Abstract: A recyclable, thermally insulated shipping container is entirely constructed from organic fiber materials in such a manner that the container is curbside recyclable without separation of component materials. The container includes a corrugated cardboard outer box having a bottom wall, a plurality of sidewalls and a top wall, a corrugated cardboard inner liner assembly comprising a corrugated cardboard inner box having a bottom wall and a plurality of sidewalls, and a corrugated cardboard lid assembly. The outer box, inner liner assembly and lid assembly cooperate to create a plurality of thermally insulated cavities which are filled and uniformly packed with predetermined volumes of loose-fill cellulose (organic fiber) insulation to create a predetermined insulating value. The container provides a fully insulated six-sided product cavity to receive a temperature-controlled product. A portion of the product cavity may be filled with a PCM or other thermal media to provide a consistent temperature profile.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods of producing a packaging container for bulk solids. The packaging container has an inner compartment and a transport closure closing the inner compartment, the transport closure being provided with a pressure relief valve, the method includes the steps of forming a tubular container body having an upper body opening; presenting the container body to an upper body opening sealing station comprising a plunger piston comprising a bottom plate, the bottom plate having a through hole; closing the upper body opening by pressing the transport closure into the upper body opening such that a pressure above an ambient pressure is produced within the tubular container body, allowing gas to exit the valve and the valve to be pre-conditioned; and attaching the transport closure to the container body wall.

The plug (300) generally comprises a hollow tubular body (302) with an open proximal end that is surrounded by a first rim (304) that provides a proximal abutment surface for bearing against a frangible sealing component of a cap assembly. A tubular skirt wall (306) is arranged coaxially with respect to the tubular body, and extends around the skirt wall (306) to form a plug recess (308) between the skirt wall (306) and the tubular body (302). The skirt wall (306) extends from a skirt distal end at which the skirt wall (306) is connected to the tubular body (302), to a free proximal end. Abstract: A food safety device for limiting cross contamination and preventing food borne illnesses. The food safety device is attachable and securable to a rim of a food holding or storage container on an edge or corner of the food storage or holding container. A flexible body is designed to fit over and frictionally engage the rim of the food storage container. The flexible body may secure to a corner or a side of the food storage or holding container. A labeling component allows food preparers and consumers to readily identify the stored foods and the ingredients. The labeling component may be pre-labeled, color coded, or adjustable.

Abstract: There is provided a cosmetic container which is easy to manufacture with a simplified configuration and capable of performing discharging and blocking of powder in a reliable manner and preventing the powder from leaking out. The cosmetic container includes a container body in which the powder is accommodated, and a brush part coupled to an upper end of the container body and provided with an opening/closing part provided therein to selectively discharge the powder and a powder brush provided in an upper end of the brush part.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods are presented for a wrapper for foodstuffs. An elastomeric layer is flexible and substantially planar. A metallic layer is malleable and substantially planar. An adhesive couples the metallic layer to at least a perimeter of the elastomeric layer so that the elastomeric layer, the metallic layer, and the adhesive comprise a food covering for a container and the metallic layer is configured to conform around an edge of the container.

Abstract: An embodiment of a box is configured to be transformed to include a tapered structure configured such that when the transformed box is inserted into the receptacle, the tapered structure provides a universal fit. An embodiment of an extender is formed by steps including providing a single piece of material having a first edge and a second edge and forming, by cutting the single piece of material, at least one top extension extending from at least one wall and at least one bottom extension extending from the at least one wall such that the at least one top extension is foldable to abut the at least one wall. A method for collecting waste materials includes providing a receptacle and a box, and disrupting the extender. An embodiment of an extender comprises a first wall, a second wall, a third wall, and a fourth wall.

Abstract: A method for providing crease lines to a packaging material having a bulk layer is provided. The method comprises arranging the material to be creased between an elastic anvil and a pressing tool having at least one protrusive ridge facing the anvil, and pressing the ridge towards the anvil such that the packaging material will be subject to an imprint, whereby the width of the imprint is continuously increasing as the ridge is pressed against the anvil.

Abstract: The cup (1) contains a pot (11), which preferably is filled with a concentrate of nutrition (19). The pot is closed by a lid (18) and is arranged close to the bottom of the cup and held against a vertical force, which may be applied, when the lid of the pot is torn off to use the contents of the pot. The pot shows a recess (16) at its outer structure, which is correlated to a shoulder (7) of the wall of the cup. When the pot is vertically inserted the recess snaps into the shoulder and provides a mechanical fixation.

The film is adhered to the inside panels of the carton, package, or container. The carton, package, or container are capable of receiving a lid and contents therein when formed. The cartons, packages, and containers include reclosable features and may be sealed against moisture and other environmental factors.

Abstract: A shipping container including a container body having at least one open end and at least one mounting opening formed therein adjacent to the open end, an end cap having a sidewall provided with a projection that extends away from the sidewall and a slot; and an external locking clip comprising an elongate member having a first end provided with a protruding portion and a second end provided with a receiving portion for receiving an end portion of the protruding portion. The end cap is received in the open end of the container body such that the container body surrounds the sidewall, the projection extends into the mounting opening, and the mounting opening is aligned with the slot in the sidewall. The protruding portion extends through the mounting opening and the aligned slot, and end portion of the protruding portion is received within the receiving portion.

Abstract: Disclosed is a product package which includes a packaging sleeve and a product container. The packaging sleeve has a first end that defines an opening and a closed second end. The sleeve includes at least one pair of locking tabs projecting from the first end, each locking tab including a locking edge and each locking tab being folded inwards into the opening. The product container has a body portion for receiving the product and a rigid end cap which sealingly engages with the body portion so as to house the product. The end cap is dimensioned to fit closely within the opening of the sleeve and includes a peripheral rim that, when the end cap is inserted into the sleeve opening, engages the sleeve end and prevents the end cap from being inserted further into the opening.

Abstract: An end cap adapted to releasably secure to a tube having a first open end to form a shipping container. The end cap includes a base, a sidewall surrounding and extending from the base, at least one movable projection biased to extend beyond the outer side of the sidewall, and a deformable sealing element extending from a perimeter of the base and/or from the outer side of the sidewall. When the end cap is secured to the tube, an inner side of tube surrounds the outer side of the sidewall of the end cap, the movable projection extends into a mounting opening formed in the tube proximal to the first open end, and the sealing element is deformed against the inner side of the tube to form a circumferential seal between the end cap and the tube such that the end cap completely plugs a passageway through the tube.

Abstract: A biodegradeable jar has an enclosure wall with a cap that form ajar that holds a semi-solid material. In order to prevent the biodegradable wall from being weakened by the semi-solid material in the jar, both an exterior surface and an interior surface of the wall and the cap include a permeation barrier material that substantially prevents the semi-solid material from seeping through the walls of the jar. The enclosure wall could have an inner wall that is shorter than the outer wall which forms a ledge that a separate cover for the semi-solid material could rest upon.

The tube has a cylindrical body and an open end. The cylindrical body has a mounting opening formed therein adjacent to the open end. The end cap includes a circular sidewall that is adapted to be received by the open end of the tube such that either the circular sidewall is surrounded by the cylindrical body or the cylindrical body is radially surrounded by the circular sidewall. The circular sidewall includes a projection that extends away from the circular sidewall and into the mounting opening so as to releasably secure the end cap to the tube.

Abstract: Disclosed is a product package which includes a sleeve and at least on rigid end cap. The sleeve has longitudinally opposed first and second ends, the first end of the sleeve defining an opening and having at least two locking tabs extending therefrom. The first end of the sleeve also includes a tear strip positioned adjacent to the opening which has been formed using known techniques, such as, microperforation. Each locking tab includes a locking edge and is folded inwards into the opening. A rigid end cap is dimensioned to fit closely within the sleeve opening, the end cap including a rim that, when the end cap is inserted into the opening, engages the first end of the sleeve and prevents the end cap from being inserted further into the opening. The end cap also includes at least one channel for receiving the pair of locking tabs, the at least one channel having a ledge that engages the locking edge of each locking tab to prevent the end cap from being removed from the sleeve opening.

Abstract: The present invention includes an improved food enclosure designed to harness the steam produced during cooking so as to rapidly thaw and cook the food; however, the enclosure also advantageously vents the steam in order to provide a crispier, more desirable food product. A “venting” container according to one embodiment of the present invention, includes a tubular body having at least one open end and a cap for engaging the open end. The cap comprises upper and lower ends, which define an intermediate region therebetween. The tubular body and cap are at least partially sealed together by frictional forces resulting from the interference between opposing radially extending protrusions disposed on both the tubular body and the cap. These frictional forces are opposed and eventually overcome by a steam pressure generated from within the container, whereby the cap is driven from a closed to a vented position.

Abstract: The present invention provides a cost effective, tamper-evident container that can be effectively closed and that is easy to use. The closure includes a disc having a aperture and a tab extending across the aperture. The tab is removably coupled to the disc in a tamper-evident method around the periphery of the aperture and permanently coupled to the disc at a connecting portion. The sidewall of the container is bent inward and down to provide a locking mechanism for maintaining the tab in a closed position after it has been opened.
