    Abstract: The present invention relates to novel cleaning compositions that are substantially free of cocamide diethanolamine. In an aspect of the invention, the compositions utilize a surfactant system and coupling agents as a replacement for the rheology modifier cocamide diethanolamine. The combination of a surfactant system and coupling agents can be used as a replacement for traditional rheology modifiers and foaming agents which are under regulatory pressure while providing concentrated liquid cleaning compositions with a viscosity of 400 cps or less. In another aspect the invention relates to novel cleaning compositions such as pot and pan soaking compositions, dishwashing compositions, food and beverage foaming cleaners, vehicle cleaning and the like suitable for use in hard water, which can be solid or liquid. The invention further relates to methods of making these compositions, and to methods employing these compositions.

    Abstract: A control unit of hydraulic pinch rolls 1 comprises: position detectors 10c, 10d that detect position of right and left cylinder pistons 6c; an arithmetical unit 13 that calculates a difference of output 16c, 16d from the position detectors; a controller 14 that processes a calculated value to make correction output; and add-subtract units 18c, 18d that add/subtract the correction output from the controller such that the correction output 17 is added to an end portion of the pinch rolls having a wider gap in a direction to push the gap and the correction output of the same amount is subtracted from the opposite end portion, by which the set values of pressing force control provided for right and left independently are corrected. Thus, a defective winding shape can be suppressed.

    Abstract: A slack puller has symmetrical sheave assemblies on each side of a cable path. The sheave assemblies each include a driven sheave mounted on an arm. When the sheaves are engaged with the cable by an actuator, tension in the cable pulls the sheaves in a way which tends to increase the compressional forces exerted by the sheaves on the cable. The self actuating nature of the slack puller allows compressional forces on the cable to be kept small until the cable comes under tension. The sheaves are driven by positive displacement hydraulic motors connected in series with a hydraulic pump. This permits the sheaves to turn quickly when the cable is not under tension and slows the sheaves as tension in the cable increases. The slack puller operates more quickly and causes less cable damage than conventional slack pullers. The slack puller has particular application in skyline logging operations where its compact size is an additional advantage.
