Patent number: 11268302Abstract: Locking device having first and second combined connection carriers for establishing a detachable connection. A rotation element is rotatably attached at the first connection carrier and is provided in an inner region thereof. The inner region is centered with respect to a center axis and has a full radius. Elastic blocking heads are attached at the first connection carrier at the inner region, and are movable from a blocking to a release position. The rotation element includes segments extending up to the full radius and segments extending at a maximum up to a smaller inner radius. The segments extending up to the full radius move blocking heads into the release position and the segments extending up to the inner radius leave blocking heads in the blocking position. Key tongues move bordering ones of the blocking heads into the release position and allow rotation of the rotation element.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2019Date of Patent: March 8, 2022Inventor: Christoph Mathas

Patent number: 6418760Abstract: A mechanism for converting between rotational and linear movement includes a rotatable hub structure and a striker element having an inboard end and an outboard end. In one form of the mechanism, a pivot/spring structure is positioned to engage a pivot location on the striker element between the inboard and outboard ends of the striker element. The pivot/spring structure provides a deflectable pivot fulcrum which can be deflected from a pivot rest position in response to a deflecting force exerted on the striker element. The hub structure can be engaged with the inboard end of the striker element so that a rotational movement of the hub structure provides a force on the striker element tending to cause the inboard end to pivot about the pivot structure, deflecting the pivot fulcrum such that the outboard end of the striker element moves in a generally axial direction. The mechanism can be used in a latch.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2000Date of Patent: July 16, 2002Inventor: Ian J. Fettes

Patent number: 6237197Abstract: An apparatus for use in securing a golf cart buckle lever in a closed position includes a clip having a substantially U-shaped body that can secure the buckle lever in a closed position. The U-shaped body includes a front and a rear member that are disposed in a spaced-apart parallel relationship and a perpendicular top member which is disposed and attached intermediate thereto. An inner member that is parallel to the front member is disposed intermediate the front and rear members and is attached to the front member by a pair of inclined members disposed on opposite ends thereof. A pair of apertures are adapted to receive a locking device and a tether is provided to secure the clip to the golf bag.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 1999Date of Patent: May 29, 2001Inventor: Richard Cahill Donahue

Patent number: 4912950Abstract: A lockable buckle includes a body member, a latch member, and a rotary locking member. The body member includes a pair of locking side slots. The latch member includes a pair of resilient arms having raised tab portions thereon for releasably engaging the opposed locking side slots of the body member. The rotary locking member is disposed in the body member and is adapted for rotation therein between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the raised tab portions are permitted to bend inwardly so as to allow insertion or removal of the latch member from the body member. In the second position, the raised tab portions are prevented from bending inwardly, thereby inhibiting disengagement of the latching member from the body member.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 1988Date of Patent: April 3, 1990Assignee: Illinois Tool Works, Inc.Inventor: William G.
