The primary flap is hingedly coupled to a tab. The tab extends towards the secondary flap. At least a portion of the tab lies within an aperture positioned between the primary flap and the secondary flap. The tab is configured to be inserted in the opening when the container is in a box configuration. Embodiments foster a container with insertable tabs that rapidly, easily, and conveniently transitions to a box configuration. Moreover, the container provides convenience and efficiency without compromising cost effectiveness and structural integrity.

Various embodiments are configured to store a consumable beverage or otherwise consumable liquid as well as at least one second item which may comprise an edible foodstuff, toy, novelty, etc. all in one convenient container. In some embodiments, the second items may be stored directly in the vessel separated from the liquid or the second items may be stored in a second container that may be removably seated in a portion of the vessel or in a lid that, once installed on the body, is not removable by the end user. The vessels may or may not be hand-held.

Abstract: A container assembly having an inner container and an outer cover fixedly attached to one another. The inner container has multiple sidewalls for forming the inner container sidewalls and has a bottom forming flap attached thereto. The outer cover has multiple cover sidewalls that fit over the inner container sidewalls to enclose the inner container. At least one attachment member attached to and extending from the outer cover is attached to the bottom forming flap, thereby fixedly attaching the inner container to the outer container. The attachment member can be separated from the container outer cover to allow removal of the outer cover from the inner container without marring the finish of the outside face of the sidewalls of the inner container. A knockdown assembly that is erectable to form the container assembly is also provided.

The lid may then be placed on the rim of the pan, such that a lip of the pan can be bent over the edge of the lid.

The risers are supported on respective corners of the base formed by each base side wall and a respective end of the one base end wall.

Abstract: A reclosable flexible package for storing a food product and a method of manufacture thereof are provided. The package includes a flexible film side wall, a closed first end, a closed second end portion that can be separated from the side wall to provide an access opening, and a collar. The collar can be formed in the side wall or attached to the side wall. The collar is more rigid than adjacent portions of the side wall and is rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the package to twist portions of the side wall and block access to the opening after removal of the second end portion.

Abstract: A carton fitment (2) for use in fresh packaging has a base flange (4) with an upstanding pour spout (6) adapted to be inserted through an opening in a carton such that the base flange seats inside the carton. A ring of induction heat sealing foil (10) is bonded to an exterior surface of the flange so that the fitment can be induction welded to a paperboard carton. The use of such fitments allows a carton erection and filling machine to be manufactured without the need for expensive ultrasonics welding equipment.

Abstract: Frozen novelty containers are provided. An all paper-based commercial frozen novelty container is provided having a volume between two and six gallons. A cardboard sidewall is formed into a cylinder having the volume. A cardboard bottom is sealed to one opening of the sidewall. The second opening forms a top of the container that can be opened and closed via a cardboard lid.

Abstract: A tray has a bottom panel, side and end panels and top shoulders at opposed ends of the tray. The tray is covered by a separate sleeve that extends across the top of the tray and down opposed sides and across the bottom of the tray. The trays may be stacked with an upper tray resting on the shoulders of the lower tray. The sleeve is a sleeve for the stack of trays with the side panels of the sleeve sized for different numbers of trays in the stack. There may be frictional tabs in the side panels of the tray or trays which have frictional engagement with the side panels of the sleeve.

Abstract: A method for packaging a roll of paper using a sheet of packaging material, whereby in the sheet of packaging material are applied a number of creases or folding lines running parallel to one another and bordering neighboring sheet parts. The sheet of packaging material is folded around the creases or folding lines in order to form a polygonal packaging box for the paper roll. The packaging box is formed by the sheet parts enclosing an angle with one another. Partitions are fitted inside the packaging box near the ends of the packaging box. A packaging box made by the method and sheets of packaging material to be used for making the packaging box and the enclosing member are also described.

Abstract: A gift box apparatus having a locking mechanism and a programmable timer for selecting a specific date and time for when the gift box apparatus may become unlocked to reveal a gift contained therein is disclosed. In one embodiment, the gift box apparatus includes an integrated compartment that may be automatically released from the gift box apparatus at a preselected time, thereby revealing a key contained therein, which may be used by a recipient of the gift box apparatus to unlock a main compartment of the gift box apparatus and retrieve a gift contained therein.

Abstract: An easy to carry lightweight carton for shipping and storing cut paper and for providing rapid and easy access to the paper when the carton is opened. The carton has a base portion and a lid pivotally attached to the base portion. The lid has a tear strip being defined by two parallel successive rows of inclined cut lines. Each of the inclined cut lines having a length (K) and further being spaced apart by a distance (D) wherein the ratio of D/K is from 1:2 to 4:1. A front wall of the carton may be pivoted down when the lid is pivoted up to facilitate access to the contents of the carton for ease of unloading of paper from the carton. A carry handle is built into the lid to facilitate carrying of the carton. The carton may be re-closed after it is opened.

Abstract: A storage box includes a flexible box body, a hard support board removably mounted in the box body to support the box body, and a cover removably mounted on the box body. The support board is receivable into the cover, and the box body is foldable when being compressed and receivable into the cover. Thus, the support board and the box body are received in the hollow inside of the cover to reduce the volume of the storage box to the minimum size so that the storage box has a smaller volume when not in use, thereby greatly saving the space of storage, and thereby facilitating packaging, storage and transportation of the storage box.

Abstract: A folding collapsible storage box is disclosed to include a folding collapsible box body, which has a front open side, a rear open side, a flexible retangular cover flap stitched to two adjacent ones of the four peripheral sides of the rear open side, and a zip fastener that fastens the other two sides of the flexible rectangular cover flap to the other two adjacent ones of the four peripheral sides of the rear open side, a supporting board inserted into the rear open side of the folding collapsible box body to support the folding collapsible box body into shape after opening of the zip fastener, and partition boards mounted inside the folding collapsible box body to divide the holding space of the folding collapsible box body into multiple storage compartments.

Abstract: Structures and processes for packaging produce in a manner that resists contamination due to dust, debris, and sunlight. According to certain embodiments of the present invention, fresh produce may be placed in a produce container having tabs extending from the top of the produce container walls. The tabs may preferably comprise a hook end. A produce container cover, preferably made from fiberboard or some other suitably lightweight material, comprising tab slots in locations complementary to the tabs of the produce container may be placed on the produce container as a cover. The tab slots of the produce container cover are configured to create a locking effect with the hook end of the tabs located on the produce container. This prevents the produce container cover from inadvertently being displaced during shipping and handling.

Abstract: There is provided an overcap for a resealable container that includes a drying agent layer. The drying agent layer is included in a top portion of the overcap and is positioned below a top layer of the top portion such that the drying agent layer is exposed to the interior of the container. The overcap may be formed from a multilayered coextruded sheet having a top layer of polymer material and a drying agent layer mixed with a polymer material. The multilayered coextruded sheet may also include a barrier layer, a polymer layer, and/or additional drying agent layers. Alternatively, the drying agent layer may be joined to the overcap by an injection molding process or by an adhesive. The drying agent layer is exposed to moisture in the interior of the container such that the drying agent layer is operable to absorb moisture from the air that enters the interior of the container during the opening and resealing of the container.

Abstract: A reclosable locking container and method for packaging dry materials, comprising a box formed from a foldable substrate and a molded reclosable, locking fitment, said fitment being lockable in the open or closed position. The container of the invention may be adapted to provide barrier packaging of materials to extend the shelf life thereof by incorporating a barrier material, fin seal closure elements and optionally a skived side seam, and a tearable perforated opening.

Abstract: The present invention includes a unique multi-purpose blank and resulting container for packing, shipping and displaying a product at a point-of-purchase. The container includes two substantially similar display units hingedly connected to one another along a detachable hinge line. The container holds products in a horizontal or vertical orientation. Additionally, the first display unit may be separated from the second display unit along the hinge line. Consequently, the display units may also be placed side-by-side, stacked vertically, or displayed singularly. A removable H-divider separates the first display unit from the second display unit and provides additional structural support. Additionally, an optional closure panel may be included to cover the display units.

The housing enclosing moisture-absorbent material and deodorizing material. The housing is enclosed within a jacket comprising a perforated contiguous wall; the wall defines an opening for receiving the housing. The jacket further comprises a closing member for closing the opening when the housing is within the jacket. The jacket can comprise a rigid, rectangular cage having a detachable lid. The semi-permeable membrane of the housing can comprise polyethylene or expanded polytetrafluoroethylene, individually or a combination thereof. The impermeable can comprise either polyethylene film or polypropylene film. The moisture-absorbent material can comprise a hygroscopic, deliquescent or a combination of a hygroscopic deliquescent and a gel forming polymer.

Abstract: A foldable, stackable box assembly, having a collapsible sleeve component and a foldable container which is insertable into and out of the sleeve by a built-in handle mechanism. The container and sleeve are formed of these folding blanks which, when assembled, create a sturdy, slidable drawer-like box assembly. The front of the container has a compressible handle-like mechanism. It is a characteristic of the container/drawer that the front wall has, extending down from the top, a panel which extends forwardly and terminates short of the bottom of the front of the container/drawer. It is held there by compressible panels, and forms the handle mechanism under which a user can insert hand or finger to pull out the container/drawer from the sleeve.

Abstract: The invention is a sealing device for connecting together at least first and second portions of a container, the second portion having first and second surfaces and an edge therebetween. The sealing device includes a first half of a hook and loop type fastener assembly, the first half having an adhesive coating for attaching to the first portion of the container. The device also includes a strip having first and second sections, the first section in the form of a forked end with first and second legs. The first and second legs include an adhesive coating for attaching the legs to the first and second surfaces, respectively, with the edge therebetween of the second portion of the container. A second half of a hook and loop type fastener assembly is mounted on the second section of the strip attachable to the first half of the hook and loop type fastener.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a packaging element comprising a supporting material fitted, on its face turned opposite the package, with a layer presenting a marking area and, on its face turned to the package, with a rough surface coating. The coating roughness has a depth of 1 to 100 &mgr;m, which can be obtained by using granulous filling material. The rough surface packaging element is suited as a covering element, including for yoghurt, as well as in the production of labels for bottle finishes.
