing the amount of stress placed on the shoulder of the golfer.

Abstract: A carrier for protective sports helmets having ear holes is disclosed. The carrier is also capable of carrying other types of equipment. The carrier is a telescopic pole of two sections with a compression knob which allows the pole to be locked at a particular length. A fabric strap with swivel hooks is attached to a ring at either end of the pole. The fabric strap has a pad which makes the invention easier to carry on the shoulder of the user. The user will detach one end of the fabric strap and slide the telescopic pole through the ear holes of the protective helmets. The user will then reattach the fabric strap and use the fabric strap to carry the pole and helmets.

The strap attachment unit being attachable to a strap and the musical instrument attachment unit being attachable to a musical instrument.

Abstract: An article carrier strap apparatus includes an article-engaging strap assembly which includes a first article-engaging-strap end, a first article-engaging-strap connector attached to the first article-engaging-strap end, a second article-engaging-strap end, a second article-engaging-strap connector connected to the second article-engaging-strap end, a middle article-engaging-strap portion located between the first article-engaging-strap end and the second article-engaging-strap end, and a first strap-length adjustment assembly located in the middle article-engaging-strap portion. A support strap assembly supports the article-engaging strap assembly. The support strap assembly includes a closed, support-loop portion for supporting the middle article-engaging-strap portion of the article-engaging strap assembly and includes a user-supported portion connected to the closed, support-loop portion.

Abstract: A convertible protective case for instruments such as binoculars, cameras and the like is comprises a flexible pouch slidingly received on a strap secured to the instrument. The pouch has a lower central opening for insertion and removal of the instrument, and side apertures through which the strap passes. The case is made of a single piece and ply of fabric or composite material folded and joined to define the pouch. Positive closure elements are provided adjacent to the central opening. A biasing fold is formed between an upper fold and the central opening to urge the pouch into a folded or stored configuration wherein it serves as a strap pad worn behind a user's neck. For conversion into its protective configuration, the pouch is unfolded, slid toward the instrument and inverted over the instrument. The closure elements are placed in mutually facing relation both in the folded and stored configuration and in the opened, protective configuration.

Abstract: A carrying adaptor for a compound bow includes an elongate body member, a catch member securely fastened to the body member and having a hook-like member for receiving and holding a flexible support member such as a strap, and a sleeve slidably mounted upon the exterior of the body member for retaining the flexible support member with the hook-like member.

Abstract: A boot carrier having a pair of support members insertable into the interior of each boot to bear against the inside heel portion of each boot. A retainer device taking the form of an expandable, segmented clam-shell type or a buckled strap is employed to releasably secure the carrier to each boot. A tether strap detachably connects the pair of support members together for grasping by the user in order to transport the boots from place to place. Each boot may have a sports article attached such as a set of roller blades, snow skis or the like.

Abstract: A strap for positioning a cane when it is not in use includes a retaining strap adapted to be secured around a cane and a flexible sling strap secured to the retaining strap and defining a sling for positioning or retrieving the cane. A releasable fastening member is secured to the retaining strap and adjustable between an open and closed position wherein the retaining strap is secured around the cane in the closed position.
