The top disk is provided with a plurality of kidney-shaped apertures for receipt of the hook at the end of the elastic strap, or for a user's fingers or tool that might be used in releasing the magnetic base from attachment to a ferrous surface. The magnetically placeable straps may be used singularly or in combination to secure any of various items in the bed of a pickup truck or the like.
