  • Patent number: 5906031
Abstract: The present invention is a locking belt attachment assembly for an electronics device that allows the electronic device to be attached to a person's belt and that locks the electronic device into a vertical position, thus preventing rotation while the electronic device is on the person's belt. In an embodiment, the locking belt attachment assembly employs two pieces: a clip and a cleat. An attachment post on the cleat is designed to be selectively inserted into a slot on the belt clip, but once fully inserted into the slot, the attachment post may rotate. For the attachment post to be insertable in the slot, the electronic device is rotated to a 90 degree angle from the clip, positioning the attachment post in an insertable position relative to the slot.

Abstract: A universal pager caddy comprises a transverse bar having a pivotal pin connected at one end and a locking catch at the other end to engage the free end of the pin. A downwardly extending support member is mounted to the opposite side of the bar at each end curving outwardly and then downwardly in a substantially U-shaped configuration. The pager caddy is pinned to clothing in whatever location the user deems appropriate eliminating the traditional belt mounting. A pager clip is then readily inserted between the bar and the support member with the member engaging the back of the pager case securely holding the pager in a convenient selected location.

  • Patent number: 5893498
Abstract: A socket retaining mechanism to allow maintenance or construction personnel to quickly identify and gain access to a particularly sized socket. The present invention provides a socket retaining mechanism, preferably adapted to be worn on a utility belt, wherein a plurality of socket retaining mechanisms are strung from the utility belt, with each socket retainer being adapted to hold a particular socket. Each socket retainer includes means for retaining a socket thereon, and means for releasing a socket therefrom when it is so desired by the worker. As opposed to prior art systems, the present system increases the efficiency of the worker in that less time is required for searching for the socket of interest.

Abstract: A clip, for example attachable to both a refreshment tube of a reservoir-based hydration system and to, for example, an article of clothing. The tube clip includes a tube attachment section to attach the tube clip to the refreshment tube, and a clip section and locking arm to releasably attach the tube clip to the article of clothing. A person engaged in an activity may thus affix the refreshment tube to a location on clothing by engaging the locking area while a portion of the clothing fabric is within a clipping area. The location of attachment on clothing can be selected to provide easy, quick, or "no-hands" access to the refreshment tube. The clip may be formed from molded plastic.

Abstract: An implement holder to be attached to a cap or hat is provided. The holder is designed to be affixed to the side portion of the cap proximal the edge. The holder is an integral unit including a first leg, second leg and third leg. The first leg and the second leg are interconnected to form a first jaw or clamp, the first leg to be received between the cap and the head and the second leg to remain outside and flush to the cap. The first leg is resilient and includes means to maintain attachment to the cap. The side of the cap is placed intermediate the first leg and the second leg. The third leg and second leg are interconnected and form a second jaw or clamp which has the general shape of an U-shaped channel. The U-shaped channel is generally parallel to the cap when the holder is affixed thereto. The channel includes a plurality of longitudinal ridges located on the interior channel walls of the third leg and second leg. The second jaw may receive a pencil, pen or other elongated implement.

Abstract: A strap take-up device for a fashion accessory that includes an elongated strap of a purse or similar bag. The take-up device receives a strap in a looped form and selectively retains the strap in a plurality of desired positions. The retaining member receives and retains the strap in its desired position without slippage by providing a unitary body defining a spring clip formed of an elongated sheet folded, at least twice, back onto itself to form at least two strap retaining passages. The spring clip is elastically deformable to allow each of the passages to expand to an open position to allow a strap to be disposed therein and contract to a closed position to frictionally retain the strap. The spring clip is spring biased to contract to the closed position. In the preferred embodiments of this invention, the spring clip takes the forms of a W-shaped or S-shaped design.
