Abstract: Dual-compartment food container is provided having an base portion including a base panel having first and second compartments defined therein and a cover portion including a cover panel joined by a common hinge portion. The cover portion is movable relative the base portion about the hinge portion from a substantially 180-degree open position to a closed position, wherein in the closed position, the cover portion is disposed over the first compartment with the second compartment extending beyond the cover portion. Each of the base portion and cover portion include at least one interlocking tab to releasably latch the base portion and cover portion. An engagement feature of the interlocking tabs can also provide a tactile indication to a user that the cover portion is secured in the closed position. A unitary blank for forming the dual-compartment food container from a sheet of blank material is also provided.

A horizontal opening edge extends parallel to the planar top surface and the planar bottom surface. Abstract: A front-rollover-style and hammer lock shipping container formed from a one-piece unitary blank of material which comprises a bottom wall foldably joined to upstanding opposed parallel side walls, a back wall, and a front wall to form an interior space. A top wall is foldably joined to the back wall. The bottom wall comprises two front slots each of which is formed on longitudinal edge in proximity of the front wall. The front wall comprises two wall panels being coextensively in overlapping relationship wherein one of the front wall panels includes a pair of front locking tabs spaced apart from one another that are engaged with the respective two front slots when the container is fully constructed.

Abstract: A dispenser box having a modified rectangular shape with leaf-shaped end walls and partly curved main walls that may form symmetrically or non-symmetrically configured halves of the dispenser box. The first main wall has a substantially flat surface extending from a first side edge of the dispenser box and changing into a curved surface when moving in a direction from the first side edge towards a second side edge of the dispenser box. The second main wall has a corresponding substantially flat surface at the second side edge, which changes into a curved surface when moving in a direction towards the first side edge.

The carton may include a tab extending from one of the plurality of walls of the base. The lid may have a slit defined proximate a fold line, the fold line being where at least one of the plurality of walls of the lid meet the top panel, and the slit may be adapted for receiving all or part of the tab therethrough. The lid may also have a slot disposed on the top panel and inward of the slit. After being received through the slit, the tab can be folded about the fold line to lie substantially parallel to the top panel of the lid and a distal end of the tab may be inserted into the slot.

A rear cut may be provided generally coextensive with each of the fold lines. The cuts can have an arcuate shape and may be convexly curved toward an interior of the container.

Abstract: There is described herein a disposable clam shell food service container having a continuous sidewall which includes a novel flex-hinge panel between the lid and bottom of the container. This construction permits the container to open easily when the lid is pushed upwardly resulting in a flat tray like configuration devoid of the typical upstanding median wall or divider and which may be used as a serving plate by the consumer. The container may be easily snapped closed and locked to allow later consumption of any uneaten food products. Several additional embodiments of the invention are also presented, all of which include a continuous sidewall which ensures that the food product will remain warm and one of several lock means to secure the container in its closed condition. A triangular form of the container is also described for serving of pizza, pies and similar shaped food products.
