Abstract: A finger support apparatus for supporting a pinky finger during use of a smart phone includes a mounting portion configured to plug into a port of a smart phone case, the port being positioned along a bottom edge of the case. The finger support apparatus includes a body portion rotatably coupled to the mounting portion and rotatably movable to a desired orientation, i.e., to be optimally positioned depending on a user's preference in how the smart phone is held. The body portion may include an ergonomic configuration to enhance grip of a user's finger and has a tactile surface. A low-capacity battery may be positioned in the body portion for transferring electrical power to the smart phone when plugged into the smart phone port. A charging cap situated atop the mounting portion includes electrical storage media for storing electrical current from an electric source for transfer to the auxiliary battery.

Abstract: A backpack may comprise a main body defining a first compartment, a first shoulder strap extending from the main body, a second shoulder strap extending from the main body, a cinching layer disposed adjacent an exterior surface of the main body, a first cinching cord coupled to the first shoulder strap and the second shoulder strap, and a second cinching cord coupled to the main body and extending through at least a portion of the cinching layer, wherein the second cinching cord is slideably coupled to the first cinching cord such that a tension applied to the first cinching cord causes the cinching layer to apply a compression force from the cinching layer toward the front exterior surface of the main body.

Abstract: A retractable shoulder strap for portable objects, such as bags, purses, briefcases or carry-on luggage, comprises a shoulder pad, an elongated strip of pliant material, a plurality of holes positioned at substantially uniform intervals along the length of the elongated strip, and retractors located inside the shoulder pad. Extendible guide wires passing through the plurality of holes connect the ends of the elongated strip to the retractors, which are spring-biased to automatically retract the guide wires and stow the elongated strip inside internal storage spaces in the shoulder pad, thereby eliminating slack in the strap when no tension is applied to the ends of the elongated strip. When tension is applied to the ends of the elongated strip, the portions of the elongated strip stowed in the internal storage spaces of the shoulder pad are automatically extracted, thereby increasing the length of the strap to facilitate normal over-the-shoulder use.

Abstract: This is a skateboard carrier strap that is designed in a manner to that of a waist belt. This is a skateboard carrier strap that is worn in said manner when not appropriating a skateboard. It is a carrier body strap in its separated state [FIG. 2] having a lower carrier body strap 10a member and an upper carrier body strap member 10b. Additionally there are loop straps 12 members located and attached at each end of upper member carrier body strap and lower member carrier body strap. Alternatively there are VELCRO (hook&loop) fastener open loop straps with high friction adhesive inlay, making this skateboard carrier suitable to appropriate multiple dimensions of long boards, skate boards and deck boards. The essence of this present art; it is a skateboard carrier strap designed and styled to be worn like a fashionable belt, when not being used to appropriate a skateboard. It is a no bulk, unobtrusive skateboard carrier suitable and desirable to those skilled in the present art.

The left shoulder bar is hingedly connected at its bottom portion to the upright support connection section so as to at least rotate through an arc from a first position to a second position and from the second position to the first position. There is also a right shoulder bar having a top portion and a bottom portion, the top portion of the right shoulder bar extending forward in an inverted hook shape for hooking over a shoulder.

The backpack includes an optics storage compartment having an interior that is accessible from a front of the backpack and first and second tripod leg attachment structures positioned below the optics storage compartment for securing first and second legs of the tripod against a corresponding first and second side of the backpack. When the tripod is attached to the backpack by the first and second tripod leg attachment structures, the spotting scope is positioned to be rotatable into and out of the interior of the optics storage compartment by a user.

Specifically, the present invention relates to methods and apparatus for converting a bag between backpack and over-the-shoulder configurations. A combination bag may comprise a bag body having a front panel, a back panel, a bottom panel, and an opening opposite the bottom and a strap, wherein the strap is fixedly attached to the bag body at a first connection point and slideably coupled to the bag body at a second connection point, thereby enabling a wearer to alternate between an over-the-shoulder and a backpack configuration without requiring that the wearer disconnect or reconnect the strap.

Abstract: A multipurpose organizer that can be quickly and easily converted into multiple articles such as but not limited to a carrying tote, a purse, a seat organizer and a head rest is provided. The method of making the multifunctional organizer and the methods of using the multifunctional organizer are also provided. In one embodiment the main body of consists of a single piece of material providing for low cost construction.

Abstract: A skateboard carrying strap is disclosed for holding a skateboard against a user's back, wherein the strap comprises two separable sections. Each section comprises a complimentary belt buckle end and a skateboard securement end. On each securement end are extendable elastic bands, are placed around the wheel trucks of a skateboard to support the skateboard. The user wears the assembly across his or her torso, crossing over the shoulder, while the skateboard deck lies against the individual's back with the wheel trucks facing away from the body and in connection with the elastic bands. The belt buckle end comprises a belt buckle or clasp engagement adapted to rest against the user's chest, while the disconnected securement ends of each section are adapted to secure each skateboard wheel truck. When the device is not in use, the strap lengths can be connected into a continuous section for use as traditional belt.

In one example, a base pad comprising cushioning material is contoured to conform to a person's shoulder. A plurality of fastener receivers are coupled to the base pad, and a fastener is removably coupled to at least one of the fastener receivers. The fastener is configured to engage the shoulder strap to removably secure the base pad to the shoulder strap.

The configuration of the shoulder strap system allows for the bag to remain substantially vertical during motions as the shoulders are raised and lowered.

Abstract: A strap for bearing the load of an object is disclosed. The strap includes a loop assembly rotatably attached to each end of a connector. Each loop assembly is a continuous loop of material, or two or more pieces of material joined together. The connector allows the strap to be placed on the shoulder of a user when transporting the object in a single-shoulder configuration. Each loop is connected to an object at a point opposite the elongated connector by an attachment having an aperture, thereby allowing the loop to move freely therethrough. The strap converts from a single-shoulder configuration to a dual-shoulder configuration, without needing to disconnect the strap from the object or removing the strap from the user, by the user extending an arm through each of the loops thereby transitioning the load of the object from the connector on one shoulder to a loop on each shoulder.

Abstract: This invention discloses strap apparatus that is attached to a carrying bag such as a purse, briefcase or message bag. The strap apparatus is constructed from a single flat strap configured as a closed loop. The loop is constrained to each side of the bag at the bottom; the outside first side and inside second side of the strap are also constrained to lie against the sides of the bag near the top; and the inside first side and outside second side are releasably constrained at the sides of the bag at the top. When fully constrained, the bag appears to a casual observer as having a standard single strap. However, when the constraints are released, the two strap segments may be separated and the bag can be put over the shoulder as a backpack. Two other modes, a dual strap and a long strap, are also disclosed.

An adjustable strap with two ends is fixed at both ends to the back side of the bag body in the vicinity of the bottom. The adjustable strap includes two end sections adjacent the ends, two extension sections adjacent the end sections and a middle section between the extension sections. A first secondary fastener is disposed between the end sections and extension sections and a second secondary fastener is disposed between the extension sections and middle section. The first secondary fasteners are configured to attach to the primary fasteners such that the middle section and extension sections form a long shoulder strap between the primary fasteners.

Abstract: A gun sling for carrying a rifle or shotgun is adjustable to serve either as a bungee sling or a fixed-length, non-stretch sling. In a preferred embodiment this is realized with a flexible sheath forming a portion of the sling, with a bungee cord or stretchable strap inside the sheath. With the bungee relaxed the sheath forms a non-stretchable but flexible portion of the sling. When the bungee cord is stretched and tensioned, the sheath gathers and shortens so that the bungee provides for a desired length of stretch.

An apparatus according to one embodiment of the invention includes a sling capable of supporting a firearm from a portion of a user's body. The sling can include a strap capable of being supported by a portion of a user's body. The sling can also include a first connector mounted to a first portion of the strap, the first connector capable of mounting to a firearm connector. Furthermore, the sling can include a second connector mounted to a second portion of the strap, the second connector capable of mounting to a third connector, and further capable of mounting to a second firearm connector. Moreover, the sling can include a third connector mounted to a third portion of the strap, the third connector capable of mounting to the second connector, whereby the mounting of the second connector to the third connector creates a loop in the strap.

Abstract: A combined diaper bag and purse includes a diaper bag with a plurality of bottle-holding pouches formed at opposed lateral faces of the diaper bag, and a purse conjoining directly to an anterior face of the diaper bag and oppositely situated from a posterior face of the diaper bag. The apparatus further includes a mechanism for detaching the purse from the anterior face of the diaper bag, a primary harness directly anchored to a proximal face of the diaper bag, and a plurality of auxiliary harnesses is directly coupled to the posterior face of the diaper bag. The apparatus further includes a mechanism for independently and slidably biasing each one of the auxiliary harnesses along a linear and horizontal path extending along the posterior face of the diaper bag.

Abstract: A lightweight comfortable support sling formed of soft flexible fabric material is supported around the back of the neck of postoperative patients in an inverted U-shaped configuration with the opposed ends of the sling hanging down along the front or sides of the patient's torso. Multiple conventional post-surgical fluid drainage receptacles can be secured at each end of the sling by hook and loop fasteners and adjustably positioned at locations adjacent to the body of the wearer to allow easy access and avoid tangling and stress on the drain tubes. While still having the drainage receptacles attached, the sling can be separated in the middle and easily removed from the patient's neck to relieve pressure, then re-fastened for ambulation. The sling is capable of supporting ten or more drainage bulbs.

Abstract: A golf bag includes a first shoulder strap attached to the body of the golf bag at its upper end on a first side of the spinal axis of the body and at its lower end on the opposite second side of the spinal axis of the body. A second shoulder strap is attached to the body at its upper and lower ends on the sides opposite the first shoulder strap, so that the two shoulder straps cross each other over the spinal axis of the body. A strap guide assembly comprising an elastic cord is connected to an intermediate portion of the second shoulder strap to urge it toward the first side of the golf bag to prevent the second shoulder strap from falling away from the golfer as the golf bag is hoisted onto the golfer's shoulders.

Abstract: This invention presents strap apparatus that is attached to a carrying bag such as a briefcase, computer bag, or golf club bag. In the first embodiment, the strap apparatus is constructed from a single strap that is configured as a closed loop. The closed loop is constrained to the sides of the bag near the top by two constraining means; the closed loop being divided into two strap segments of approximately equal lengths. Depending on how the straps are shouldered, the bag may be worn in a single-strap configuration, a backpack configuration, or a dual-strap configuration. Transitioning from one configuration to the other is easily done by the wearer without having to remove the apparatus from the bag. Furthermore when in the single-strap configuration, the straps stay together and appear to the casual observer as a single-strap as found on an ordinary bag. The appearance of the bag when in the single-strap configuration will not reveal its multimode capability.

Abstract: Handbags with multi-function strap systems and methods of utilizing handbags with multi-function strap systems are provided herein. According to one embodiment, a handbag with multi-function strap system includes a bag portion having an inside and an outside, a ring coupled to one side of the bag, and first and second fasteners coupled to the bag portion. The first and second fasteners are accessible at the inside of the bag, the first fastener is relatively distant to the ring, and the second fastener is relatively near the ring. A strap has first and second ends, and a hook is coupled to the strap adjacent the first end. A third fastener complementary to at least one of the first and second fasteners is coupled to the strap adjacent the strap second end. A fourth fastener complementary to at least one of the first and second fasteners is also coupled to the strap.

Abstract: A stand-up surfboard carrier includes two upward facing hook members sized and shaped to fit around a surfboard side edge. The hook members have inner, terminating portions, lower curved portions, and outer extended shaft portions. The shaft portions of the hook members are angled away from a centerline located between them at a first predetermined angle and are joined to a horizontal handle member at an end of each shaft portion. A shoulder strap is looped about the handle member and is sized and shaped to allow the surfboard to rest in the first and second hook members and below an armpit of a user. The handle member is offset outwardly from the shaft portions by a distance sufficient to provide a space for fingers of the user between the handle member and the surfboard. The carrier can be formed in two joining portions which disassemble for transport and storage.

Retainers are provided to keep the bag in the storage position. The bag has lifting apparatus, which may be strap. The straps may be anchored to the bag at a plurality of anchor points, some of which may be sliding keepers, such that the handle can be moved to a first position in which the bag may be held in a predominantly up-and-down orientation, and to a second position in which the bag may be held in a predominantly flat or horizontal position.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for systems/designs for a multi-purpose, dual strap and belt system that facilitates ready access to a variety of attachments. A multi-purpose, dual strap and belt system that includes attachments features for releasably securing tools or accessories to the dual strap and belt system is disclosed. The multi-purpose, dual strap and belt system has particular application for outdoors-related activities, e.g., fishing, hunting, hiking, climbing or the like. The present disclosure provides for systems/designs for a strap for a transporting device that can also function as a belt for outdoors-related activities, where the multi-purpose, dual strap and belt system/design includes attachment features for releasably securing tools or accessories to the dual strap and belt system/design, and where the tools or accessories are readily accessible to the activity participant.
