Abstract: A document case includes an expandable file module between two side panels. A flap may be coupled to a first side panel by a top panel. The top panel is resilient such that the top panel urges a second side panel toward the first side panel when the flap is secured to the second side panel to close the document case.

Abstract: A file folder includes a front panel, a rear panel, and two side expandable connecting members coupled between the front panel and the rear panel for allowing the front panel and the rear panel to be moved toward or away from each other in order to adjust a space between the front panel and the rear panel. The connecting members each include a V-shaped front connecting segment having a free end attached to the front panel with weldings, and a V-shaped rear connecting segment coupled to the front connecting segment and having a free end attached to the rear panel with weldings. One or more V-shaped intermediate connecting segments may further be coupled between the front and the rear connecting segments.

Abstract: A filing box includes two side boards, and a plurality of expandable file pouches mounted between the two side boards and each having an inside formed with a receiving partition. The receiving partition of each of the expandable file pouches has an open top portion that is cut in an upwardly inclined manner to define an upwardly inclined plane. Thus, the receiving partition of each of the expandable file pouches defines an upwardly inclined plane so that each of the files is partially exposed outwardly from the inclined plane of the receiving partition of the respective expandable file pouch, thereby facilitates a user placing and taking out the files.

Abstract: An expandable folder (10) is disclosed for holding reports. The folder (10) is formed of a single sheet of material (12). The folder (10) includes a back (14), a front (20), two sides (16, 18) and a flap (22). The sides (16, 18) are folded inwardly and the front (20) is folded upwardly to form a pocket. Tabs (68, 70) on the front fit into slots (58, 60) in the sides (16, 18) to hold the folder together. Two label sections (label section (82) and back (14)) are provided to allow the folder to be marked with identifying information.

Abstract: An integral tab 2-D or 3-D tab for a folder, and a method of making same is disclosed. The integral 2-D (flat) tab 300 is provided near the apex of the folder by cutting free/lose a portion of the existing flap material 14 of the hanging folder itself without the need for additional tabs or material being affixed. The cut creates the tab without additional material required. The 3-D tab 300 version is created adding a triangular portion 301 which is folded onto itself so that one edge surface is at an angle relative to the panels of the file folder allowing it to be read from the side and top. A perforated version allows for user selectable tab and a plurality of placements across the common edge allows the user to select the tab position.

Abstract: A divided storage system is formed of a collapsible container and a collapsible divided file assembly. The container includes a planar blank having a centrally-located bottom panel with four side portions, four side panels each foldably attached to a respective one side portion and movable to a position perpendicular to the bottom panel fasteners are carried by each side panel for attaching the side panels together to define an interior space. The file assembly includes files each locatable adjacent to the side panel and removably attachable thereto. The file assembly includes a plurality of file dividers located between the first and second files and are connected via accordion pleats. The first and second files include outwardly extending tabs with passageways therethrough and are attached to the container by being sandwiched between the respective end and side panel at each of the four corners of the assembled container.

Abstract: File section dividers for an expandable filing case are formed with expansive partitions having pocket panels extending from their lower edges and folded up and secured to the partitions. The pocket panels are formed with at least one linear pocket delineation seal parallel to the opposing side edges of the pocket panels. The pocket delineation seal divides the panel into a plurality of pockets which will have different sizes, depending upon the placement of the pocket delineation seal or plurality of seals. Preferably, pocket apron flaps are provided at the upper edges of the pocket panels to facilitate insertion and removal of documents and other objects into the pockets of the file section dividers. The file section dividers find their greatest utility when employed in a collapsible, portable document storage device having side panels formed into pleated accordion folds.

Abstract: An accordion-like file includes a rear panel having a folded base panel, a front panel having a folded bottom panel movable toward and away from the base panel of the rear panel, an expandable connecting member disposed between the rear panel and the front panel, and a coupling panel for adjustably coupling the bottom panel of the front panel and the base panel of the rear panel together, and for guiding and for limiting the front panel to slide relative to the rear panel. The coupling panel includes one or more grooves, and the front and the rear panels each includes one or more fasteners slidably engaged in the grooves of the coupling panel for guiding and for limiting the front and the rear panels to slide relative to the coupling panel.

Abstract: A portable filing case is provided with a stiff back, bottom, front, top, and foldable cover flap and is delineated into a rear compartment and an expandable front compartment by an upright compartment demarcation panel. The rear compartment is provided with a pair of flexible fabric rear side panels that extend between the file case back and the compartment divider panel. A pair of front compartment side panels are folded from top to bottom with a plurality of accordion folds that extend between the compartment divider panel and the front file cover. A plurality of file section dividers are individually secured to the expandable compartment side panels at separate ones of the accordion folds. A stiff-walled rectilinear tote box may be inserted snugly into the rear compartment to accommodate bulky items, such as thick catalogs and other relatively large articles. The file section dividers divide the front compartment into a plurality of filing pockets.

Abstract: An expanding file portfolio that comprises a front panel member, a rear panel member and a spine member, all of which are made from a substantially rigid plastic material. The spine member has a base portion, a front section and a rear section. The front section of the spine member overlaps and is attached to a portion of the front panel member and the rear section of the spine member overlaps and is attached to a portion of the rear panel member. A divider insert member extends between the front panel member and the rear panel member.

Abstract: A portable, expandable file section case is equipped with file section dividers, at least some of which are provided with pockets. The file section dividers of the invention are formed of a laterally expansive partition with a pocket attached thereto. The pocket may be formed either from the same sheet of material as the file section divider partition, or from a second sheet of material. For example, the pocket may be formed by an extension of the same sheet of material that projects from the lower edge of the partition and is folded back up into contact with the divider partition. The opposing pocket panel side edges may be secured to the file section divider partition by sonic welding or some other means. Alternatively, the pocket may be formed from a second sheet of material having a generally rectilinear configuration and formed in the manner of a patch on the divider partition. The pocket is secured along its bottom edge and its opposing side edges to the divider partition.

Abstract: An apparatus for organizing and retaining memorabilia includes a container having a front wall, a back wall, a pair of side walls and a floor. Insertable within the container is a plurality of folders, each folder having a front wall and a back wall. Each folder may be expandable. Each folder includes an inner pocket defined within it and the inner pocket of each folder may contain one or more slip pockets for holding items therewithin. Each folder may be constructed of a transparent material such that the contents of the folder are visible to the user. Each slip pocket may also be constructed of a transparent material. The container may be constructed of a number of materials and may include a container cover. The container cover may be hinged. The container may include a number of handles attached to or defined within it for assisting with transportation of the container and its contents.

Abstract: A document case comprising a back panel, a fixed pocket, and an expandable file. The expandable file has two opposing accordion-pleated sides and an accordion-pleated bottom. The expandable file joins the back panel to the fixed pocket. A closure flap extends from the back panel to close the document case by extending over the first expandable file and the fixed pocket.

Abstract: A compact disc container comprises a shell body and a plurality of disc pockets disposed in a hollow interior of the shell body. The shell body is provided in a left side and a right side with accordion pleats. The disc pockets are formed of a nonwoven middle layer and two plastic film outer layers. The middle layer and the two outer layers are joined at adjoining left edges and right edges with an outer fusion line and an inner fusion line. Located between the outer fusion line and the inner fusion line of one of the two outer layer is a slit. The disc pockets are fastened with the left side and the right side of the shell body such manner that the slit is corresponding to a tip of the accordion pleats, and that the outer fusion line is joined with a face of the accordion pleats.

Abstract: An expanding, portable envelope for use in transporting papers compartmentalized into organized sections is formed of a base sheet and a divider sheet. The two sheets are secured by a pair of transverse lines of sealing across the bottom of the envelope. A pair of divider panels is thereby created from a single divider sheet. Moreover, the bottoms of the pockets created between the divider sheets and the front and rear panels formed from the base sheet are closed, so that papers cannot slip down underneath the divider panels. The base sheet defines side panels that extend from one of the front and rear panels, and are heat sealed to the other. Bottom attachment tongues formed as extensions from the side panels are directed inwardly toward each other at the bottom of the envelope and are also permanently attached to the divider sheet so as to close and reinforce the bottom corners of the expanding envelope.

Abstract: A tote bag for paper and supplies includes a bottom wall extending between bottom edges of generally parallel front and back walls. Expandable side walls extend between parallel side walls of the front and back walls to form an expandable storage area. Dividers are disposed within the expandable storage area and either permanently attach to the side walls, or have apertures for removable attachment to cables within the storage area. A cover is movable between an open and closed position. The cover includes side flaps attachable to the side walls, or an inner surface of the cover. Handles extend from each of the front and back walls, and a strap formed on the back wall is configured to fit over an extendable handle of a roller tote.

Abstract: A portable document storage device is formed of a filing pouch having a collapsible pocket and a foldable flap extending from its back cover, and an expandable filing case. The filing case is partitioned by a plurality of indexed section dividers that divide the filing case into a plurality of pockets to receive papers in an orderly manner. Mutually engageable releaseable fasteners are located on the back cover of the filing case and on the front cover of the filing pouch. When the releaseable fasteners are engaged the filing case can be carried with the filing pouch and is enveloped by the foldable cover of the filing pouch. Alternatively, the fasteners may be released from each other so that the filing case may be completely or partially detached from the filing pouch.

Abstract: An expandable file folder includes a base wall, two cover walls extending from the base wall, two expandable end walls connected to the cover walls to confine a document holding space, and a plurality of partitions dividing the document holding space into volume variable spaces such that the end walls can expand for stuffing documents into the spaces. A bracing member is secured to lower portions of the cover walls adjacent to the base wall so as to maintain a distance between the lower portions when the stuffed documents cause bulging of the file folder.

A plurality of divider sheets are provided for each file folder. The divider sheets have side marginal edges that are secured throughout to the pleats in the side panels of their respective wallets. Release able fasteners are provided with mutually engaging fastening elements located near the upper edge of the rear cover of the small filing wallet and near the upper edge of the front cover of the large filing wallet.

Abstract: A single blank is used to make an expandable envelope construction having four side edges which can expand as the envelope construction is filled to capacity. The blank is provided with horizontal and vertical score lines and fold lines which permit the sides and bottom of the construction to collapse inwardly while the pocket enlarges in thickness and decreases in height and width. The blank has side flaps with corners at the ends which are overlaid by the back panel and closure panel in an unsecured manner to maintain the envelope in a sealed condition when expanded.

Abstract: A document holder includes a flat base part, front and rear wall parts, a pair of lateral wall parts, and a cover part. Each of the front and rear wall parts extends upwardly from a respective one of front and rear edges of the base part. The lateral wall parts extend between the front and rear wall parts, and cooperate with the latter to confine a document holding space with an open top. The cover part is hinged to the rear wall part, is movable so as to cover and uncover the open top of the document holding space, and is formed with a window section that permits viewing into the document holding space when the latter is covered by the cover part.

The auxiliary card file is inserted in the front chamber of the first outer casing.

Abstract: A multi-functional bag/envelope for carrying and/or mailing an item is provided. The bag/envelope includes a front panel, a back panel, a seal flap and a pair of side flaps that couple the front panel with the back panel. The front panel includes a first weakened portion that is at least partially overlapped with a second weakened portion that is defined in the seal flap. A third weakened portion is defined in the back panel and overlaps with said first and second weakened portions. The weakened portions may be broken to form a handle assembly that is hingedly coupled to the front panel, back panel and the seal flap. Breaking the weakened portions allow a user to carry the bag/envelope. Further, the punch flaps are capable of being resealed to the front panel, back panel and seal flap to hold the item within the bag/envelope during mailing.

Abstract: A multi-sleeve booklet for holding flat objects includes a plurality of sleeves joined in series and folded upon each other in an accordion fashion, and a spine panel forming a spine of the booklet and hingedly interconnecting all the sleeves together. Each sleeve has a pair of front and back panels hingedly connected together. The front and back panels are secured in face to face contacting relationship while the spine panel is joined to one of the opposed outermost sleeves and secured to the other of the outermost sleeves.

Abstract: An accordion-like file includes a bag having a base panel, two expandable connecting members disposed above the base panel for forming a gap between the bottom of the expandable connecting members and the base panel. One or more securing ears are attached to the bottom of the expandable connecting members, for detachably securing to the base panel and for blocking the gap formed between the bottom of the expandable connecting members and the base panel, and for solidly retaining the documents or the stationery goods within the bag.

Abstract: The invention herein relates to an accordion laser disc protective folder structure, more specifically a protective folder with two lateral expanding, continuous according folding sheets, replacing the conventional loose-leaf folder or the fixed laser disc protective folder; there are accordion folding sheets on the two sides of the protective folder and several protective pockets mounted according to the interval distances of the folds for storing the laser disc; the design of the accordion folds make each of the protective pockets display discs with a proper interval distance to allow the user, when trying to remove a laser disc, only to open the cover of the protective folder to fast glance over the whole contents of all the stored laser discs and easily search for the required laser disc, therefore solving the disadvantage of the conventional laser disc protective folder which required the user to turn each page one by one.

Abstract: A foldable paper sheet is formed having a sheet body portion, a sheet lower side flap extending out from a lower side edge of the sheet body portion, a pocket panel extending out from a bottom edge of the sheet body portion, and a pocket side flap extending out from a side edge of the pocket panel. The pocket side flap is folded in towards the pocket panel, the pocket panel is folded up and the pocket side flap is glued to the back face of the sheet body portion. The sheet lower side flap is folded and glued to the pocket panel. The pocket panel is thereby secured along both side edges to the sheet body portion, has an open top and thus defines a pocket on the back of the sheet body portion. The pocket panel can have a finger notch at the center of its top edge. A tab is cut out of the edge portion of the sheet body portion to form a tabbed divider sheet. The tab advantageously can be formed at any location along the edge portion including at a lower location directly adjacent to the pocket.

The folders comprise a front flap having a top edge, a rear flap connected to the front flap by a folder bottom, the rear flap also having a top edge. A slip-resistant portion is disposed on at least one of the flaps near the top edge. Methods for producing the folders are also disclosed.

Abstract: A compartmented file includes an outer file jacket having a front panel and a rear panel coupled together at a bottom coupling member, and one or more envelopes received in the outer file jacket and each having a front wall and a rear wall coupled together at a bottom coupling member which is secured to the coupling member of the outer file jacket. The coupling members of the envelopes and of the outer file jacket have different sizes for forming a flat bottom for each of the compartments formed between the panels and the walls of the outer file jacket and of the envelopes.
