Abstract: The purpose of this invention is to propose a switching mechanism for switching stapling modes of a stapler, which mainly comprises a trigger, a supporting member, a slide member, a spring, a hooking member and a torsion spring. When the safety device of the stapler is pushed, then it further pushes the slide member to open the air valve, then at the moment, if the trigger is further pressed, the stapling counterforce will make the slide member escape the pressure from the safety device so to finish single stapling process. When the trigger is pressed first and then the safety device is pushed to further push the slide member to open the air valve, it will make stapling contentiously until the trigger is released. Above process then makes a contentious stapling.

When a workpiece-engaging end of the first safety member is pressed against a workpiece such that a tip of the nail is moved into a nail hole in the workpiece, the first safety member pushes and moves the resilient member and the second safety member toward the trigger unit along a longitudinal direction until a stop-engaging portion and a trigger-engaging portion of the second safety member come into contact with a stop portion of the housing and the trigger unit, respectively, thereby preventing further movement of the second safety member along the longitudinal direction while allowing for movement of the first safety member toward the second safety member against the biasing action of the resilient member.

Abstract: A control device for hitting nails of a pneumatic nail gun includes a control valve. The control valve is arranged in a main air flow passage between a trigger of the nail gun and the main air valve. The control valve has valve cover to open or close the main air flow passage. A valve bolt is slidably disposed in the valve cover. The valve bolt can be driven by the high pressure air to move down. A safety slide pole is slidably disposed in a gun body for blocking or releasing the valve bolt to move down. Therefore, a position of the safety slide pole can reflect a height of a work part which to be nailed. The valve bolt can detect the height reflected by the safety slide pole to guide in the high pressure air from the main air flow passage to hit nails. Thus, the controlling stability is enhanced. The components are also simplified.

Abstract: In a gas combustion type driving tool, on a feed cylinder 21 included in a feed piston/cylinder device 7, there is provided a spring for normally urging a feed piston 22 in a feed direction. A portion of the feed cylinder 21 opposite to the spring is connected to a combustion chamber 5 through a gas conduit 26. In an intermediate portion of the gas conduit 26, there is provided a delay piston/cylinder device A. One end of a delay cylinder 27 is disposed on the combustion chamber 5 side, while the other end thereof is disposed on the feed cylinder 21 side. When a delay piston 28 is slidingly moved from one end of the delay cylinder 27 to the other end thereof by the pressure of combustion gas, air compressed within the delay cylinder 27 is supplied from the other end of the delay cylinder 27 to the feed cylinder 21.

Abstract: An improved pneumatic tool design includes pneumatic motor chamber that houses a turbine. An air path directs compressed air into the pneumatic motor chamber. The air path includes an air inlet chamber that at least partially surrounds the pneumatic motor chamber. The air path also includes a motor inlet disposed in one side wall (e.g., the top wall) of the pneumatic motor chamber forward of the rear end plate thereof. The air path further includes at least one exhaust port disposed in an opposite side wall (e.g., the bottom wall) of the pneumatic motor chamber. A high-pressure seal, such as an o-ring, surrounds the pneumatic motor chamber and isolates the motor inlet, which is thus at a rear outer portion of the pneumatic motor chamber, from a forward outer portion of the pneumatic motor chamber.

  • Publication number: 20090090762
Abstract: A portable linear fastener driving tool is provided that drive staples, nails, or other linearly driven fasteners. The tool uses a gas spring principle, in which a cylinder filled with compressed gas is used to quickly force a piston through a driving stroke movement, while a driver also drives a fastener into a workpiece. The piston/driver is then moved back to its starting position by use of a rotary-to-linear lifter, and the piston again compresses the gas above the piston, thereby preparing the tool for another driving stroke. The driver has protrusions along its edges that contact the lifter, which lifts the driver during a return stroke. A pivotable latch is controlled to move into either an interfering position or a non-interfering position with respect to the driver protrusions, and acts as a safety device, by preventing the driver from making a full driving stroke at an improper time.
