Elastic Connector Patents (Class 24/300)
  • Patent number: 4606687
Abstract: A tie-down device interposed between a hook adapted to be connected to a vehicle frame and a chain adapted to be connected to a transporter and characterized in that the tie-down device includes a webbing which is encapsulated in a rubber jacket with the webbing being folded so as to provide a pair of longitudinally spaced loop portions one of which is formed by the overlapped and sewn together ends of the webbing and is connected through a spool member to the hook and the other of which is connected through a spool member to the chain.

  • Patent number: 4569108
Abstract: A wire is bent into an enclosed loop and double bent at each end to form a quadruple element hook extending from the loop. At least one elasticized loop is attached to the loop-hook by a pull-through knot. Additional elasticized loops may be added and alternated with rigid closed loops as desired. The entirely closed loop system may be used linearly or in a spiderlike fashion to bind external objects. Alignment of the two sides of the elasticized loop with the two sides of the quadruple element hook provides efficient load transfer from hook to elasticized loop. Prebending of the loop-hook opposite the hook further insures alignment.

  • Patent number: 4559677
Abstract: A stretchable tie-down device includes an elongated resilient stretchable tube, which is thin walled and pliable to collapse and flatten readily when pressed against a surface for gripping it frictionally and snugly. At least one hook member is fixed to the tube at one end thereof by means of a plug, which is disposed within the tube and for fixing it to the tube. The tube has a non-circular cross-sectional configuration throughout its length to provide a substantial surface area for facilitating the gripping of surfaces with the cord device. The hook member includes a flat metal hook having an outer coating of thermoplastic material thereon.

  • Patent number: 4554711
Abstract: There is disclosed a mold for making a fastener assembly which is substantially less expensive to construct and maintain than existing molds. The disclosed mold uses one-half the number of ejector pins ordinarily used in molding fastener assemblies having connected fasteners with bar sections and button sections joined by filament sections. The improved fastener assembly is useable in a hand-held tag attacher of a well-known type, e.g., as disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 3,650,452.
